Mistakenly flashed his Nitro HD firmware LU620135_00.kdz. At the end of the phone firmware rebooted and started flashing all touch sensitive keys.
Pressing the power button no reaction.
When you connect the charging screen is black, then after 2-3 seconds start to flash all the touch buttons.
In the flashing mode is not included (Volume +)
I can not understand what the problem is, because of low battery? or unsuccessful firmware?
Battery voltage is 3.6v.
For two hours on the charge and remained 3.6v.
Sorry for my bad English.
It's because of low battery. Give him time to recharge, and try again. I have been the same.
The problem solved by applying a voltage 3.8v directly to the controller battery. With that device from the charger is not charging (after 4 hours the voltage at the battery and had 3.6v). You can also remove the battery from the phone and charge it through the dock charger (the frog).
Спасибо за помощь.
Ok, now THAT is beyond common user capabilities!

Did you ever figure out the problem? I am having the same problem with my Nitro right now and am looking for the answer. Please let me know.
Thanks,

battery is't the main reason,I usuylly flash rom even if it's only has 25% battery and
sussced
i can confirm this has happened to me many times with my p930
ive just left it plugged into the computer and after like 15/20 minutes it starts the charging animation, or if i had used the download mode it would start that,
so im sure that if u give it time it may restore itself to charger mode or you may be able to get back into recovery or download mode
and to note : this has only ever happened to me when it had a low battery, so i think it may be some kind of safety mechanism ??
not sure on that, but when it did happen and i saw the flashing touch buttons, i would just leave it there, and then next thing i knew, it was at the download mode or charge screen
i had a similar issue after i rooted but did not factory reset. if it really wont boot at all or looks like it isnt doing anything but flashing take it up to your local at&t. they gave me a new one when i told them i had just gotten it from them yesterday and was just letting it charge-cycle then it wouldnt turn on.
as the title states, once in the bootloop issue if your battery ends up at 0% and can't be charged is there a way out of this. Here is my issue. I can't get into recovery. Hboot or fastboot are the only options available. Sometimes it boots into the ROM but instantly dies once restarting. No clue as to the trigger as I've tried pretty much all the combinations of factory reset, reboot-bootloader, erase cache etc etc etc trying to get this into a non on mode so it can charge.
In addition to this of course anytime I plug the phone in it automatically turns on in either bootloader or fastboot which gives it no opportunity to charge at all otherwise I would simply run the RUU which won't let me until it hits 30%. I've more or less come to the conclusion I have to send it in because its not quite the same situation that others have experienced. But was hoping to get an answer/fix so I don't have to send it in to HTC to get repaired since the RMA guys just told me it'll be 10 business days before they even get in parts to the texas facility to get it sent there for repairs.
also of note, I had managed to relock the bootloader but can't get enough juice to run the RUU
Let's keep this thread open for possible solutions.
Seems we have a real problem, few ppl encountered the same problem.
It's because device can't charge in recovery or bootloader.
From Broncogr: Try getting some help on IRC http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=Htc-One-X&uio=d4
Ok, two questions.
First, where is the 30% battery limit on for the RRU enforced, because if its only enforced on the host PC side, we could disable it.
Second, I would half expect the phone to charge fine once it reaches 0% (or maybe a bit lower, whenever the battery protection circuit kicks in.) Has anybodies phone actually drained all the way to 0% yet?
(Not that I would recommend trying, it could leave you in an even worse off position)
My phone was. I intentionally wanted to discharge it completely once. I left it there to discharge. It was at 1% for few hours before it shutdown. Then I plugged the cable in. No red light, but it was charging. After some time, red light started to blink and finally stayed lit. I then turned it on after some time.
if the battery went out and completely dead
what i don't get why can you charge it while its off?
happened like described above keeps blinking until it have enough juice and lets you boot
please explain i don't get the problem but i'm holding away from root until this is cleared out
can't risk it, no warranty

That's not good. If it turns on before it reaches 30% charged, then it will just enter the no charge boot loop again.
Why does it turn on when you plug it in? You should be able to switch your phone off, plug it in to charge and it will stay off. At least, that's what happens with mine!
I also had this problem, but found a solution.. Well atleast it works for me!
I have an iPhone charger.. I thought it was charger related, so i'd gave it a try.
Just try to stick it to an other charger.. Even for other devices.. no problem. Just wait 15 seconds per charger for the orange led to appear. If the led is blinking, it's NO problem, just wait! After one minute it will change to continued led without blinking.
This will fix it!
I have the same problem, even with an Apple charger it wont charge enough to let me run the stock RUU. It charges OK, but then turns on and tries to boot. I can get into fastboot and 'power down', but it then stops charging. If I unplug the cable and reconnect it, it starts charging after a short while, then turns itself on and the cycle continues.
How can I get it to charge, not turn on, get to over 30% and let me run RUU?

Go into fastboot and reflash the stock recovery, and relock bootloader. Then you should be able to charge while off and then you can run the RUU.
I have the same issue. My backup seems to be corrupt. I don't believe there is a stock restore that came on the phone. If so where do i find this? I too have relocked but can't get to 30pct to ruu it.

My phone is not rooted, not messed with yet. Maybe that makes a difference? I'm waiting for other solution, like S-Off, I need full warranty, I will be selling it in few months.

I think in the interim recovery thread, there is a download for stock recovery.
You have to flash stock recovery and then should be able to load battery again.

I can't even get enuf juice to unlock. Gives me a low battery error while unlocking. Tried numerous chargers. No luck.

Can anyone confirm the light must be solid red to confirm a charge? Blinking isn't charging is it? It blinks for me but I can't get it to charge up at all.

In my case when battery was very low, it was blinking (and charging). When it got charged a bit more, it stopped blinking.
Did the phone always turn on to fastboot screen? I can't seem to have it stayed powered off once I plug a cable in.

I didn't flash anything, so in case of a phone which doesn't have any issues, that seems to be the case. It wasn't turning itself on, I had to turn it on and it booted into OS.
But for people with some sort of failed flash, it seems the phone does not charge properly and doesn't stay off while charger is plugged in.

You, dortok, are a legend, thanks. Worked a treat and finally I have a working One X
Thank you.
The thing is : The phone will DISCHAGER if you plug charger in when phone POWER OFF, I'v tried 1 times , charge phone to 100% and power off, plugin charger for 20 minute. Turn the phone on and phone have only 80% left. So it was DISCHARGE !!!!

As far as I know, phone-off will charge with stock Recovery on it. If you have CWM, it won't charge.
If you have CWM then it only charges on white HTC screen or after OS is loaded.
My phone doesnt connect to the pc and it doesn charge with the charger either. But when I turn it off it charges. Or if I tun it off and turn it on while its connect to the pc.
I didnt have this porblem before.
Im now back to stock 4.0.4
Any ideas ?
Im about to sell it and Im freaking out.

Hey,
I know this thread is ancient, but I was wondering if you found out what is causing this in your phone as I just started having the exact same problems as you.
Background info:
1 - I had no issues what so ever with the phone.
2 - I went snowboarding and I dropped my phone (stupid for many reasons I know) in the snow and I literally ran over it.
3 - That same day, my girlfriend spilled some beer on it (only a little, and it did not bath in it).
4 - The phone stayed on and worked correctly with no problem all day that day.
5 - I plugged in the phone to charge (while still one) and it does not charge, nor does it have the "thunderbolt" icon to show charging.
6 - I powered off. The phone shows the "thunderbolt" in white and proceeds to charge.
7 - Went to friends to watch superbowl. Borrowed his Galaxy SIII charger to charge. Does not charge while one. Also, does not charge powered off either (although the thunderbolt does show up while in the powered off state).
8 - Went home, and phone charged while powered off and using it's normal AC charger.
9 - Plugged into PC via USB cable, and does not charge powered on, nor off. PC states that the USB plugged in is faulty and is damaged (doesn't connect).
Any solutions/insights? Or is the hardware permanently damaged?
Thanks.

Ugh, nevermind, I found it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1599747&highlight=doesn+t+charge&page=4
I lifted the pins up some using an exacto knife. The bugger charges now, but my PC still says that the USB device is malfunctioning. Still, the bigger issue of charging is now taken care of.
I have a similar issue.. I went snowboarding the other day. When I was done and went in the lodge to leave I pulled my phone out and it got cold and was covered in condensation.. I was stupid and didn't power it down or pull the battery but just left it in my pocket.. When I go to the car at first it wouldn't charge.. I pulled out the USB and put it in a few times.. Finally it charged.. 2hrs later at home I was going to bed and went to let it charge and the first few times it wouldn't charge.. Finally it did and I fell asleep..
Now today I tried plugging it in and it wouldn't charge at all. I took it all apart messed around and it still doesn't charge right.. If I plug it in with the phone off and watch the battery charge screen it keeps re looping and the eventually doesn't show the charging screen at all..
The weirdest part is that if I plug it in powered off and I go into twrp.. It shows it is charging.. And from harp I can reboot system and when the phone boots up as long as the cable stays in, the phone will continue to charge.. But if I remove the cable and put it back it will not charge..
Unless I do it through tarp again..
Any thoughts?

Hi,
My uncle gave htc one m8 as a gift to me. He had bought it from Dubai. I have Started the mobile and filled all the personnel information to set up software. After that software update had come and it is downloading the update it is downloading slowly so i went outside i came back to home and checked my phone it was off i thought the charging is over and kept the charging but red led notification is not blinking after that i switched on the phone but phone doesn't start. The next day i went to the HTC authorized service centre and we have expalined the problem to them they said its a major problem but they are not saying the exact problem to us. and also we cannot send to service because it is dubai's model pls help me what do now...... Please help.............
First step would be to try another charger and cable.
If it still won't charge, it's likely the mini USB port or some other hardware issue.
try hard restart by holding the volume up until it restarts (maybe it will work)
do you feel the heat from your device or be in totally dark place do you see your screen bright?

You need to hold vol up and power for this to work, not just vol up.

I would suggest keeping it on the wall charger (not connected to PC) for several hours. Then try to power on again, or the button combo I gave above, as well as power+vol down.

I forgot to mention the power I swallowed it
Last night, my watch wouldn't stop turning the screen on, and I tried turning on theater mode but it would immediately disable and turn the screen back on. It kept turning on the screen until I rebooted it. It was draining the battery ridiculously fast, even after rebooting it, and I put it on the dock for a while, came back, and it was actually LOWER than before. Rebooted again, came back, and it's charging now, SLOW AS HELL. Been a few hours and it's only gotten 35% or so. What's the issue? It's never done this before.
Checked it half an hour ago, it was at 90%. Checked again just now, still at 90%....

Bump
It took it all night to get to 100%. This is bull****.
Seriously?! Still no response?
It's been freezing up since yesterday, too. I keep getting the "Android Wear has stopped" errors.
Ty to wipe the watch and paire it agaian, usualy wen mine is having problems charging is because the watch temperature is to high, if it haepens again try to put he watch in the refrigerator for a few minutes wen it geys cold place it on charger again, it will charge without any problem, dont forget batterys cant charge if hey are to hot!!!!!!
