I think I have hard bricked my LG G3, so if anyone is willing to unbricked it I will be glad to donate. I hope it could be done via Teamviewer.
Thank you guys!
What happend with your phone
G3
I tried to root, something went wrong, then tried to flash via flash tool, but it stoped on 6%. Then I was following 1 thred and accidentaly deleted laf, and did not have fastboot and download mode. Than tried hard unbrick method but something went wrong. Now I can connect it to pc with connecting two pins but dont have Mm tot file. It was lasting two days, I dont remember all the steps. If someon can do unbrick via teamviewer I will be gratefull. I have d855 european, last was MM Thanks!

Hi guys, idiot here.
I was trying to root and flash a custom rom on a D850 earlier but made the mistake of not knowing this was a D850 as I'm in the UK, so basically the rom I flashed was for a D855. It wouldn't boot.
I'm trying the androidrootz guide at http://www.androidrootz.com/2014/07/how-to-unroot-lg-g3-all-variants.html to take it back to stock but the LG FlashTool is saying the model is a D855...I've taken the cover off the back and it says D850 in more than one place.
I can't figure this out. I've tried the D850 and D855 TOT and DLL files in the flashtool and neither work. The D850 files tell me it's the wrong model and the D850 files tell me something about a partition change failure.
I can no longer access recovery as the FlashTool seems to have done something to wipe it, as it gets around 6% through. The only screen I can access is the firmware update screen.
Any ideas? I'm desperate.

Hey, i know this post was posted 2 years ag but I have the same problem, did u manage to solve it?
flashed D855 rom to LS990 and only .tot roms available "device modele diff".. HELP!
Hello everyone !
So i bought this G3 online (second hand), on th back it sais it's D855 variant 32/3 and it had kitkat.. and wanted to upgrade so i looked it up and found MM update 30B.kdz so i backed up my EFS and flashed it then i got stuck in a bootloop so i flashed another rom LP 21A.kdz and it worked but no network neither WiFi or BT.. USB debugging works but no MTP or PTP connexion and Model name became D855V.. i looked this problem online and someone mentionned it may be caused because it's a different variant, checked my device info on some IMEI check websites and they said it's L990.. i opened it up to confirme and it says it's indeed a LS990 on the motherboard.. so i tried to flash a LS990 rom back but all i could find is a .TOT extension roms which demands a .dll file and check etc.. and no .kdz since Sprint didn't realease any as far i found out, i tried flashing them using LGUP and LG Flash Tool and they both gave me an erreur message that it's a different device modele.. tried different .dll files LS990....dll , D855....dll and LGUP8974.dll wich is supposed to ignore some checks but still nothing worked.. i think .kdz roms doesn't do that check wich brought me to this problem in the 1st place.. but i couldn't find a .kdz rom for LS990 anywhere.. found US990...kdz but don't think it's the same !
So somone told me to try sth so i installed a hex editor(HxD) and opened the LS990 .tot and searched for every "LS990" header and changed them all to what replaces "D855" in D855 .tot.. stop me if i'm in the wrong way, then saved the work so the LS990 .tot should be disguised as a D855 .tot right ? and i got the D855 .dll already. i was worried that it would cause a hardbrick or sth .. it's not like i have many options but i just didn't want to make things worse.. then i tried to flash it anyway but both lg flash tool and lgup pop up an errour message after check and stops before it even starts
Ps: while i was in Maths class i was trying o think of sth.. and thought
that i may be able to root it and install TWRP then flash a LS990 rom since i have USB debugging working.. but i have to root it first and the way to root it while on LP is LG One Click Root but i'm having a hard time doing that although i tried everything but i think that's because of the wrong rom.. just wanted to mention it !
guys please help !.. i'm a civil engineering student whom is drowning in debts and spent the last money i got on this phone because i needed it and can't afford to lose it like that.. you could letteraly save my life ;D
sorry for bad English.
:crying:
My issues is quite complicated. Please be patient and read on.
Less than a week ago, I bought an LG G3 D855. It wasn't brand new and definitely out of warranty.
It was on the 4.4.2 Os version but I couldn't update it because I couldn't locate the UPDATE CENTER and after some research online, I found out it was because it was rooted. I couldn't find a Supersu application anywhere on the phone anyways but Root checker confirmed that it was rooted.
I downloaded the stock kitkat firmware in a .tot format and I tried flashing using LG Flash Tool for TOT but it failed because "Device version is different"
I checked the Imei online and it stated that the device is a Sprint LS990 but the details embedded in the phone all say it is D855
I checked online and found a couple of posts about this error and one user said he was able to fix it by flashing the actual Sprint .tot with the lg flash tool. I tried that but it didn't work. It still said "Device version is different. Check BIN or dll"
I checked online and found results pointing to a generic .dll file for G3s and I downloaded it but when I used it on the Flash tool, it resulted to an error "CrossDL blah blah"
So I found a Marshmallow kdz file. LGUP won't see my device model so I was able to flash it after editting the software in my build.prop to D85510n.
***I have always changed the port to COM41 in all the steps I used
The LG UP detected my model and it flashed to 100% but got stuck on a bootloop by loading the lg screen, freezing and restarting by it self. It never gets to the homescreen.
I downloaded lollipop kdz reflashed using LGUP in a form of downgrade and it got to 100% and got stuck at the lg screen while trying to reboot.
I redownloaded the stock kitkat rom and used the Lg flash tool but it failed. It said 'PID null IMEI Null"
I used LGUP to reflashed. It came to my understanding that the LGUP can flash both kdz and tot. So it flashed to 100% but got stuck at the lg screen and I have tried all I can but it is stuck. It can go into download tho. I don't know what to do about the IMEI. I don't know if the last flash retrieved it. I don't kniw what to do.
It no longer shows as LGE AndroidNet USB Serial
Please can anyone help me?
I just need my phone to work again. I was stubborn and now I regret it. I should have just stuck to kitkat. I'm so desperate to get my phone working that I wouldn't mind Android Froyo Os if it was ever possible.
PLEASE HELP!!!

Folks.
Got the same problem now (with my wife's phone). I'd appreciate it if instead of helping people privately you'd tell everyone what to do to fix the problem.
I had the same problem, downloaded .tot file via IMEI check (can't remember where from) and used that .tot file with BoardDiag, flashed everything as in tutorial (google it), it was 4.4.2 Android, couldn't update it (software is up to date) so I rooted it, flashed twrp 3.0.0 and installed Fulmics 8.0, it works now just fine
I have tried every method I can find to root my g3 6.0. Kingroot, PurpleDrake, etc. I've tried every method to revert back to 5.0 I can find, LGUP, LG Flashtool 2014 and 2015, none of them work.
I then decided to give up and pay a shop to do it for me. But when I asked about it, they said they couldn't do it. Reason being that 6.0 updated the boot loader, and if you tried to revert, it would brick the phone. If this true or did they just not know what they were doing?
If anyone can help me to root this phone or revert to 5.0 I'd really appreciate it! Nothing I find seems to work.
If you have D855 reverting with LGUP works.

Sorry my fault, I should I been more specific on my model. I have a D852, originally from Virgin Mobile.
Very strange. People writted that LGUP can downgrade ot LP - read - https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/help/root-d852-canada-marshmallow-6-0-t3356842

Is there any truth to downgrading bricking my phone?
I can't really tell. I think no. BTW did you even tried to downgrade with LGUP or you write nonsense in OP?
No I did try the guide on https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089
When trying KDZ method, it just stops after loading the LG update tool, tells me it encountered an error, or it couldnt connect to the server. I tried leaving it for 15 mins, then unplugging and replugging it back in, nothing happend.
When trying TOT method, I get a version mismatch. I know I have the right version of files but nothing.
Looks like there has been no luck rooting Canadian G3 so far: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/help/root-d852-canada-marshmallow-6-0-t3356842

I had the same problem with the KDZ method. Did it ask you if you wanted to retry? When I chose to retry, it worked fine afterwards. *
*Caveat...someone told me that that unable to connect error is a false error and that it should just continue after clicking retry. I wound up having to unplug my phone, pull the battery, rebooted/reconnected into download mode, chose the retry button and it worked.
i have successfully downgraded from MM to LL following this post.

1)What do you mean permanently locked...carrier/sim, mcafee security, something else? If it's carrier you can order a sim unlock code off of ebay for @$4.00 us, or use any other sim unlock services out there.
2)If you changed a d851 to a d850 using board diag and manually loading the partitions - then why not extract a d851 tot and do the same thing?

1) I don't know of a free way to get an unlock code, so if you can't order one you're probably stuck. Pay a friend who can order one for you?
2) If we're on the same page here and you previously used the board diag tool then that should work again. Hard brick usually shows up in your device manager as qualcomm 9008 instead of an lg device, so to get back to that condition you would have to open the phone up and short a pin -
follow the guide in the link I posted before and you should be good to go. I don't have links for any d851 tot files though...sorry, not my variant.

Unfortunately...I think so. If you were to try and use the lg flash tool and try and tot a d851 file into a d850 it'll probably throw some errors - model check, for ex - and won't flash. You can try and see for yourself if you'd like...here's a link for a couple tools; the 1st is kdz method, second is tot: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089
To brick it again follow guide I linked( https://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-lg-g3/general/guide-fix-hard-brick-recovery-guide-t3132359), short that 2nd jtag pin in the pic for @5 seconds, plug in the usb, and it should go to qualcomm 9008. You already know how to do the rest as far as loading partitions and such, and if you don't the guide will tell you what to do.
Good luck :good:

Yeah....and?
Re-read your previous post where you asked if you'll have to brick it again.
I said yes, and gave you a link on how to do it. Did you read the link? My guess would be no, since the 1st 4 steps tell you how to brick it and enter qualcomm9008 mode.
You're on your own now. Good luck. And you're welcome for the time I spent trying to help you.

It's cool. Yes the guide is for already bricked phones, but what I was trying to say is since you have a functional phone rt now you're gonna have to brick it, and by brick it I mean qualcomm9008 mode, and that's what the 1st part of the guide shows you how to do by shorting out the pin. Once you get to Qualcomm mode you can then use the board diag tool and load your partitions that you extracted from the tot and hopefully get back to your original d851 phone and get back up and running. Does that make more sense?
Again...good luck

I hard bricked it again and then extracted another D851 tot and then loaded all the necessary partitions but the phone still on qload mode i copied the sbl1.mbm of the D850 and tried them with D851 partitions the phone revived but not in download mode.
I managed tp recover all partitions and the phone is on dowloading mode but still detected as d850 so i have the dll cross error everytime i try to flash a rom even with using the custon dll file.
