Hi guys, idiot here.
I was trying to root and flash a custom rom on a D850 earlier but made the mistake of not knowing this was a D850 as I'm in the UK, so basically the rom I flashed was for a D855. It wouldn't boot.
I'm trying the androidrootz guide at http://www.androidrootz.com/2014/07/how-to-unroot-lg-g3-all-variants.html to take it back to stock but the LG FlashTool is saying the model is a D855...I've taken the cover off the back and it says D850 in more than one place.
I can't figure this out. I've tried the D850 and D855 TOT and DLL files in the flashtool and neither work. The D850 files tell me it's the wrong model and the D850 files tell me something about a partition change failure.
I can no longer access recovery as the FlashTool seems to have done something to wipe it, as it gets around 6% through. The only screen I can access is the firmware update screen.
Any ideas? I'm desperate.

Hello everyone !
So i bought this G3 online (second hand), on th back it sais it's D855 variant 32/3 and it had kitkat.. and wanted to upgrade so i looked it up and found MM update 30B.kdz so i backed up my EFS and flashed it then i got stuck in a bootloop so i flashed another rom LP 21A.kdz and it worked but no network neither WiFi or BT.. USB debugging works but no MTP or PTP connexion and Model name became D855V.. i looked this problem online and someone mentionned it may be caused because it's a different variant, checked my device info on some IMEI check websites and they said it's L990.. i opened it up to confirme and it says it's indeed a LS990 on the motherboard.. so i tried to flash a LS990 rom back but al i could find is a .TOT extension roms which demands a .dll file and check etc.. i tried flashing them using LGUP and LG Flash Tool and they both gave me an erreur message that it's a different device modele.. tried different .dll files LS990....dll , D855....dll and LGUP8974.dll wich is supposed to ignore some checks but still nothing worked.. i think .kdz roms doesn't do that check wich brought me to this problem in the 1st place.. but i couldn't find a .kdz rom for LS990 anywhere.. found US990...kdz but don't think it's the same !
guys please help !.. i'm a civil engineering student whom is drowning in debts and spent the last money i got on this phone because i needed it and can't afford to lose it like that.. you could letteraly save my life ;D

Download LS990 .tot and D855's .dll. Use a hexeditor to change the headers of the ls990 .tot to the name found on the D855's .tot. Flash the generated LS990(now disguised as a D855) .tot unto phone using the D855's .dll
So i installed a hex editor(HxD) and opened the LS990 .tot and searched for every "LS990" header and changed them all to what replaces "D855" in D855 .tot.. stop me if i'm in the wrong way, then saved the work so the LS990 .tot should be disguised as a D855 .tot right ? and i got the D855 .dll already. is that ready to be flashed now ? wouldn't it cause a hardbrick or sth ?.. it's not like i have many options but i just don't want to make things worse..
Ps: while i was in Maths class i was trying o think of sth.. and thought

Hello, Since the Board Giag Tool Doesnt work for the D851 and the only way to unbrick the D851 is by sending it to LG Repair or Some Other Repair or Flashing it with either Medusa Box or Octoplus Box. It wasnt long when @Kathik figured out that the LG G3 F460 S/K/L which is also not supported by the Board Diag Tool can be unbricked by creating a debrick image. You can find his thread here.
This debrick image that @Kathik used is just a dump of the bootloaders from a working LG G3 F460. And all we need to do is to find a way to create the debrick image from a working D851 running the firmware version the bricked D851 was on before it got bricked.
Fortunately for all of us, i got my hands on the zip file which creates the dump or debrick image (Thanks to @Anik49) We have the file.
So all we need is volunteers to flash this zip file in TWRP and once done, you should see a file name debrick.img.zip on your Sdcard.
If this work, we wont need to send our devices for repairs or dissasemble them when they get bricked.
Please feel free to ask any questions about the process.
I flashed the zip and it said it created the debrick.img.zip but I am unable to locate it anywhere. I'm assuming this is because I am on Stock LG Marshmallow with the slight research I did with the thread you linked.
Sorry bud, I tried. It was the only G3 I had hands on. I hope someone else will volunteer in our community.

I wrote in the other thread, the day that I put to work to upgrade to Marhsmallow, i will make the debrick files in some versions as 10c, 10f and other higher ... Right now I have a lot of work and I can not do today. Greetings

I tried creating the unbrick SD this week but failed to do. Seems like the phone was not actually reading from the SD files.
But I have successfuly created the files to unbrick the phone now as long as the phone is in 9008 mode.

Hi again, this is my debrick file from D851 running Cloudy 1.2 over a fresh V10c instalation. If it's necesary another version or V10c without Cloudy 1.2, tellme... i will upgrade to marshmallow in next weeks.

My issues is quite complicated. Please be patient and read on.
Less than a week ago, I bought an LG G3 D855. It wasn't brand new and definitely out of warranty.
It was on the 4.4.2 Os version but I couldn't update it because I couldn't locate the UPDATE CENTER and after some research online, I found out it was because it was rooted. I couldn't find a Supersu application anywhere on the phone anyways but Root checker confirmed that it was rooted.
I downloaded the stock kitkat firmware in a .tot format and I tried flashing using LG Flash Tool for TOT but it failed because "Device version is different"
I checked the Imei online and it stated that the device is a Sprint LS990 but the details embedded in the phone all say it is D855
I checked online and found a couple of posts about this error and one user said he was able to fix it by flashing the actual Sprint .tot with the lg flash tool. I tried that but it didn't work. It still said "Device version is different. Check BIN or dll"
I checked online and found results pointing to a generic .dll file for G3s and I downloaded it but when I used it on the Flash tool, it resulted to an error "CrossDL blah blah"
So I found a Marshmallow kdz file. LGUP won't see my device model so I was able to flash it after editting the software in my build.prop to D85510n.
***I have always changed the port to COM41 in all the steps I used
The LG UP detected my model and it flashed to 100% but got stuck on a bootloop by loading the lg screen, freezing and restarting by it self. It never gets to the homescreen.
I downloaded lollipop kdz reflashed using LGUP in a form of downgrade and it got to 100% and got stuck at the lg screen while trying to reboot.
I redownloaded the stock kitkat rom and used the Lg flash tool but it failed. It said 'PID null IMEI Null"
I used LGUP to reflashed. It came to my understanding that the LGUP can flash both kdz and tot. So it flashed to 100% but got stuck at the lg screen and I have tried all I can but it is stuck. It can go into download tho. I don't know what to do about the IMEI. I don't know if the last flash retrieved it. I don't kniw what to do.
It no longer shows as LGE AndroidNet USB Serial
Please can anyone help me?
I just need my phone to work again. I was stubborn and now I regret it. I should have just stuck to kitkat. I'm so desperate to get my phone working that I wouldn't mind Android Froyo Os if it was ever possible.

It boot until home screen but after a while black screen and it s hard to power on it again. Then need to wait a time to boot it again.
What the problem?

I had the same problem, downloaded .tot file via IMEI check (can't remember where from) and used that .tot file with BoardDiag, flashed everything as in tutorial (google it), it was 4.4.2 Android, couldn't update it (software is up to date) so I rooted it, flashed twrp 3.0.0 and installed Fulmics 8.0, it works now just fine
Hey guys, as the title itself suggests I have a lg g4 in the Korean version F500L that after I installed a European stock rom of android 6.0 the brickou phone, so far so good since I knew the problem was in the firmware because it still showed that screen when removing the battery, the problem is that I installed an eMMC file (if I'm not mistaken this is what the file is called) from lg g4 h815 with QFIL, and from then on the phone died and stopped to show that screen when I took the battery, I did some tutorial here from the forum where I was able to install a corresponding rom of my F500L, and after that the phone makes noise and lights the LEDs but shows nothing on the screen, so I wanted wondering if anyone could help me by posting somewhere for me to download the QFIL file of the right version that is on his board which is the F500L so I can fix my cell phone.

Before you screw things up even more, suggest you refer to this thread: [GUIDE][9008][EDL|QDL][QUALCOMM ONLY] Unbrick via external sdcard (no QFIL!) and ask the author of the thread steadfasterX for some help - reference the OP (original first post by the author) and refer to the paragraph titled, Support / IRC Channel as you will get the best direct help there to solve your mess, if it is even possible now. He knows more about the LG G4 and the problems you are facing than anyone else in the LG G4 forums. You may ultimately be facing replacing the motherboard but that is for steadfasterX to determine.
