My screen will flicker (white lines go up and down the screen) and then crash when I goto google chrome or Instagram and if my battery is really low it will crash even on lock screen.

Device is 6 months old
Please help me fix this and i checked the back to make sure my tablets battery isn't bulging
Try to flash the stock rom. You can download the firmware with this amazing tool: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/general/tool-samfirm-samsung-firmware-t2988647 credits to @zxz0O0
Then flash the file with Odin.(direct download: http://odindownload.com/download/Odin3_v3.10.7.zip )

Maybe its an hardware problem. If that problem is on stock rom too, i dont know any solution
that happens to me friend io send it to samsung for warranty the replace my battery it was rooted cont 1 but they still fix it good luck
Mine had the same exact problem. I opened mine up via youtube video and ripped out the battery and reattached the leads to the battery terminal. That fixed it. No more lines or crashing and the battery levels are more accurate.

can you provide the video link for the reference and also a video on how to soldier the battery connector.
OR
can someone please make a video on it?

Hello Lads,
I have the same problem too. I am going to try this battery solution and will explain the results soon.
See you.
Demir
Mine was battery... Under warranty... And no probs after that
The 8.4" can have a problem with a loose battery connector, symptoms lines on the screen (it might just need refitting), if it`s not that it`s most likely a bad battery, you can get them quite cheap on ebay, and the tools are cheap as well, do the replacement yourself there are guides on youtube.

It looks like a bad sensor. Is it happening consistently in different camera apps? What happens if you try a camera app such as Camera360 that lets you alter the ISO (in normal mode)?
If possible, can you upload samples taken against a solid white background under even lighting?
Please, anyone??? i have the same problem.... i've changed the camera, still fail

I had the exact same issue on HTC G2, it's indeed hardware. The great news is it's just a mechanical issue: Push on the camera, perpendicular to the battery case (straight into the phone). It will fix this issue.
Lots of success with this method at androidforums. I cannot post a link, but google "androidforums evo camera 152727"
Cheers

+1. I had this with all three of the G1's I owned, and I had it with my G2 not too long ago. Not sure why this keeps happening, but just put the phone screen down on a table, and push down on the camera. One of the strangest fixes ever but hey, whatever works!
hello everybody, thanks for coming out tonight!
the problem:
no matter how much i leave my wildfire charging, it DOES NOT REACH 100% and the percentage that it reads at most is 70%
this problem occurred after i used Battery Callibration app to calibrate my battery (i tried to calibrate cause i thought that it reads wrong percentage)
is there ANYONE helping me out please?
p.s. i have root access and i have tried hard reseting (bootloader clear storage) and format \cache \boot \system \data in recovery and all......... nothing helped! i also tried several roms including cm7.2 and RUUs. non of them helped.
That is a hardware issue, most of us including me face this issue.I'm sorry, there's no real solution for it.

thanks for the answer dude
how come this is a hardware issue? we went through a software-related procedure and now it is about hardware!? i mean we didn't change the input voltage... did we??? it's really odd to me.
did it happen for ur phone after using Battery Calibration app?
what if i change the battery, does it make it right like before?
another thing to consider is what Battery Monitor Widget Pro shows. it says that my battery at most is filled with 900 mAh out of its 1300 mAh nominal capacity!!
what exactly does this app do??

I dont think that battery calibration app caused this..There mst be some flaw with our motherboard or may be it caused due to voltage fluctuations.I saw people changing batteries which didnt help.I dont know but no matter what you do,the problem is just there.

In that case I would make a backup and flash a complete stock rom (including stock kernel and a full wipe). It is the kernel that does the power management.
P.s.

and yesss i removed that goddamn batterystats.bin several times!
and i used several kernels:
-stock

i have also used several stock and custom roms
and in clockworkmod recovery i also tried removing battery stats, wiped data/factory reset, wiped cache partition, formated boot & system & data & cache. none of them helped!
p.s. <b> i wish you all the best in the new year, happy new year bro </b>

if it had something to do with the rom or even the kernel, flashing a ruu should have fixed it.
As others say, I also expect it to be hardware related, perhaps the app somehow changed certain voltage parameters and overburned/underburned/eated your battery cappacity. But I just stumbled upon this, and thought you might as well give it a try.
Good luck!

Anyway, it happens the same with me. I wouldn't be so worried about it. If your battery isn't flat and your battery drain seems normal for the usage you give everything is fine. Must be some thing related to the kernel

As far as i remember, this thing doesn't only happens on cm11 but also with the previous cm10 or cm10.1. Someone asked about it and was answered (i can't remember who exactly, either @Madridii, @HURSTky @honeyx etc.) that it was normal. I think it's something about battery optimization or whattf

Prubably it was me Yes this is normal as on reboot many things are getting reset (whiped) so the ROM is loosing the exact information about the procentage and calculates it by looking at the battery voltage. This calculation is some kind of guessing and can´t be accurate. You will get more accurate readings after a while or by fully charging the battery.

i tried different htc 10 i think htc 10 have too much sensitive
so what can i do ? please help ...
similar problem here. it's not the keyboard, there are touch problems elsewhere. editing is often painful as the cursor will change places mid repeated backspacing, destroying good text.
edges of screen are sensitive to the hand.
hope we can get a resolution!

My WiFi and calls work. The camera was glitchy but if that bothers you, remove it with a system app uninstaller and replace it with one you prefer. I also did not care for lawnchair or trebuchet launcher so I replaced them with pixel launcher(also here on XDA).
I have not noticed any other bugs so far in the past 24 hours I've been using the ROM. Make sure you flash all the zips, there are a couple of zips with the ROM that fix things. Also take a moment to give the developer a thank you, its a fully functional oreo on s6 edge +!
Thanks for reading, enjoy the upgrade to Oreo
Zenlte moddified lineage 15.1/nexusOS for s6e+ done by myself. I did some stuff to get the camera going a bit better. Lower res to 1080p. The full thread is in the s6e+ t mobile forum under android development the original rom and kernel are in the link above at the top.

I fixed the battery life with kernel auditor and replaced the video/camera with s different one. Then I removed the init.d and reinstalled it to get proper access, also used a different super user then the one provided. I've got xposed running with busybox and amplify. I'm not a dev but I am in college studying computer programming. My take on this ROM is if you know your way around your droid well and can invest some time any bug in it is fixable. The battery could be improved more by using a different kernel or editing the one contained in this ROM to add more governor settings and tweeks. I reached out to the ROM developer on that subject, with any luck they will look into it.

Mine stutters a bit but not too bad. I removed the camera and then flashed the s6 edge camera instead of the s6 and it improved a fair bit. Luckily I do not use Bluetooth audio so in my case only recording videos has a bug still and its not a deal breaker as I walk around with my s6 e+ as my surfing and calls device and my s7 is my music and gaming device. So for me I just record with s7 if I need video while I try to fix it. Once I figure it out I will share the details.

Error logs for camera.
Logs
I'm not an expert but this seems to be a Java runtime error. I have to really get down to the core and look now. The only time I encounter an error with parsing an int is when the syntax is wrong, like trying to parse an invalid type to an int. I'm starting to believe I'm going to need to remove all traces of the camera from the droid 100% and try flashing zips from different models until it works. Or sit down with eclipse and go through line by line and solve the exceptions Java is throwing.

I got HD working for photos and videos but now the video frame freezes like its a photo and only audio records. Argh
OK I got it. If you edit the settings in the native app and drop video recording from 4k to 1080 it improves a lot. And open camera from the play store looks / sounds a bit better for video. I can now record videos in HD and its not choppy or laggy. VoIP is also working. Besides the Bluetooth issue that you mentioned which I can not test to troubleshoot I don't know of any remaining issues. Have you tried removing Bluetooth drives and files reinstalling it?

So the pre installed camera works on and off due to runtime errors and conflicts stemming from Exynos camera3. The files are named camera 2 but logcat shows camera 3. I'm hearing camera 2 API is not fully supported on the s6 devices. This could be the issue. However if I am correct that sucks. Because I can not just swap API. I would have to talk to the dev and he or I would have to reduild the ROM using media recorder API if that's possible in Oreo. I assume it would still work despite being depreciated by Google and it's java.
