Sprint LG LS980 (OptimusG2) stuck in download mode or stock recovery

Hi all. I'm not a novice when it comes to rooting and flashing but I'm stuck on this one. A friend of mine tried to install CM11 on this phone, the LS980 and somehow really jacked it up. It's stuck in a bootloop, but I can get into download mode and stock recovery. All data has been wiped. I have tried using the LGFlash tool to install the stock tot and dll but it fails. It fails because the the tool says the file is the wrong model for the phone. Here's the thing, its not. But somehow the phone now thinks its a D802 instead of an LS980. (This happened during the CM11 attempt somehow) The flash tool fails every time. I even tried the D802 files and it started to flash but failed about a 1/4 of the way through. That confirms that the phone definitely thinks its a D802, weird. When I hook it up to the LG Support tool, it tells me the phone is a testmodel!
Needless to day I've tried everything I know how. ADB sideloads, different recoveries, and I've researched for hours on end. I have hope that there's still a solution. I would be golden if I could get a recovery on it, either TWRP or CWM. Any help is appreciated.
have the same problem. simply cant recover the recovery.
My recovery for e988 g pro in lg g2. I try everything for fix the recovery but cant help it. Is there any way to re build recovery?

[Q] Stuck in bootloop, can't flash using LG flashtools...help?

So, i scoured the forums, searched for my error code and nothing...
I have a new E980 that I rooted, installed CWM on and left the stock ROM. Earlier today, I get a notification for an OTA update.
I figured I didn't desperately need root, so I unrooted through SuperSU, and said to hell with it, and accepted the update.
Phone reboots into CWM and is now only booting into it over and over.
I looked up how to recover from it, and I've been trying to flash it using LG Flashtool ver 1.5 and everything goes fine until I actually plug the phone in with download mode on and LG FT in the "Ready!" state. LG FT then starts to flash it, goes to 3%, immediately to 100% and then fails after 5 seconds. Error code F0000002. I tried everything over and over again and I get nothing.
I have my COM port set to 41 and LG Flashtool set up properly according to the tutorials.
Any ideas?
I had to use the LG R&D test tool to flash the panama rom then root & install CWM. With freegee and then restore my stock.E980 AT&T backup. Kept getting a "Previous loadfailed" error with LG flash tool.

[SOLVED] G3 boot looping after running a repair (out of options)

Hey there all.
I was going to upgrade to the OTA Lollipop update to give it a test but something went wrong.
I'm running a Vodafone Australia model D855 (v10e if I recall).
Firstly I downloaded and started the install of the OTA update. Upon restarting, the phone would boot into TWRP instantly. No big deal. Decided to flash CloudyG3 instead of stock as I couldn't be bothered trying to fix the OTA update. So I did a full wipe, flashed the baseband and then flashed the ROM. Reboot and it's still going straight to TWRP. So I ran the fix for it that clears the FOTA and Misc folders but even that didn't fix it.
At this stage I decided to use PC Suite to try repairing the phone back to KitKat and start again. Upon running a repair the phone would start some sort of flashing even though PC Suite wasn't detecting anything. Now it won't even boot to recovery, just keeps looping the LG logo.
I've tried installing a .TOT fix (using the European v10e .TOT dated July 8th 2014 AND the Hong Kong v10b .TOT dated July 1st 2014) but that fails showing DOWNLOAD FAIL (Model is different, check phone model or DLL). I'm also using the LGD855_20140526_LGFLASHv160 DLL file.
The other thing I tried was a .kdz fix but it kept showing an error "No connection to server" and clicking ok would close it. The phone would then get stuck at 18% flashing.
Any help here would be appreciated. I'm currently at a loss as to how to fix this.
SOLVED: I tried the .kdz fix again but instead of clicking "OK" when the "No connection to server" message came up I just let it go. I checked the background window and the flash was still going through. I watched the phone and it went through all the way eventually. A few reboots later it's back to the home screen and I'm ready to properly flash a Lollipop ROM.

Error on kdz flash on 7.0 GPad: "Factory Reset Status 2"

So my ATT GPad 7.0 v410 was on CM12 for a while, decided to flash clean stock before handing it to my gf.
I flashed the kdz from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-pad-10/general/kdz-lg-g-pad-7-0-v410-t3224867
and flashed it using LG FlashTool 2014 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-pad-10/general/tutorial-lg-gpad-v410-5-1-to-4-4-t3232150
The flash went without errors and my tablet booted smoothly into home screen. After a while I rebooted it, at which point the shutdown boot-animation froze with blue circle.
I forced to a reboot using power buton, which lead to a "Mini OS" animation followed by blue screen with the message "Factory Reset Status 2".
These are the things I've already tried:
I've re-flashed it several time since, leading to same error.
I forced a data wipe right after firmware flash as well as first boot
Tried splitting kdz into dz and dll, but got "Failed load" error on the tool
Never knew flashing firmware could be this complicated lol.
Any advice/help is really appreciated.
Ok this was weird, I was using the SD card as internal extended SD in CM12.
I removed it to format it thinking I would use it somewhere else and I tried flashing the kdz one last time and it worked! For some reason the SD card was causing the issue after the first boot.
Hope this helps someone.

[HELP] Can boot into download mode/hard reset, but not ROM.

To preface, I can boot into download mode and access hard reset but cannot boot into the ROM as it just shows the "Broken Android" symbol
I've been trying a lot of steps.... So many guides... To fix my phone. I've chalked it up to an issue with my IMEI/ESF being corrupted as LG Flash Tool shows it as NULL" and fails after 3 seconds consistently. LG UP also fails at 6% spitting out generic errors. I've even tried LGMobile Support Tool and it downloaded the correct firmware but failed to apply it at 2% consistently.
I'm assuming this has to do with my ESF being corrupted. I've been looking up guides on how to "fix" it but keep coming up short as ALL of them require a back up or at least being able to boot into a ROM. However, no ROM will flash. The bootloader is locked and the device has no root options. At this point I'm drawing a blank. I've been going at this for 11 hours straight (no joke, been sitting here for 11 hours searching the forums for different fixes because I know how people feel about the same thing popping up repeatedly.
What caused this issue was trying to roll back the firmware to an earlier version using LGUP so I could unlock the bootloader. I've only been attempting with stock roms (both KDZ and TOT)
Any help would be appreciated.
The phone is still detected in DLMode and all the programs can find it and know it's a D852 but just wont take any firmware.
