Little Unboxing & Software preview:
New information about this device
UHANS new arrival joins the stylish crowd
This model is the first one in the “S” series. “S”, coming from the last letter of “UHANS”, stands for stylish and sleek.
Unlike UHANS U100 and U200, which were designed to cater for the unique tastes, S1 is to fit in with your eyes and pockets. It’s a beauty outside and monster inside.
Check out the specs:
Processor: MT6753
Memory: 3GB RAM
Camera: 5MP + 13MP
OS:Freeme OS based on Android 6.0
Multi-functional Fingerprint sensor
At only 6.8mm thick(4.9mm at the thinnest), S1 is wrapped with double curved glass and metal frame, with 1.3mm slim bezels around the 5-inch display.
What we want is for S1 to be the most affordable MT6753 device with decent specs. The price is gonna be very competitive.
It seems the fingerprint scanner will have additional features:
UHANS S1 to feature a Fingerprint Sensor that Can control Music and Video
While the world gets impressed by the touch ID of iPhone 6s, admiring its fast speed of the sensor, UHANS also employs crystal glass for the fingerprint sensor to UHANS S1.
Compared to metal fingerprint sensor, the sensitivity of the crystal one that UHANS uses is higher, which enables the detection to be faster and less time-wasting. As fast as it can be, you can use only 0.4 seconds to unlock your phone. What’s more, not just 1 or 2 sets of fingers can be detected, but 5 sets. Left hand or right hand? Whatever.
Apart from the locking and unlocking, the fingerprint sensor of UHANS S1 can do more magic than you think. You can use it to take photos, slide home pages as well as play or stop videos and music, with just a slight press or slide of your finger.
We hope to see S1 available soon, preorder will end in few days..

I have just read that the S1 will have a PDAF supported Rear Camera. Pretty interesting.
Next week we should be able to provide you more news about it.
UHANS S1 release has been delayed, software is still under debugging phase.
Unboxing by UHANS
Take a look at this nice unboxing made directly by UHANS, pretty funny but also interesting.
It seems pretty interesting, i'm pretty curious to try it.

Official Unboxing: http://www.uhans.cc/uhans-s1-unboxing/
Seems like the end of the presale has been pushed back to May 5th.
http://www.uhans.cc/
It is almost official, the launch date of S1 is delayed and will be due on May 25th. Tomorrow they'll make an official announcement about it.
UHANS will offer a 2-years warranty for Global Users and also offer a direct customer support via their official pre-installed app (Service Center)
This is probably the first time that i see a company in direct contact with customers, pretty good.
UHANS has finally released the official release video of the device.
It doesn't say anything else that hasn't been already said with previous announcements, but it provides a 360 degrees view of the device.
Official Unboxing & Hands-On Video made by UHANS
It will be officially shipped starting from next week.
Finally it is on Stock, and also on sale. (on some online shops the pre-sale period ends on the 6th of June, but UHANS is providing the device to retailers)
The official retail price is $149.99 while $169.99 includes an extra Silicone Case and a Screen Protector, so the last one is a bundle.
If you want to know everything about the device, just follow this official device link: http://www.uhans.cc/product/s1-black/

Stock eMAX ROM can be found on Needrom.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
UMI eMAX is only 7.9mm thick, the claimed battery capacity is over 4000mAh.
UMi have made a name for themselves with the UMI Zero. After that UMI created a fantastic PC tool called Rootjoy to support custom ROMs.
While we are still wondering what would be the next, UMI just hit us with their Hammer. The toughest cookie UMI Hammer smartphone.
However, if anyone had been looking at images of the Hong Kong trade fairs that just finished, you might have seen images of a new UMI phone called eMAX.
After communicated with UMI, UMI eMAX is designed with a 7.9mm thickness body with over 4000mAh capacity battery.
This mean for a heavy smartphone user, the phone still can last 2-3 days long. If the eMAX specs are going to be real, then it would be the most outstanding smart phone, with similar specs as phones which only has 3000mAh battery.
Currently there are no infos if the UMI eMAX also will support Rootjoy and custom ROMs, but let's hope so!

UMI eMAX is also a power bank! (can also be used for iPhone 6).
As we know, UMi are preparing to launch a new smartphone named the UMI eMAX.
eMAX represent “Maximum Energy” and comes with over 3780 mAh battery capacity, so for heavy users it can last 2-3 days.
UMI eMAX is not just a smartphone where you can make calls, but also a power bank.
So you can use your it to help charge your friend’s iPhone 6, 2 times!
UMI says that they have a surprising offer about UMI eMAX on May 25th, no more info are out, so we just have to wait and see.
Great device.

I have 1.3GB RAM free still on mine, you can check it here http://goo.gl/TEucvU - but it really depends on how many apps you have installed and how many that run in the background. The more apps, the more RAM will be used. And the touch buttons have no backlight. OTG is supported, NFC is not, but it has Hotknot (an alternative to NFC).
Can you see them well in dark?

So can you see the buttons well in the dark? How about the front and back camera quality? Are they good? like is the back camera really 13mpx and front camera 5mpx?

I answered you that the buttons have no light, so you can of course not see them in the dark then. (but for me it is no problem, I know pretty fast where the buttons are located, I need no light for that.) For camera samples, check the link in post #1.

This phone is same like TCL 3N , same size, CPU, RAM, screen, weight.
But I think this phone not use same camera like TCL 3N, TCL use IMX214.

Yes, the eMax is a sibling from the TCL M2U /Alcatel Flash Plus. Alcatel is a TCL Brand.
The differences are:
Screen: eMax has a Full HD screen, TCL has only a HD resolution
CPU: eMax 6572 with 1.7 Ghz max CPU, TCL uses the 6572M with max 1.5 Ghz
Camera: The TCL M2U has a IMX214 Sony sensor. See the official TCL homepage
I'am not sure if the Alcatel Flash Plus uses this sensor also. The specs are the same.
The eMax has a Omnivision sensor.
Modem: TCL supports different LTE Bands.
I think this are good news. TCL/Alcatel is a well respected brand in Asia, with good engineering and build quality.
The Alcatel Flash Plus is available since May.
Hi!
I'm interested in this phone UMI Emax but despite I've read all official and nonofficial information and I've watched all available video reviews, I couldn't understand what kind of sensors are used in both cameras. OK, Omnivision but could you be more specific? Is it OV13850 or what?
While watching s7yler's camera samples in his blog I saw very low resolution of the taken pictures - 2048 x 1536. Is this the original resolution of the pictures? Shouldn't be something like 4128 x 3096?

It is because I uploaded them to Google Plus photos, Google resizes them, but that doesn't make them look worse. The original pictures are of course in full resolution.
I presumed it could be the reason but wasn't sure. Thanks!
Still remains the question with the sensors. Anyone?
it would be great to have it at $109..
I contacted yesterday seller from UMI, and told me UMI EMAX use OV8858 camera
Umi emax have Gorilla Glas or not ?
i'm very suspicious about some of the hardware... normally the brands proudly write down extras like OGS, Gorilla Glass, Sony IXM Sensor or such things. Umi is pretty quiet about exactly those with the emax. No exact sensor, no "special made" glass.
i'll stay suspicious until further infos pop up...

It doesn't really matter what the specs says on paper, it is how it performs in real life. If you like the sample pictures I made (for me the pictures are more than good, I have tested a lot phones with a lot worse camera), then you should just forget about what sensor it has. We saw Ulefone advertise big for the Sony IMX sensor, but the pictures do not look that great. So for me they can write whatever sensor they want to, in the end it depends on how the pictures really look like. The same with the Gorilla Glass, many China companies write their phones uses Gorilla Glass, but I have had some in the hand where the glass just still felt like ordinary glass, so I wasn't really sure about it.
so, would you say the umi emax is one of the better 5,5" MTK6752 phones out there? btw, did you get my pn?
The Meizu MX5 may not have been the best phone of the year, but the device impressed with the lovely camera and fairly good performance.

Meizu today unveiled the YunOS-powered Blue Charm Metal smartphone, which essentially looks like a Meizu MX5 on a budget. What’s interesting are the price tags for the 16GB and 32GB versions of this phone at 1099 Yuan ($173) and 1,299 Yuan ($205).
Specifications are very similar to the Meizu MX5, as mentioned. The screen on top is the same 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080p on paper, but it seems like there’s no AMOLED like the MX5 but an LTPS panel with 2.5D curved glass on top.
Moving on, the Blue Charm Metal is powered by the same MediaTek MT6795 Helio X10 as the Meizu MX5, but with a 2.0GHz clock as opposed to the 2.2GHz of the MX5. With that, the Blue Charm Metal gets 2GB of RAM and either 16 or 32GB of ROM, expandable via microSD.
There’s no laser focus this time round, but PDAF instead (something you also see on the Redmi Note 2) for the 13 mega-pixel rear camera. On the front, the Blue Charm Metal will have a 5 mega-pixel sensor.
If you thought the phone spells decent value for money already, there’s more: the Blue Charm Metal will come with mTouch 2.1, aka what Meizu call a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button. Also noteworthy is the fact that this $173 phone will have a 3140mAh battery of non-removable nature.
On paper, the Meizu Blue Charm Metal looks like a very tough competitor to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2… which falls second to this phone in a couple of departments. Don’t you think?

This seems really intriguing. It's shown up on some of the stores for presale now... They're selling the 16gb version outside of China for a little bit more than the prices originally mentioned (which is what one would expect - the online stores always charge a bit of a premium over the Chinese market prices when selling outside of China). GeekBuying is the first place I saw it.
Seems like a pretty decent phone, though... The build quality of the M2 note was fantastic, and the styling was beautiful. It was just crippled by the MT6753 processor inside. So seeing an X10 processor in the same kind of styling? That's VERY interesting.

First & Early Leak
UHANS S2 differs from S1 with Three Color Variants
Like what has been suggested with the first image of UHANS S2 chassis (article)
it will be accounting for differing taste, which means that it won’t have a rather similar look as S1. A very apparent point is that the S2 will come with three different color variants.
Unlike the S1 with 2.5D glass back panel, UHANS S2 comes with a metal body (95% metal/body ratio). No sharp angles are here. Even the corners of the camera and fingerprint sensor have also been delicately dealt with curves, making sure of the whole smoothness.
Except from Space Gray, two more colors as Champagne Gold and Rose Gold will be applied to S2. Sharp Colors with a soft grip.

UHANS has renamed its new device "S2" as "Balance". Why?
UHANS Balance isn't something standard from UHANS product lineups, namely U series, H series, A series, N series or S series, each coming with different specs, features, designs and price.
This is their official naming method:
U for Unique
U series will stick to high-end specs and stunning nobility, highlighting your unique tastes that haven’t been met in the market.
H for Huge
H series features massive battery capacity, providing remarkably longer standby time than usual.
A for Affordable
A series will be budget-friendly devices packed with decent specs.
N for New
Keeping pace with the latest technology, UHANS aims to make this N series flagship smartphones.
S for Stylish
Stay fashionable, young and stylish, UHANS S series do not just fit your eyes.
Click to collapse
As the name suggests, the new arrival is to reach a balance between design, overall performance, battery endurance, operational smoothness and price. It is kind of an hybrid of both A and S series.
Let's see if it will be something balanced for real then.
New Specs Leaked
MT6753 CPU, 5.5 inches display, 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM, 2850 mAh battery capacity and fast charging technology.
Fingerprint Sensor won't be included anymore, in order to reduce its price.
Official Price: $109.99 (retailers may apply different price though)
Nice. This is a good price for the specs
UHANS Balance Gets A Well Balanced Screen-to-Body Ratio
As mentioned earlier, UHANS Balance will be a mixture of design, performance, endurance, smoothness and price (my previous post explains it).
Boasting a neat design, it will have a 5.5-inch display with high screen-to-body ratio.
Official Data regarding its size. The Length of Balance is 149.6mm, while the width is 75.8mm. The proportion of the display is 121.9mm*69.0mm, which is 75% of the whole body while the ratio for iphone 6s plus is only 67.9% and 74% for Google Nexus 6P.
What does it mean? That it will have thin bezels
I know, screen-to-body ratio doesn’t mean anything, but it’s like women’s BWH. With proper proportion, it makes a balanced figure.
New Chassis Gallery has been uploaded.
Link: http://imgur.com/a/9BaT5
I don't know why, but there is still the fingerprint sensor....maybe this is the old revision or they choose to include it as originally decided? That's a bit strange.
UPDATE: UHANS confirmed me that they made a mistake, this chassis is the old revision with the fingerprint hole. Anyway, it should be the same, just without that hole.
Guys the UHANS Balance won't be released anymore so...this thread will be closed.

Leaked News:
LEAGOO launches the world's first non-breakpoint all-metal frame smartphone.
There have been rumors about LEAGOO’s new phone which is known as M5 starting mass production since last month. Recently, a leaked picture of LEAGOO’s new phone is highly suspected as M5, showing some exciting details of this new product.
From the first glimpse of M5, the most eye-catching feature is its non-breakpoint metal frame. No articulation point has been seen in its “all-metal” frame, which gives it a smooth touch feeling. The volume buttons and the power button are all located on the right side of the device, while the USB port is situated at the bottom. This should mean that the speakers are located on the back of the phone. M5 has a slim body and is perfectly appropriate to be used by one hand. Without any physical button on the front, the whole look of M5 is simple and pleasing. Besides, the metallic unibody structure gives it a sense of fashion. In all, M5 has an expressive figure among those big-size Smartphones.
CPU: Unknown Yet
RAM: Unknown Yet
Price: Unknown Yet
Time to market: Unknown Yet
We have no idea about the CPU inside, but it should be an entry level mid-ranger. While we don’t see it in the picture, at the back, the phone is also said to come with a fingerprint sensor, which has become a standard feature among LEAGOO smartphones recently. The price is said to be reasonable, but we have no official figures as of now. Stay tuned for more details in the coming days.
LEAGOO M5, the World’s First Nano “All-metal” Closed Loop Frame Smartphone.
After a long wait, LEAGOO has finally rolled out one of the coolest and most durable Smartphone. What do we can expect? Reasonable price, implicit toughness or just an amazing hardware configuration?
The M5 is declared to be so solid and shockproof that you absolutely no need to worry about the quality problem. If you take a regular Smartphone and throw it carelessly on the floor, there's a high chance of the device sustaining some kind of damage. It might crack, bend or totally stop working if its circuitry gets affected by the impact. M5 is declared to be totally different. It doesn’t mind getting crushed, or dropped by accident as it is built with durability in mind. (a pseudo-Rugged device?)
One of the most interesting feature of the M5 is the world's first nano “All-metal” closed loop frame design. LEAGOO seems to have finally solved an engineering challenge after days of testing and focus on a smooth and delicate “All-metal” frame body which encompasses a tougher structure and delivers an amazing hand feeling.
“All-metal” is not the only surprise here because the M5 features also a 0.19 seconds fingerprint function (the world's first MT6580 device with a fingerprint sensor), declared to be fast, accurate, secure and easy to use. (Smart Features are probably there)
It features a 5.0 inches HD display with 2.5D Bulletproof Glass, 8MP rear camera with flash led, 4P lens and F2.0 aperture that helps you get clear images and ensures that every shot is sharp and crisp.
Everything supported by 2GB RAM, 16GB of built-in storage plus expandable storage up to 128GB. Also, in order to improve music quality, the M5 uses the Awinic K7 Amplifier that provides dynamic sound performance. The loudspeaker's performance is declared to reach Hi-Fi levels.
As regards the battery life, the M5 packs a 2300 mAh li-polymer battery that should be able to handle at least one day of usage (MT6580 isn't a power hungry CPU). Just like the UHANS S1, it will feature the Freeme OS 6.0 (Based on Android 6.0), probably the second device ever released with this OS.
Powered by the a Quad-Core processor, the M5 is declared to deliver an astonishing battery life which can allow you to handle multiple tasks for a long time and without any interruption.
These are just the tiny part of the M5, more will come soon.

New Video from LEAGOO. Rugged Test!
Sincerely it shocked me That's the perfect example of slim, but resistant, device.
Now...i would like to see a drop test, so that we can officially declare it as the world's first rugged device, with a non-rugged look.
I didn't even know it at the time, but I bought into GearBest's flash sale of this phone this morning. So I'm pretty stoked about it. Just anxious for a release date and my payment confirmation... :|

It is definitely not weird. The original test video was made by Leagoo, so it is obviously fake (or just call it marketing).
However, the device can actually survive a car! That's surprising.
And 2GB RAM for 60€? How can it be better?

I know, but i still can't believe that they faked the video. OUKITEL released many videos where they crashed their devices just like LEAGOO did with the last one, but they were real.
I will definitely ask LEAGOO more info about the Screen Glass.

In leagoo's video where they hammer the nails, the board looks like 3/4 inch solid board, but if you look closely I think its actually hollow board.

Just a doubt, i am not a Glass Expert but i think this isn't something non-sense. In the Valendar's Video we can see that he firstly scratched the glass, it definitely reduces its toughness...BUT, it is strange that it got scratched so easily.
According to leaks specifications will include:

Uhans U300n visual concept
Uhans U300 concept pre-view.
Mainstream smartphones on the market can be divided into 2 categories:
1. Sleek phones like iphone, Samsung, Huawei, LG, Nexus...
2. Rugged phones and luxurious phones (for the minority)
Unlike any of them, UHANS U300 comes in between.
It is a combination of style, sturdiness and luxury.
Uhans U300 is style and personality
Uhans have another U series phone on the way named the U300.
All the video says is a new phone, the U300, is in the works and that the phone is coming soon. It also gives us an idea of what the phone is going to look like (well its shape at least).
So that’s it! But we’ve take a look around the web to see if we can uncover other details and believe we’ve found the full specs for the phones.
According to leaks specifications will include a 5-inch FHD display, quad-core 1.3Ghz chipset, 2GB RA, 16GB internal memory and a 3000mAh battery.
The body will feature a similar “stylish’ design and likely to be finished in a “leather” material.
UHANS U300 Makes the Best or Nothing
The best or nothing, which is a message that Mercedes-Benz has been trying to convey through its products from tradition to innovation for over a hundred years. Now, this concept will be put into the UHANS U300.
As a member of “U” lineup, U300 has got a similar but leapfrogged design compared to U100 and U200. It is nothing like iPhone, Samsung phones, or other smartphones on the market. It will be unique, luxurious and breathtaking.
To make a perfect couple with the design, the specifications will also be discerning enough to make U300 a luxury. It is the best in UHANS’s history. It will feature 64-bit MediaTek MT6750 processor, kitted out with 4GB RAM and 32GB ROM. It will come with a 5.5-inch FHD display and 4750 mAh battery. Check the video and you can get more details
According to leaks specifications will include:
* 5.5 inch FHD display,
* MT6750,
* 4GB RAM, 32GB ROM
* Huge 4750mAh battery.
* IP65
* Titanium alloy
The body will feature a stylish design and likely to be finished in a top Italian leather material.
Uhans with a design made by former Mercedes-Benz designer they believe it will be able to deliver sort of a Vertu-style design but more innovative.
UHANS U300 is a multitasking master
The year of 2016 has witnessed a huge number of Android smatphones. While the competition gets more and more fierce, UHANS may have released the best smartphone with 4GB RAM.
At first glance, the U300 is a rather attractive handset with a Mercedes-Benz style. The phone is made out of Benz’s titanium alloy and top Italian leather that's available in black. The craftsmanship being touted here certainly is impressive even though it may not be the most unique-looking device around.
The front of the UHANS U300 boasts a 5.5-inch FHD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The device is powered by the MediaTek MT6750 chipset. Along with that, there’s 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The device also supports microSD cards of up to 64GB. The memory of U300 is just so enough for normal use. But why is it the best? The video will unveil how manageable the U300 is with multiple Apps.

UHANS U300 Drop Test
Together with a few soda cans, the UHANS U300 has been dropped from a height of about 30 meters. Such scenario looks quite exciting with the drinks splashing all around.

Display test: UHANS U300 V.S. Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge
UHANS U300 is a phone that stands apart from the traditional phones like iPhone and rugged phones with an innovative Mercedes-Benz design. And it is the first phone that uses FHD display in the UHANS history.
The U300’s 5.5-inch FHD display manages to deliver rich and sharp images, even though it's not as pixel dense as others on the market. The colors are actually nicely saturated. Viewing angles are generous too. If you don’t like the default settings, you can adjust them on Miravision. Contrast, saturation, brightness, sharpness and color temperature can all be customized.
This is a video showing the visual effect of both U300 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

I won't say anything about this video, it talks by itself.

Just like a Mercedes-Benz Advert, this is awesome.
Uhans is pushing a lot on his new U300. Today they released this article:
It is not a superhero, but definitely a knight
Long long time ago, there were legends of knights who fought for honor. Though they are gone now*and*replaced by the magical superheroes created by the famous Marvel and DC, the faith of knights shines on still.
Armed with noble spirit, in the midst of blood and carnage, they remained brave, humble, compassionate, honest, loyal and restlessly fought for honor and justice. So does UHANS U300.
It puts itself in the fight among traditional smartphones and rugged phones, using a innovative chic design to differentiate from them, regardless of what the world would say about it. Not every phone can do such Mercedes-Benz design like U300. All the streamlines, titanium alloy and clous de Paris incarnate the style of simplicity in an understated way , which*differentiates*itself from the*traditional*luxury smartphones from Vertu, Hanmac. That's act of self-awareness, rebellion of rule-breaker, rise of innovation. You deserve a*marvelous*and adventurous smartphone that objects to the ordinary.

The chivalry lives more than that on the outside. The compact design as well as the IP65 allow the body to resist any water splash and dust in daily life, as tough as an armored knight. Its consists of the MediaTek MT6750, 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage, tough Gorilla Glass 4, 5.5-inch FHD display and a huge 4750mAh battery. All these are the invisible armor, sword and shield that define the chivalry of U300 in a strong and pleasantly noble way. Though the adventure ahead may be dark, it will still shine in glory.http://www.uhans.cc/product/U300
It is the fight for honor and loyalty to the values of life in this world. The chivalry never dies.
P. S. Alberto96: YouTube link seems to be bad, i can't open it with xda app or tapatalk
@megthebest Working just fine here.
I do have the u300 for reviewing, so if you have questions: just drop me a line here.

I got it too, so ask us everything you need to.
got it today.
my rom is Uhans U300 Version: DK9FA2FWTAG.HSA.UHANS.F.SA.1118.V3.01 – full_pri6750_66t_m-user 6.0 MRA58K and never fing OT.
I Heard about new rom 3.02 22nd of december.. strange that i don't have any OTA..
Just found malware from famous adups.fota :
Camera quality is not good enough (it's Panasonic MN34153).
Speaker quality is really good, earpiece volume and quality is not comparabile to the speaker one (and volume is also lowest than expected).
Like i have seen in Bluboo Maya Max, also second slot seems to have 3G capability (not common on dual sim device, but seems to be common for MT6750 powered devices)
Facing major issues regarding connectivity. Both slots are not working very well with GSM/LTE, most of the times they do not work at all. Build quality is also not that good. Seems to have a faulty device
Here is the firmware: http://www.needrom.com/download/uhans-u300/
Unfortunately the 3.02 is not available there.
Mine has: DK9FA2FWTAG.HSA.UHANS.HB.F.SA.1222.3.02
@megthebest
What scanner are you using? Do you have LTE or 3G?

No issue on the sim slot, 3g/4g seems to work correctly on my device. Build quality is perfect in some areas and poor in others (upper frame shows irregular plastic mould, sim tray is not so stable and tightned).
Malwarebytes is the scanner i used.
I'm testing battery that is really impressive.

Same probs with build quality here, but the probs with sim-slot is a no go. Will try to dwongrade firmware and see if that is the problem. Battery is working very good, but it is only 4.650 mAh.

Well you are blaming about build quality, I got a completely scratched (noticeable damage here and there) review unit so...something wrong is happening there.
Mine has also a pre-applied glass screen protector (scratched too :facepalm).
If you don't believe me, check this photo. The screw is stuck outside the chassis and the chassis itself is full of scratches. This kind of damage was already here, not caused by me.
