Q-mobile noir a-8 rooting fully tested

After two days of search i came across a method to successfull root Q mobile NOIR A8
This mobile phone has similar specs to STAR N9770 DUAL CORE MT6577 and Lenovo A789 Chinese smart phones
NOIR A-8 has following specs
MT6577
MAUI.11AMD.W12.22.SP.V1.2012/07/31 16:51
KERNEL VER 3.0.13 [email protected] gcc version 4.4.3
sw ver. alps.ics2.6577.sp.v1
custom build verno 1347877272

1.) Download attached file.
2.) Extract it using 7zip

why on earth u want jelly belly Rom,,u ve ICS its orignal firmware,,plus Q mobile vent yet given u the driver,i wonder if they ll even give this Rom on internet..

Please remove NQ Mobile Security & Antivirus after rooting,,your mobile will even work faster..
You may know which system apps are safe to remove
Do not fiddle with system files as we are still waiting for official Rom for A8
So don't take risks else you will ve to contact service provider afterwards.
Play safe guys...This mobile is too good..

Need Help with Qmobile Noir A8
I recently bought a Noir A8 and am pretty happy with what I did. This is an amazing phone and easily beats the Samsung Galaxy Nexus or at times, the SII. Not being very well versed with rooting and stuff, I downloaded the root software and successfully rooted the A8. Accidently I deleted the QAPPS icon and all the apps in it i.e. Facebook, Maps, Latitude and Local disappeared. Now everytime I download the FB app, it can be seen nowhere and to use Maps, I have to search for the app. This is making it tough for me so I needed valuable advice from the gurus out here. Any and all help would be highly appreciated.

Agreed dear, but I've seen on the brochure which says its upgradeable. ICS and Qmobile really rocks but if it really upgrades then why not move a step further with this beauty beast :fingers-crossed:

trick just download new launcher,Nova prime is the best with SAMSUNG GALAXY S3 theme ,and you ll see all ur hidden apps
In-fact try editing the launcher setting...Q launcher has Q apps as its folder,and all apps were draged in it..so by just removing Q apps folder,,al apps are there but not showing,,just use new launcher and try to edit this one too..
what i did wrong was i accidently removed original launcher and then cldnt install it back...just leave old launcher

Q mobile has its recovery...after turning off the mobile,,press volume up key n hold,,now press power button to enter into recovery...but here u can access your sd card and update via update.zip files...but it wont update other zip files

Fraud in ROM
hi, there have been a huge fraud in the rom. when i rooted the phone and installed titanium pro it shows the rom is 1022 mb ??? where as it says on the box that it is 4gb. whats up with that ? and have you tried overclocking it ? i am using holo launcher and it lags a bit. can you help me out.. m glad to see some pakistani brains in XDA

theres no fraud... 1GB is for fone use for apps n stuffs.. almost 2GB is like extended partition...n rest 1GB is consumed by rom i guess.. mybe im lil bit mistaken...so correct me if im wrong

Is anyone facing error 920 while installing apps from
play store. Even opera doesn't work properly
when using WiFi on cm11...
And I have noticed that this happens only when using WiFi... Works fine when using data connection
I faced this problem with alpha 1 as well..
I have tried clearing data and cache of play store... Wiped /cache and dalvik cache from cwm, setting up static IP instead of dhcp... But the problem won't go away.
It seems to be WiFi related problem rather than of a specific app..
Any help would be appreciated

I recommend you to do a clean flash of the rom.... Follow these steps:
1.Backup Your Data
2.Wipe /system,/cache,/data from CWM
3.Flash Rom
4.Flash Gapps

OK here s my qstn
Think I installed cm11 alpha 2, and after some days they release say alpha 3 or beta
At that time should not again reflash entire ROM?

Just mount system and flash .. You should be good with it.

Simple Q from a total noob, cause before I start to climb the learning curve for CyanogenMod installing, I want to make sure not to waste my time.
My phone sais:
Bootloader unlock allowed: No
Should I give up already, or there's a remedy for this problem?

No remedy for it... You cant able to flash any custom rom..

Just a curious question. What is the version of firmware you're currently use?
Older firmware of C1905 have a bug that change bootloader unlock status every restart.

The latest one officially available: 15.1.C.2.8
So you are telling me that if I downgrade to some older version (which one?) I only have to restart several times until I get a permission?

No. What I mean is if you still use older version of firmware, it might be just a bug. But because you are using newest firmware, it seems it's not a bug but the bootloader really not unlockable.

As far as I know there are:

Good Rom - But some issues (may be I'm alone)
Hey Dudes,
Sony Xperia M C1905
- Bootloader unlocked
- Rooted
- CWM installed
- CM11 Alpha 2 installed + configured
1. - I had one issue with PICO TTS, I navigate to settings Text in Speech - I got an error message PICO TTS closed.
- Seems that I fixed it with reinstalliing PICO - now it works for me. My Alarmclock speaks now with me (Time, Weather).
2. - I use a Alarmclock that can activate the sleepmode (5 more minutes to sleep before I had to step out of my fantastic bed) with shaking my device - with my Defy+ and CM7 it worked very well - with Xperia M and Stock Rom also, but with Alpha2 CM11 no reaction - no sleepmode - damn I had to step out of my bed early any Problems with G Sensors or Accelerometer?
3. Lockscreen - Pin ist set - if I try to unlock the Phone I had to directly fill in the Pin - I used to first wipe then the Pin Screen appears.
Is this new to CM11 ( I had CM7) or is this normal in Android above the old one?

Please have a look into xperia-m/development - the Root Howto works for me.
Once I had a little Problem - that could be solved with the CWM (root fix message) - after that I reinstalled the Superuser app.

Hi to all.
Please, can someone tell, does:
1. Wi-Fi Direct
2. FM Radio (stock Effem or Spirit FM)
3. Photosphere (may be not installed by default: use this)
works in this awesome ROM?
And does navbar landscape issue and visual glitches was fixed in Alpha 2?
Also about missing torch app and tile: here's some example commits that must bring it back.

They usual can't be unlocked – Sony warn about this here.

The bug was fixed on 1.9 if I recall it correctly. So, the firmware before it still has the bug.

flashed cm11 it really smooth & nice but i got a problem i cant restore all backed up data using titanium backup, any solution? please

[GUIDE] [Root] Lenovo A680 (ROW)

Hi all, i've just purchased this new Lenovo A680 (ROW). I live in Malaysia.
And its not all that original. Its probably one of those china made.
So here's how i got it rooted. You can also share how you got it rooted if you have any way other than mine.
Download rooting app -> http://www.mgyun.com/vroot
(Yes its a chinese website and app. Who else to do it better than their own people right ? (No racism intended)
There is an english version to this app, DON'T USE IT. Only the chinese version installs the Kinguser app needed (You'll know why later)
Nope, i didn't download any drivers app.
ON your phone, turn on USB Debugging. (Go to Settings->Developer options)
If you don't see developer options, go to Settings->About Device-> and tap on Build number more than once
Do NOT do this with the phone turned off.
Tested on Windows 7
Device Lenovo A680 (ROW)
Baseband A680.V13.P8, 2013/11/01 09:01
Build number A680_S316_140108
1) Open the app on your computer, let it do its 'LOADING' and stuff
2) Connect USB cable and let windows install the appropriate drivers.
3) Once that's done, the app will show a small green box on the bottom right and it'll say 'connect'
4) Click on that, and let the app do its magic.
5) Once done, the phone will reboot and you can disconnect the USB cable now.
Once the phone reboots, you should see a new app in your phone named ' Kinguser'. This means the phone is now rooted.
Now for those who want to replace this app with SuperSu, go ahead and try installing it from the play store.
Based on my experience, it doesn't update the binaries as its supposed to.
So im using the app installed, and disabled all the other funny apps in the phone using Link2SD app.
So far i haven't come upon a CWM or TWRP for this model.
Customizing the phone is up to you, and if you'd like to do so you might wanna check out Rom Toolbox from the play store by JRummy.
Now many people say VROOT takes your phones IMEI and uses it for their own use.
I personally think that doesn't happen and this app just uses automated adb scripts and whatever.
I use VROOT to root my Samsung Galaxy Ace 3, Lenovo A680, Galaxy Tab 10.1, Galaxy Ace, and so much more.
Let me know if i've made a mistake here.

Thanks. Finally i rooted my phone, many file i've installed on the phone. But there's one problem, i hard reset (format) the phone. After i formatted the phone, it keepss rebooting every 1 minute. Do you know where to find fresh stock rom for this phone? i really need it :'(

Well my friend, as i said earlier, i've never tried this before. And in no right mind would i wanna jeopardize my phone in trying it.
I do suggest tho you try this method using a Windows 7 pc or laptop, and get your drivers downloaded properly.

I found a cwm recovery for lenovo a680 but can someone test this? B520 is better than B6364

Can someone confirmed it?? no freeze?no hang? because in russian forum said that B520 cause freezing...

I'm having issues with getting the wifi to work with B520 kernel with PA ramdisk on PA beta 4 rom. Anyone successful?

I have been using this B520 update now few days, theres no freezing etc. I have just edited build.prop & SQlite modding, deleted most of Huawei apps from launcher to system manager. This update is working good ! (better than: B510,511,512,513,634..) Battery life is awesome, i can use my phone heavily whole day without charging phone.

Only the app of messages doesn't work as usual, in the conversations it doesn't show the avatars

I've received an OTA notification about this B520 rom some hours ago..
I'm downloading (OTA) it right now (i have B125 rom)

Downgrading right now to B125
B520 is faster and smoother than B510, but "big problems" are all there again.
Gmail, stock client mail, stock browser, notification bar are laggy.
Another problem is facebook/messenger chatheads or for example.. i've bought some months ago knock lock pro app for lock my phone with double tap, but can't get it work on B520
.. at least B125 has no bug, it's smooth, fast and battery life is good

I tried to edit build.prop the lines with privacymode and startupmanager in B520 to bring back the fb chatheads. But it won't save my changes. I used ES File Explorer Note Editor. It keeps giving me an error. Anyone have the same problem?

Usualy that means you don't have root permissions.

I have problem to update.
I had TWRP 2.8 installed and then i revert to stock recovery. Now when i want to update vida local update from SD card i get Signature verification error.
What can i do to update from current b512 to new b520?

I've already updated from B512 directly to B706 without and problem, but if you can't, than try first to update to official China Firmware version B508SP02 - in the official info for B706 is said, that it is strongly recommended to update only from this version!

hi I”m new here . how can i update from b125 if under the b 520 update.zip is not the usual update app to install from the sd card but are multiple files? pls help

I m also on b 125 but I m not receiving any update OTA. is this leak update only for a specific country ?

I'm italian and i've received B520 via OTA from B125.
If you want to update manually, it's always the same update.app on the sdcard method. There are a lot of post or thread about how to update, check the INDEX http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2566453 or search in the forum
However.. for me B520 was really bad (not bad as B510, but.. B125 is a lot smoother and faster too)
Third part apps can't open popup windows, missing notification until unlock the phone, background app manager not working, gmail/mail/stock browser laggy, 3g icon stucked on the status bar.. too little and annoying problems for me.
Happy with B125
(P.S. I've downgraded from B520 to B125 simply with update.app method, simply and with no problems :good

Checking Device Status

I have a problem with my Note 4 Sprint with Sac23 Note 5 Ported V2 .1 . By installing this ROM a while or reboot says " Checking Device Status " and is no signal and no longer recognize the SIM Card and no way to return to work. Finish installing another ROM . You know what the problem could be ? I would like to solve it and to use this ROM.

So it registers your device on your account to get signal but you mentioned your not using a sprint account so tha might be your problem. I think this rom is just for sprint users

It works now.
I use Setting / Update System / UNLOCK UICC.
This option, asked me to restart the phone. then cell signal restore and no message Checking Device Status
