Dead phone? Battery? - LG Optimus G (International)

Hello xda members
So my phone battery was bad so i bought a new one, so i disconnected the old one and replaced it with the new one... Then i tried to power the phone on but it didnt turn on at all so i tried to plug it to the wall charger and only got a single red light from the notification led... After all this i tried to put the old battery in and same thing, doesnt power on and only red light.
Anyone knows how to fix this? I really need my phone back to life so i appreciate if someone cant help me.
Thank you in advance!!

Somehow i managed to turn it on with the old battery but now it wont charge anything.
I checked with the app Ampere and it tells me that battery condition is "cold" and that the battery temperature is -30 celsius which is very unlikely.
Just to make things clear im using stock everything, havent change anything to it.

please help! DEAD BA! Any ideas...

I awoke this morning to find my BA (still plugged to the chrager) with no green light. it would not power on. I tired to remove and replace the battery, nothing. i tried soft reset and hard reset. when i put it in the cradle the light is red for a second, then goes off. I cant seem to get it to power on for anything? anyone have an idea?? please help! thank you
im glad no one wasted time responding. apparently the charger i was using drained the batteries. even though i got a red light when i set it in the cradle. after some time all is well. no data or settings were lost.
I think, You have some troubles with power converter in your BA.
It responds for conversion 5vdc->3,7vdc for battery charge and 3,7vdc->2,5vdc for pcb powering.
Best regards,
Shooter75
I think, board or rom error

what does mean a very fast flashing red led

hey guys i just bought a new battery for my jasjar, the phone isnt booting even if the charger is plugged in, it only boot for like 6 seconds before it turn off again, even if i charged the new battery for 10 hours, even there is no orange led tell that the battery is charging... i plugged the phone into the USB cable with the pc and a fast flashing red light comes from the led (like 3 flashes per second) so what is the problem? is the new battery damaged or what? please help

red light means extremely low batt.....guess your battery is faulty
i got the same thing.
and no it's not the battery.
it's the charging circuit on the main hardware isn't working.
open your phone and check the five small wires that they connect the mini usb to the main mother board, one of them must be cut.

so, is there a solution to this? or there really is nothing more for the device but the trash bin or for spare parts?
Have you tried this?

If you already replaced the battery and nothing, and you want to get rid of dear Uni place it for sell in parts on marketplace, a lot of people will go for it!

I had exactly the same thing with my old battery, after my try to discharge it with a lil electro-motor. then i found a post of a guy with the same thing, who fixed it-by "zapping" the UNI battery with a 9V battery, connecting + to + and - to -,for a few second. I tried it without thinking twice. It worked for me. Dunno how and why,but it did. I use the battery again, normal. But beware,it is dangerous to play with this type of battery,it can explode. Do a search on this subject and you will see
I agree with keeping_sg
how long have you left your uni on the charger?
just plug it in and leave it on the charger all night and see what happens.
I bought yesterday a 4800mAh battery from Hong Kong... 10 euros included shipping + FREE black back cover
Good battery life but still prefer to carry 2 original sized batts rather than get that big one, making even bigger our Uni
Respectfully,
Yes, that absolutely means your battery is dead. Try charging for a few more hours and then turn on your PocketPC. If the error persists, try changing the battery.

After self turn from low battery, Desire wont turn on

Hi to all, last night my desire ran out of battery and i' was nowhere near my charger cause i left it at my office.
i try to turn it on and send txt message but it was automaticaly turned off again before i can get to the homescreen.
without waiting too long i try to turn it on again and still i can't get to write a single letter cause it was automaticaly turned off itself again.
this morning when i get my hands on the charger i quickly plug the charger but the amber light aren't turning on, yes my desire wont turn on either, i try to connect it with adb and when i type adb devices the adb tool shows there are no devices connected.
Please help me how to turn my Desire on again, fyi i already plug the charger for more than half hour without any led on my phone lights on.
Anyone knows any workaround on this problem, maybe experiencing the same issue?
Thank's in advance
If you're using the stock battery which is Li-on, then the problem might be that you killed it by forcing the usage after the shutdown. Li-on batteries should NEVER be juiced out to a true 0%, or it will die. That's why the Desire turns off most of the time between 10-15% to make sure this doesn't happen. (Other mobile phones do this too, but they report it to you as 0% instead of the arbitrary 10-15%) I do hope so that this is not the case with your problem. Sorry if I only gave an explanation instead of a solution, but that's all I can think about right now.

try removing the battery and put it again. then plug the charge. wait for some time. hopefully it should fix it, else you need to try replacing your battery if it was not replaced recently.

Thank's a lot for your respond my friends
My friend help me by trying to manually (connect the - and the + terminal with his blackberry charger) charge my battery for about a minute and then quickly insert the batt and plug the charger.
The orange light lit again but it took about 7 hours to reach 100%, after i unplug, the batt went down faster than Rossi's motoGP bike
2 hours standby and it went off.
I thought it better be charged again with the phone off and so i did.
After about 20 min, my phone vibrates as if there were a call coming in (phone was off) so in a rush i quickly unplug the phone and took the batt off (i'm worried it will damage my phone)
Since then, the batt won't recharge AGAIN, the orange led aren't lit no more.
Sorry for those long letters, one more question, do you guys think i have to get new battery or should i try to do the charging again?
Thank's in advance

New battery is about £35.. dunno how much that is in Indonesia. I'd strongly recommend buying an original battery also, not a cheap knock off - bad ones can have very poor battery life, overheat, melt (even "explode" sometimes), and just in general kill your phone.
thank's a lot guys, will be lookin' for the genuine replacement today, tell ya the result later.
Thank's again for answering my worries
edit:
Ok guys, i got my genuine new battery which cost me around 24-26 Euro's
Test the battery at the store to show that it was charging and it was charging ok so i turn off the phone and go home.
Plug the charger as soon as i get home and the orange led didn't lit, to make the story short i presume that something is wrong with my phone, it drains the battery whether the phone was on or off!
Sending to the Collect Point for sure tonite after work.
Thank's a lot for you who read and answer my question.

Newly bought HOX with possible charging problem?

Hey guys, I just purchased an HTC One X, got back home and plugged it on the charger but no light came on. I tried to use the USB cable to charge it on my laptop and even tried my Nokia N86's charger but nothing worked, no light came on. I then decided to leave it on the charger. About 5-10 minutes later a red blinking light appeared, I didn't like the fact that it was blinking and decided to Google it, some people said that it's a battery problem and some others said that it just means that the phone is low on battery. I checked my phone again and noticed that the red light stopped flashing. Should I be worried that this is the start of a worse problem or is it to be expected? I was scared to buy this phone at first due to the problems I was reading online and this red flashing light thing isn't much of a warm welcoming :crying:

Now that the flashing has stopped, is there just a constant red light?
If there is a constant red light now, no need to be worried.
The battery was obviously very low, and as it is a newly bought phone this seems to be the more logical cause.
If there is no red light any more I would take it back for replacement.

It's charging just fine now, the red light isn't blinking. So you're saying that I shouldn't be worried? Thank God, this incident made me think that I've made a wrong phone selection again. Thank you!

Yeah this sounds like a definite low battery. They can get to a point where there so low, they havent even got the energy to realise they are being charged, and therefor will not charge.
As I said, as its a new phone I'd say 99.999999% it is a battery that was left to get to low, which the seller should have kept an eye on. But it has obviously sorted itself out. So leave it to charge for an hour or 2 and your away !

Help phone wont charge, stuck on red battery

So my zenfone 2 is rooted and today it ran out of battery. I put it on charger, there is no LED indicator lighting but ok, i thought it´s charging, so in few minutes i tried to power my device on, but i got only that low battery screen and it turn off after few seconds. I can get to this low battery screen even without charger, but it´s same. When i press power button in this low battery screen i get that bolt there, like it´s charging for a second but then it turn off. I also can´t get to recovery mode, even when i try it on that screen, it shows white battery with question mark. When i try it from turned off mobile, nothing happens. Please help me. Sorry for my bad english. Im sure that charger is OK because it works with other stuff and when i plug the mobile into pc, it´s just same, nothing. I have TWRP recovery btw.
Seems that you are having my same problem (http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/help/phone-wont-charge-tries-to-t3426130), but you can see the charging screen. Does your phone get hot while charging? Mine doesn't (so it is not charging) I bought the usb chargning module, hoping that it will arrive soon if that is the problem.
Regards.
