please help! DEAD BA! Any ideas... - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

I awoke this morning to find my BA (still plugged to the chrager) with no green light. it would not power on. I tired to remove and replace the battery, nothing. i tried soft reset and hard reset. when i put it in the cradle the light is red for a second, then goes off. I cant seem to get it to power on for anything? anyone have an idea?? please help! thank you

im glad no one wasted time responding. apparently the charger i was using drained the batteries. even though i got a red light when i set it in the cradle. after some time all is well. no data or settings were lost.

I think, You have some troubles with power converter in your BA.
It responds for conversion 5vdc->3,7vdc for battery charge and 3,7vdc->2,5vdc for pcb powering.
Best regards,
Shooter75

I think, board or rom error

Charging problem - Dead XDAIIs - Rapidly flashing red LED

My XDA IIS is not responding at all - a soft or hard reset has no impact whatsoever.
I had a fairly standard crash, which resulted in the processor running hard for a few hours (until I got round to soft resetting). When I did reset everything was normal except the battery was very low, so I plugged it in to charge up. It continued beeping to notify of low battery, even though it was plugged in, and then eventually turned off completely.
It now does absolutely nothing, except when it is plugged in there is a rapid red LED flash.
Any idea or suggestions gratefully received!
This has just happened to my XDA11i today.
No sign of lifeeven after hard reset.
the charging light is red rather than the usual yellowy green.
Please help.

R.I.P. beautiful Blue Angel ... dead forever?

I'll start by saying I don't have any prior history of this XDA IIs and what caused it to get to the point it is at now. All I can tell you is the things I have tried to revive it.. maybe someone knows some CPR for these things..haha. Anyway, I got this unit and first thing was I put the battery in the cradle ext charger with the orange charge LED "with the 5v PSU" and waited a few hours and the light turned green so I would start with a fully charged battery. I have tried holding down the power button, pressing reset + power, reset + camera + power, reset + camera + record + power. It seams this thing will not power on and/or enter bootloader. The charge LED does not light when the unit is in the cradle. However if I take the battery out and plug the XDA into the cradle the charge light turns red indicating a battery problem so at least something happens. One last bit of information, when I put the battery in and press the power button for the first time the charge led very breifly and faintly flashes green.. prob doesn't mean much. I have opened it up and everything looks good inside.. no corrosion as if it was dropped in water or something. What could cause it to go completely dead.. is there any hope at this point? If not I will probably just look for another "bad screen IIs" and use this screen.. could also sell the camera and back..
Bump. I am curious abou tthis.

XDA 2s Completely dead, how do I revive?

Please help me out, my O2 XDA 2s went completely useless. It started when I use the Wifi longer and sometimes never turned it off. I noticed that the battery (back) was always hot when I touch it. I am always having a problem of soft resetting and even hard restarting. But a week ago, it went completely dead. Since I have no time to check it, I simply left it.
Now, when I try to hard reset it (reset and power button), there was nothing on the screen (completely black) and the light are no longer blinking (BT light and GSM light??) As if the XDA is really DEAD. It has no response and it wont sync too. I have recharged the battery and changed it with a spare battery but the same thing happens. What I notice is that the back of the battery still gets hot.
Please help!! What am I suppose to do?
i-mate PDA2K completely dead, too
Hi, I had almost the very same problem:
I used a 3rd party charger to charge my i-mate PDA2K and all of a sudden the normal screen flashed to the boot screen and the device went dead: no BT/WiFi/GSM lights, black screen, not responding to soft reset or hard reset either. When I plugged in the charger or the cradle, the battery charging light came on.
I took out the battery and wiped the contacts with acetone, but that didn't help. All manners of resetting (power+camer+reset, power+record+reset) did not work.
Here's how I solved it:
put the PDA in its original cradle
waited several minutes
pressed the power button
The thing came back to life, as after a soft reset (nothing from the RAM was lost). I immediately went to the battery screen and it showed a 0% charge of the main battery and a 100% charge of the backup battery. The battery was never hot, though.
I suspect the connectors of the charger I used somehow shortcircuited or otherwise discharged the main battery. Any advice on a good charger cable for the i-mate PDA2K?
I have tried all rest type too as you have said. But it doesnt start or boot. The battery heats up though.
Any help? Please !!!!
Thanks

help! reset, it hang, i reset again and its dead

yestarday i charge my ba until the charging led turn green, i reset, then when it comes to the 3 color lines with the radio version etc at the lower right, it hang. it just display that screen for 5 minutes. then i pull off the battery to reset it. (because i lost my stylus). i put the battery again. now it wont start.
when i put the phone in the cradle, the charging led will not light aymore.
btw, my ba is using wm5.
anyone know what i should do now?
thanks
just to add, when i put it in cradle and connect to pc, nothing happens at pc, but steady red light appear at ba.
anybody have any idea?
thanks
Battery is charged? (take it out and charge using cradle)
Is there "Serial/USB" on the screen (it's not enlighted, you need external light to see it).
If battery is charged and screen is empty not reacting for power and/or reset, you device might be totally dead.
PS: Styluses are not expensive.
jakubd.. yes battery is fully charged. i charge it separately from the ba. there is no usb/serial on the screen.
just when i thought to upgrade to wm6. damn. is there really no way of getting it back alive? hard to accept the fact that its dead.
ps: i have extra stylus, but the stylus hole is already loose. thats why i didnt use stylus anymore.
There is a chip in battery and sometimes it gets crazzy..
You must take off the battery from PDA, then charge battery in cradle...
after 1 hour you will put it on PDA and charge with pda...
It s solved...
shantilas.. i have done it. still nothing happened.

M8 Wont Turn On. Red LED Still Lights Up When Using A Charger But No Screen/Response

Hi,
I have a htc one m8 that wont turn on. I plug it in the charger or the computer(the computer doesn't recognize it) and it shows the red led charging light, but it won't power on. I have tried the several key combinations multiple times, but they did nothing. I also left it charging the whole night and the light was still red this morning.
The phone had given some issues in the past. The charging port is a bit temperamental and for a while it wouldnt charge if the cable wasn't in a certain position and wouldn't turn on, so it was shelved, until recently it started working again for a few days and now won't turn on at all.
Anyone has any idea what the problem could be or how to fix it? Could this be a dead battery? I thought it could be a bad battery, but it would still turn on when charging, no?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
I have been trying the key combinations these last few days and nothing. any ideas?
