Possible to Downgrade Nexus 5X below Marshmallow? - Nexus 5X Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there anyway to flash an older stock Nexus rom to the 5X, or maybe a CM rom? I guess I'm just feeling nostalgic.

Nope unless you develop a cm12 rom yourself

[Q] Update stock ROM

Hello.
I haven't seen an official Kitkat update for the P6-U06 - International Edition (i have the B113, JB 4.2.2 version).
As Huawei seems that it doesn't care about it, i want to update mi stock ROM to a fully functional Kitkat custom ROM.
Which ones are the most recommended???
I've seen versions B5XX, to miui, etc, but with huawei, i haven't worked with updates (i had a samsung cellphone, then an LG G, with which i didn't have problems finding the best ROMs), so i need a little help here.

B510, B511 and B512 are Official International KitKat Updates.
Yep i think there is also an B513 by now
But if you want a custom Rom, there is CyanogenMod 11 (newly arrived!), Paranoid Android and OmniRom
In my opinion CM11 and PA are the best

Question about Roms and Lollipop

I'm running the latest version of the Remixed Rom which is lollipop 5.0.2. Do I still need to update my whole Device to the new firmware or is it enough to have the rom installed.?
And if I do have to to still install the firmware could somebody point me to a how-to that makes it as simple as possible?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean by "is it enough to have the ROM installed?" but if you like the ROM you're running then just keep using it until the developer updates it.
I mean, do I need to install the firmware AND the rom or is the rom by itself all I need?

LG G4 Pure Android?

Is it possible to take the factory image for a Nexus 5x and use it for a LG G4 without using cyangenmod or twrp? How do drivers work in Android?
no
and nexus 5x no pure android ,,,nexus 5x nexus 5x rom
No. Each device needs its own specific android ROM built for it.

Firmware

Hi all,
In the past I have rooted my Galaxy note 4, Nexus 7, Nexus 4, etc with no problem and installed cyanogenmod and other roms. However, I do not recall to be worried about the firmware version of each rom, I can see a lot of roms here that needs a specific firmware version, my question is:
If I update the firmware for a specific time, may I downgrade it if I want to roll back to the old rom after a while? Is there any risk to brick my device by running different firmware version than the one to the rom? What exactly is inside the firmware?
Thank you in advance
