New Firnware for Turkey? - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys from turkey is this a new Firmware maybe 6.0.1? Pls give us infos Or changelog

I believe that this is the current version that we are using which is v20d-tur-xx. If not please enlighten us

i am currently using a h815 german model of the g4 so i didnt know that tr versions didnt get v20d yet. i thoguht it would be 6.0.1. I saw this today because i wanted to downgrade my phone back to 5.1 but if anyone here has a turkish model then he could give us more detailed information.

I am currently installing the new update. I checked the LG Bridge app after your post. There is a new update (v20e-tur-xx Dated 22/03/2016 I guess I skipped the details screen). I will write again once the update is done. It is 1.57gb and showing enchantsment on wifi calling and voelt(or smt like this).

You had v20d before update or something else?

The new firmware is v20e. Here is the download for that version:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/kdz-firmware-20e-turkey-t3347030

It would be somethink like april security patch and they probably have added support for wifi calling and volte as it looks like, but I cannot say somethink. I want the opinion from the people who has this update.

Yeah it seems that way and also wifi calling and volte added. (no idea what those are). After the update it asked me to restart my phone for wifi calling and i did but nothing different caught my eye.
Accually there is a new tab in the settings->call

1,57 gb and you say that you took another 1,57gb for update and nothing change except this 2 options!!!this has 2 explanations one you are a hacker and want to harm us and the second you are totally noob and you took marshmallow 6.0 but in your country has the name 20e......something that is more posible cause many countries around the world has diff 20?!!!

Don't call people noob or hacker. Maybe you are a brash f...l that you can say these words. I'm downloading KDZ now. I will flash tomorrow or tonight and it is very natural that size is 1.57gb. Because LTE will be starting to used in our country on April 1. I know this is a very sad situtation for us

Actually it is not 4G, it will be 4.5G after April 1. I have also installed 20e via LG Bridge and LG Bridge has downloaded 1.57GB file for update.

So is this flashable on h815 eu ?

Actually I don't have so big expectation from 4G. Because in our country, gsm operators can't still give us fully 3G speeds. This is Turkey

4.5G? They still cant give us fully 3G speeds. They try to decieve you with 0.5G by giving you very long time delayed LTE support.

I flashed 20e KDZ with LGUP but there is no section for wifi calling. How did you get it?

A bit off topic, but Turkcell was one of the best providers I could try regarding 3G. With a prepaid SIM I had a very stable and fast connection, no drops in crowded Istanbul areas, data cover even in remote places like the top of Mount Nemrut ! They could even teach some of the French carriers to handle a 3G network correctly !
Off topic finished, don't know how they can put out a 1.5GB update with "only" this little improvement. Maybe a lot more of changes "under-the-hood".

See the other thread guys!

That one seems to be a list of where which firmware was released, but on your link
My country acually is listed unter the nordic country firmware, eventhough my phone does not show me the update.... Does anyone know the difference between those 2? Or does it even make a difference? (Pretty new here so sry if that is a dump question^^)

XXLM8 is the best
Sent from my GT-I8150 using xda premium
It has a different size between XXLM8 and XXLMD. I just download the XXLMD by now. It is smaller than XXLM8. Did they get rid something? I wonder bout that. I plan to change my baseband from LM8 to LMD.

Hi all, this morning I've found my phone lying on the shelf with the update push notification...and yes, it finally got updated to XXLMG!! It's the latest Italian firmware, as sammobile states too :victory:
I confirm that is now possible to take pictures during a video, to adjust font size and to unlock with face. Also 3 new apps are now added by default (Google+, his Messenger and Play Books)

Update from V10a - should I?

Hi all
I'm new to G3 phones, and I just discovered that the firmware of my LG G3 is V10a, which is, I think, the first one. Right now, they say version V20f is out...
I have been invited to do OTA updates, but... my G3 has absolutely no problem, everything works 100%, I have no special issue with this magnificent machine. :good:
So, i dunno, should I update? I mean, what's the point to update a machine which is perfect right now (for me). I'm happy with V10a firmware, so is it worth it to update?

It depends where is your phone from.
Go to this URL csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=[IMEI] and put your imei at the end.
It connects directly with LG's servers and tells you what is the latest version availaible for your phone.

Probably in the general section of this forum. There is a topic about the Lollipop update. I haven't read it but maybe they talk about what they think of the update.
But you should definitely update from V10a, later OTAs have a lot of improvements in them. You got an early version here.

LG G3 Lollipop (D85010f)

Hello Respected Members,
I've searched a lot about my issue of g3 but can't find the solution or right answer. So I've an AT&T LG G3 which is great no doubt but I saw on the official site of AT&T that they've released the lollipop update for LG G3 on February but when I checked update through mobile it say's I've latest version of software which is 4.4.2. Software information is below
Android version : 4.4.2
Baseband version : MPSS.DI.2.0.1.c1.13.00009-M8974AAAAANPZM-1
Kernel version : 3.4.0
Build number : KVT49L.D85010f
Software version : D85010f
One Thing More, I've zero info about rom, cutrom rom, bootloader, etc
so I really appreciate if any one help me with this that is my phone have any root access or lollipop hasn't arrived for my phone yet?? I saw there is no SU here in my phone not in hidden applications also.
Please help me with this as all people around the world has solved their queries about their phones here....>
THank You!!
Help Me Please...!
Did you ever disable OTA? 3845#*850# < WLAN Test < OTA Settings < Enable
Here's the guide and TOT if you want to install that way.
You need a valid and working AT&T sim plugged in in order for the OTA to show up
Otherwise if you can manually find the lollipop OTA package for AT&T you can also apply it using the adb method
Highly recommend you do not use the TOT method to apply the update. Countless people have hard bricked their phone because of some random error that occured and its not worse the risk
I've checked and enabled the ota setting but didn't showing any update......
is there any easy way to manually install officially lollipop update in my mobile without rooting my mobile...??

Ok thanks a million !!

My Mi A2 lite seems not to get any updates

When I received my brandnew Mi A2 lite end of September it offered me straight away an update. Ever since I did not receive any further updates, neither security patches (currently on 5th Sept.) nor the PIE update. When I now try the OTA update it tellms me that the service is currently not available. My Mi is not rooted nor is the bootloader open. Its same as on the first day. Does anybody else face this issue?
Sucks to not get the OTA updates, but at least you could update (flash) your phone with the offical fastboot roms downloadable from Xiaomi.
https://en.miui.com/getrom.php?r=354&m=yes&app=false
Easy as pie to flash it via MiFlash tool, but I'm afraid you have to unlock your bootloader before.
I'm on October update and don't seem to get anything else either!
May I ask where are you both from? From experience with my old Motorola and my brother's Nokia for example, some regions like the U.K. get their updates always pretty late.
Edit: I'm using mobile Firefox, don't see any country flags if used.

The country you're in while checking isn't the "problem", it's the country where your SIM card is from. Maybe try to remove the SIM and/or try to reset location data like discribed here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a2-lite/how-to/beta-upgrade-to-android-9-beta-pie-vpn-t3872694
With a German SIM this shouldn't be necessary at all, but maybe resetting of the location data alone might help.

Hmmm! Last thing to test would be a factory reset and a try to update an untouched environment preferably without SIM cards.
Don't use the Google restore option! If you do so, don't forget to backup important stuff to a SD card/cloud before.

That's what I thought to do too, but I have 3 more trips coming up till the end of the year, so let's see if there'll be any luck with the December update or with any of the other countries! Else, I'll probably have to do a factory reset! This is not what I was hoping for though, all I wanted was a phone that can have monthly security updates!
