Hello Respected Members,
I've searched a lot about my issue of g3 but can't find the solution or right answer. So I've an AT&T LG G3 which is great no doubt but I saw on the official site of AT&T that they've released the lollipop update for LG G3 on February but when I checked update through mobile it say's I've latest version of software which is 4.4.2. Software information is below
Android version : 4.4.2
Baseband version : MPSS.DI.2.0.1.c1.13.00009-M8974AAAAANPZM-1
Kernel version : 3.4.0
Build number : KVT49L.D85010f
Software version : D85010f
One Thing More, I've zero info about rom, cutrom rom, bootloader, etc
so I really appreciate if any one help me with this that is my phone have any root access or lollipop hasn't arrived for my phone yet?? I saw there is no SU here in my phone not in hidden applications also.
Please help me with this as all people around the world has solved their queries about their phones here....>
THank You!!
Help Me Please...!
Did you ever disable OTA? 3845#*850# < WLAN Test < OTA Settings < Enable
Here's the guide and TOT if you want to install that way.
You need a valid and working AT&T sim plugged in in order for the OTA to show up
Otherwise if you can manually find the lollipop OTA package for AT&T you can also apply it using the adb method
Highly recommend you do not use the TOT method to apply the update. Countless people have hard bricked their phone because of some random error that occured and its not worse the risk
I've checked and enabled the ota setting but didn't showing any update......
is there any easy way to manually install officially lollipop update in my mobile without rooting my mobile...??

Then you cant update it since noone has captured the OTA package
Why didnt you originally get the D855 edition instead?

If you are using the final build of the Android L KDZ then you'll be fine to flash it from any version as the KDZ contains all necessary files. @autoprime has confirmed on his twitter feed that this update does not implement anti-rollback so you should be fine to downgrade and Bump in the future if you want. Hope this helps!
But I'm not using the final build of Android... I'm asking if I can upgrade to lollipop, when it's officially out, instead updating to 10L and then update to Lollipop

Xposed woun’t work for now on L maybe later...

Just flash the new ver L no need beetwen ver...
I know that... I just wanna know if I need to do 2 updates or I can just jump to lollipop once it's officially out. I just said that I have Xposed and the rest, for you guys to tell me which is the best way to update in these conditions.
Thanks.

I said the Lollipop update contains all necessary files. The final KDZ is what they will push when Android L gets officially updated on your device, or a TOT or .dpkg. You will not need to update in between as you never do inbetween major system updates. If an official update ever has dependencies, it will not let you update without them so don't worry. You would be able to jump from any version you like to Android L. Like I said though, we will have a ported version of Android L long before the official update. Also, although @autoprime has confirmed the release of Android L for the D855 does not implement anti-rollback, this does not mean that other variants will not implement something to keep us from going back to previous software versions, then you may be stuck with Android L but no root or TWRP permanently. I can not emphasize enough how much I do not agree with taking any official updates if you are the slightest bit interested in root or custom roms for you phone.
Also, you only get notified if someone directly quotes a post of yours or if you mention someone by username using @ like I did for @autoprime above.
If I've helped, hit the thanks button!

If you want to update officially with the KDZ, the best option is this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2799647
Just use the tool and official KDZ to ensure everything is wiped and completely updated.
There is already a rooted Android L .zip ready to flash via TWRP that is available in the General G3 Development thread. Good luck with either route.
Love you.

Thank you so much! Finally someone who gave me a perfect answer for all my questions! Thanks again! By the way my model is indeed 855 international. Is the released Android L KDZ the official one? because I wanted the fully stable version released by LG...

His twitter feed Auto(utoprime) shows recent tweets where he bolded the fact that it does not implement it.
https://mobile.twitter.com/utoprime
It's a few tweets down and it specifically says the D855 20A update does not use anti-rollback.
did LG?

Just wondering, LG will release Lollipop soon right? should I root now or just wait for the 5.0 update?

I would root right now while you have the chance and install a custom lollipop rom.
After the official lollipop gets released by LG it will lock your bootloader, If you already have it unlocked.
Also it's rumored that root may not work on the G3 after the official lollipop update.

Yeah im planning to root now.. problem is.. I dont think other ROMs would work for the D858 variant. (Dual Sim)
Is it possible to get OTA while being rooted?

I think CloudyG3 1.2 -=- [All Variants] might work for you as a custom rom, He hasn't released lollipop version yet, It's still on 4.4.2 for now.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/rom-cloudyg3-1-0-t2917467
But when he does release the lollipop version it will be rooted!! and you will still have your bootloader unlocked!!
This is the rom I'm waiting for on my D852 since I'm pretty much in the same boat as you when it comes to not much development for my model.
You will lose root or bootloop if you OTA while rooted.
I've seen a lot of people get their G3's stuck in a bootloop from accepting a OTA while bootloader is unlocked too.
Personally I would just avoid any OTA's for now and stick with stock 4.4.2 or a custom rom, I'm itching to try lollipop too, sooo bad. but it's not worth being locked down!!

Yeah, it's because you have the 11c software instead of the stock 10b. You need to flash the original firmware. Google xda g3 stock 10b and you'll find out how to do it.

just look for your specific stock firmware. There are threads on xda showing you which roots work on which versions.

I've already contacted the dev, hopefully he can help me out.

Dont even bother with that. Find your stock firmware and put your phone into download mode and use LG Flash Tool to flash to stock. Try googling what I just described, and you will be able to root to your pleasure.

Yes sim will be locked. There are some possible fixes. Spring android development thread has it. The developer of ultrapop, says he will add it to his ROM one it is stable.
Hello Everyone,
I have a unlocked AT&T Note4 which I purchased manufacture refurbished from eBay.
I have been trying to update my Note4 using OTA, but I am still 5.0.1 and N910AUCU2COC5 version.
When I click 'Software updates' button, "Current software is up to date" is displayed.
Is it something because my phone is unlocked?
Please help me to update my phone to marshmallow.
Thank you guys!
J
Well I guess what you can do is update the phone via the marshmallow instructions in the general section of the at&t note 4 forum. Just Odin to DOI2 and use the incremental updates(DOI3,DOI4,etc) to get yourself to official marshmallow.

But what is official MM? I see multiple versions floating around and I don't know what the difference between them are. I'm on DOI7 right now and there's like an EPH5, EPG7, and I think there was one other but I can't seem to find it.

EPH5 should be official. There's a package that updates from DOI7 to EPH5 if I remember correctly.
