Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy!
So if I am understanding correctly. This is pretty much a ROM to keep the Samsung feel but with out all the bloat and apps that I don't want? Sorry my first time messing with a tablet so I want to make sure I know what I am getting into. Thank you.

Yes. I believe you can pick the apps you dont want or idk. It has all the samsung stuff too. I think you can install the apps backon if you wanted too. I a noob back in july and August about all this. And its best to backup ur rom with twrp. In case you get a boot loop, you can force a reboot by holding home, vol up and down buttons for 30 seconds, and it will reboot then you you have to hold home, power and vol up to boot into twrp recovery and restore your backup.

Hello.. How to solve "Screen Mirroring hardware problem" with Smart TV?
Always that awkward first post.
Hey all!
First and foremost, many thanks to those who make this site possible. Great resource for us who lurk in the background and read-only.
Just picked up a TabS 8.4. Have been using a S4 stock for over a year and have a new one on the way in. This question is for the TabS
I haven't turned it on yet since the unpack, still charging it. Pretty excited.
My experience with bloat ware on my S4 makes me want to work on this TabS, but I haven't done such a thing before. Can any of you give me a quick idea of the pro's/cons for doing so? I know it will void my warranty which makes me nervous, but I also like the idea of ditching all the proprietary software which I will never use.
My TabS is SM-700NTSAXAC from Canada, unsure if it differs from US model
Thanks in advance

Depending on laws, sometimes tripping knox doesnt void your warrenty. You should be able to modify any device just like jailbreaking. Anyway, if yojr pc is bad, then you might have trouble with fixing bootloops. Is yours a 16gb model and wifi?
To gain root, you will need to flash cfautoroot to get that. It will void warrenty too. It may seem scary but it only takes a few seconds to do. Theres a thread on how to do so. But first you must wait a few weeks in order to see if your tablet is defective. If not then root.
After that install a custom recovery. Twrp custom recoviery can prevent bootloops, and restore your backup in a bootloop if you get any. It can also flash custom roms that can give you a whole new UI. You can install twrp from the google play store. Theres instructions on how to do so.
Pros: More safe from bootloops with custom recovery. Endless customization. Less lag when debloating. Better battery life. Able to make a whole nandroid backup of your current settings/apps to restore too. Bricking can be foxed by pc.
Cons/bad things: Potential of bricking which is really rare. Void warrenty. Manually have to flash updates from samsungz so you cant ota update,.
Battery life: i have flashed a custom kernel and i am rooted. Battery life increased without taking away performance as i tweaked cpu a bit to gain this. Pictures below show how much battery life i got with a custom kernel. I did this test by charging fully to a 100 percent and using my tablet for straight almost 10 hours.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the help, much appreciated! So far it's been fun getting to know the TabS, definitely has some more pep to it than my S4. Didn't find that bloatware is as bad as the S4 and the TabS allows you to freeze apps internally. Or it seems that way. Regardless I was on it almost 6 hrs straight last night installing apps and getting the device set up. Hit 60% battery so pretty happy with it.
Will probably root it as I want to install an app to use Airplay with my home theater receiver.
This screen is AMAZING!
If you can help i would appreciate it a lot

Can you tell me what you installed exactly? Kernel, rom etc? I installed this after i read your post today about battery as well but i was losing 1% every 1minute of on screen time. If you can share your knowledge with me i would really appreciate it. There is also another thread with this rom ( i think is an updated version, i am not really sure ). Thanks a lot

I am running skyhigh kernel for the T800 and also running stock rom with some apps i removed. Auto brightness is off, and set to 1\4 brightness.
Since skyhigh kernel can control you cpu and gpu, it can also give you more battery with the synapse app. Ive set synapse to the battery settings that upintheair suggested. I also underclocked to 1.6 ghz. After doing all that, battery drains 5 minutes and 40 seconds every 1percent.
Also, to achieve that long of battery life, I watched a video on youtube, broswed the web, took pictures and took some notes. And I did that stright for 9 hours. I have been experiancing a bit lf drain during standby. I will try to fix those issues and share back. Anyway I hope this helped you gain more battery life. Also, resseting the fuel gauge once can help recalibrate the battery too.

That's awesome, so basically to achieve that all i need is to put the skyhigh kernel, follow up his configurations and then flash this rom? I hope i can manage to get that much time because right now is unusable to me ( question, do you have installed the 1.0.3 version with aroma or the 1.0.1 of this build? )
Thanks again!

Brazil Version, Kernel and OTA updates
Hi,
this is my first post so pardon me if I say something inappropriate os just stupid.
I got my Tab S 8.4 SM-T700 a few months ago and I´ve been reading about ROMS, etc, here in XDA. I didn't root my tablet yet 'cause I was waiting to see if there was something wrongwith it, in case I had to rely on warranty.
But as everything seems ok, I think I'll root it, install TWRP and flash this ROM. But before I do that, I have a few questions, if you don't mind:
1) Does this ROM use stock kernel?
2) Will it work on my brazilian version (I actually think I got an international version, cause it says SM-T700)? My Tab S already runs on NF9.
3) Will I ever be able to get OTA updates again (I mean, if I go back to stock) or will that be permanently void?
So these are my doubts before I go about flashing the ROM.
And, one last thing. Thanks for the hard work. So you know, this rom is exactly what I´ve been loking for.

No worries to feel stupid or inappropriate. All here work together to make something good, BETTER!
I am a new memeber too and actually the T700 is my first android device aswell. I was a huge apple fan boy before
I also got my tab 2 months ago and i rooted it. By the time you root it you lose warranty from what i understood. This rom which i was using it as my first rom after root is basically the same as stock without all the bloat. I used the v1.0.1 first and then i used the v1.0.3 with the aroma installer which makes the flash even nicer. Be careful when u root as i got a soft brick cause of wrong twrp version. This rom actually is pretty snappy with a nice battery life. The only reason i changed it is cause i wanted to try the CM11 and see how different it is to stock. So far everything is fine with either ROM. Used both with their stock kernels and again everything was fine. Also from what i understood once you root u don't get OTA from samsung but i believe you can update manually by downloading their newer version ( if ever released) and flash them via ODIN which is the program you will use either way to flash your twrp too, at least that's how i did it!
Hope i helped. You also might want to check my story about my soft brick and what to avoid here .
Hope i helped you
Yeah, u helped. Some of my doubts are gone But I'm still wondering if this ROM uses stock kernel, if it will work on my device and if its possible to get OTA if I go back to flashing stock firmware. Thans for replying.

Hey, Everything on this ROM has worked great for me apart from the fact that the fingerprint scanner keeps giving me the error:
Attention
An error has occurred with the fingerprint sensor. If this message appears repeatedly restart you device.
I have wiped the internal storage dalvik and cache with no success. I am also running on the skyhigh kernel and xposed.
Thanks
Hello XDA!
I recently purchased a SM-T807P (10.5" LTE/Snapdragon) with the intent to use it as a wifi device.
Will anyone tell me which roms work with this device? I've heard the challenge is to find a snapdragon rom?
Its rooted with TWRP on it already. Just need some tasty roms to play with.
If there is ANY way to get cyanogenmod on it that would be my first choice (I would even be willing to offer a bounty!)
I am already running the only one I could find specifically for SM-T807P.

I'm glad to find a custom rom, but am really for a lollipop de-bloated rom.
But ANYTHING that people have tried so far would be great.
OR anything that I should try that wont permanently brick my new tablet!
Thanks all!
Now you have twrp just make a full backup before you go messing and you'll never have to worry about bricking your tablet.
As for roms, pretty much all roms are based on stock, so just modify yours as you see fit.
Debloat, add mods, etc.

Considering that I am using a snapdragon version of this tablet maybe you could point me in the right direction about which roms work for that processor versus the other?
I know one of the issues was finding a rom that had the right kernel for my tablet.
No the kernel isn't the issue. Its that the t807p is partitioned differently than what the available ROMs are compatible with. I have the same tablet and as awesome as it it, there is very little support for it. No developers have it and its very difficult to work with without owning one.
There is twrp available which I assume you have used and rooted. There is a stock ROM on XDA that is lollipop that works awesomely. I just debloated it myself and tuned it with kernel tuner with stock rooted options. Xposed won't work without a deodexed rom either which is not available. But regular root options and a different launcher (I use nova) and i have it running pretty damn smooth.

I flashed the only KK ROM I found and got FC's to no avail. I then basically wiped the whole thing then odin'd to lollipop. I am stock now and you're right, it's a damn nice device. -- I wouldn't mind de-bloating it myself, do you by any chance have the 'safe list' to reference as far as which apps are good to go. Last thing I wanna do is get rid of some odd-ball system file that creates hell for myself.
Thank you
Just make a backup first with twrp before you go messing then use system app remover to debloat or just freeze with titanium backup . If you get an issue after removing something you can easily restore it.

No problem. First off, listen to everything xda senior member ashyx says. I have been dealing with my rooted t807p for a while and I have found all his posts on the tab s not just accurate, but extremely useful.
here is a post regarding safe apps to uninstall: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/help/list-bloated-apps-to-uninstall-sm-t700-t2861180
Now what I have personally taken off my tab s has been the superficial apps. The magazine apps, office apps that I have no use for, While a lot of apps on the post may be safe to delete, it doesnt mean you should if you plan on using your tablet for wireless transfers, casting and what not. I prefer not to touch many of the "behind the scenes" apps. And also it depends on why you are debloating. Are you looking for more storage space? or for better ram and performance? Unfortunately, at least for my use, you wont save much storage space by deleting apps. But freezing them and playing with it makes a big difference. On just a standard recent apps clearing and maybe a push of my "fast reboot" app, and I can get my RAM to run at around 900mb and little battery drainage.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions, I have played with my t807p for quite a while with rooting and have learned pretty well what works and what doesnt. I am no developer like the senior members on here but there aren't many people with our specific tab s.

I realize it's been a year or more, but do you have a link to the Lollipop ROM for T807P? I've tried the "SuperSkilled" ROM but it was KitKat. I looked for a Cyanogen build for this tablet but no luck. Looking for any ROM that's close to AOSP or at least debloated and is Lollipop or MM.
I have been browsing the forums for quite some time now and I have tried alot of roms. Every rom I have tried, has failed or is no longer supported. Can anyone reading this post please share a link or any other information regarding this help. I have the 5110 version note I appreciate all the help I can get.

I forced myself to break away and lightly customize a stock ROM made for a provider. It is the only stock ROM that has stagefright fix which is way cool, and a few other usabililty fixes as well. Must allow security update to patch, it helps correct a few wee bugs.
The big issue... you are forced to keep a new boot loader, and cannot revert to any previous Stock ROM, and must deal with boot loader compatibilities unknown by builders as they have stopped with any new builds .
Downside, the new bootloader effects various Root functions. But newer Super Su, Boeffla utility, and other updated older Xposed modules seem to help with the new boot loader. Plus Default Apps no longer lists, but they can be managed through App Manager.
A custom SecSettings from a Note 2 (S5 varient) will bring back the Default Apps function plus many hidden settings options built in thus latest OEM build.
So, if you want all the bells and whistles, you will have to deal with the bugs, no matter how big or how small.
Now to explain what features I had with Gnabo v8 SE that I don't miss at all.
Mag UX, Tab Keyboard, Spen Air Command, 160dpi, Multi boot menu, and enhanced wallpaper picker.
Features I have and use, and are bug free but need a system UI to use them... tested with a custom Note 2 Secsettings that has some issues because it is a S5 variant and made for Note 2 specifically.
Colorblind, Interaction Control, Face Lock (came with my OEM build), Grey Scale (built in partially with new build, but S3 neo System UI is the key), Apps from a broken and defunct custom ROM for the N5110, Quick Connect 1.6.5.
My issues are minimal, but seem to be plagued by the new boot loader more than the ported apps.
Miracast works best, 3 minutes after reboot. WiFi is not stable after using hooked VPN apps of any type. Disabling WiFi for a minute and re enabling corrects the issue 80% of the time. A reboot may need to be done if WiFi is buggy. Reboots are 75% trouble free. Sometimes you get a fast boot soon after system UI loads, sometimes you get GMS forced closes, and must reboot.
It may be because of Triangle Away not being upgraded to work with newer boot loaders, or SU still needs some tweaks to work around the latest build by Samsung.
If I were stubborn I would stick with Gnabo v8 SE and it's patches and run Boeffla kernel, and just deal with 160dpi. But I am comfy with what I did even though the 75% boot issues and Miracast functionality being effected by WiFi with VPN apps.
I have given options for assistance by ROM builders in copying my ROM for building a unique custom one, but because I am using some apps that may be from a closed off ROM to builders, respect to the owners must be made. So it will be all for personal use at most.
Thanks for the detailed reply. I guess stock with some tweaks here and there isn't that bad afterall
Sent from my SM-G935F using XDA-Developers mobile app
as of late beoffla kernal utility works smoothly with its latest update.
Also I noticed better boot ups, so most of my boot issues are from beoffola utility with the new boot loader.
Plus, I had to manually remove earth, as google's earth app is busted for 218 220 dpi on the new rom. Google pushes that version from play store without installing the busted version. I downloaded he nodpi version and run it, just unable to update it through play store.
Also wifi seems to operate smoother changing from miracast, and vpn apps. again beoffola utility finally has gotten it right, to use on newer boot loaders, and the lastest OEM ROM.
Welcome to The Arko Project
About The Arko Project: I first started this project on the LG G5 when development was still slow for that device. That version as well as a version for the LG G Stylo was never released publicly due to image burn from a botched deodex attempt, and coffee respectively. I had been on the forum's for a while at that point, and seeing the amount of devices being locked down was worrying to me. I wanted to give back to the community in some small way of my own. While learning as much as possible along the way. While also helping others do the same. I haven't had any formal education in programming or android. just what I've managed to pick up, and learn (I still am learning). It has been a long journey (as well as a humbling one), but it is not over yet. Nor do I believe it ever will be for me. There is always more to learn. That said I test run every build to make sure it's stable, and reliable before releasing.
However as with any Modification to your device: Your warranty will voided, and I am not responsible for direct or indirect damage to your device(s), and no warranty of any kind is given, or implied. You flash this rom or any other modifications linked in this thread at YOUR OWN RISK.
please read all installation instructions, and warnings. It also wouldn't hurt to read through the thread if anyone had posted.
I couldn't have dreamed of this being possible without the help of these great members of our community

Notes
1*Deodexed: I did not personally deodex this rom, nor do I know if the Stock rom was even odexed. I pulled the system/boot images from my phone running 30d after downgrading from 30e to gain root. (If someone could enlighten me on this matter I would be grateful.) Edit: Rom was deodexed from oem.

3*Integrated apps: Xposed Installer, SuperSU, and Adaway all have their launcher icon removed. I have no idea if an update will break that (Although my guess is probably) SuperSU however remains in the launcher as well as in settings. So if you don't want to see it then you'll have to hide it manually for now. SuperSU should now be hidden also. (Adaway is version 57. I got an error recompiling version 60. You can update manually if you like, but it will probably break the hidden launcher icon.)
4*Custom Boot Animation: Please be forgiving. I have very, very little graphic design experience, but managed to pull something that I think looks halfway decent that was made frame by frame, and took a considerable amount of time. (Also I ran into an issue with the phone only displaying the images after a couple of folders so there are a couple of empty ones.)
That being said this whole project has taken a considerable amount of time. I like most others work 40+ hours a week. I am open to criticism, as long as it is constructive, and done in a polite way.
Install Instructions

Awesome thanks for trying it out. Let me know if you have any issues.
I'm probably let the Rom sit for a week, and make sure there isn't anything that needs to be fixed right away. I've xposed installer fc's on boot, but haven't seen one in a while. Either way it still opens, and works fine. I used it to install all my xposed tweaks.
I'll probably start working on a very basic ui theme. Mainly navbar, qs toggles notification shade etc. Then I'll look into the 4 way reboot. I've seen some old sammy threads searching on xda. We'll see if the same principle will work for lg.
Also if anyone would like to help test new builds let me know.
Will also let it sit for awhile and settle in. Preliminary go-through was okay. No issues other than that initial Xposed Installer FC.
Just want to confirm that the Xposed Framework is _not_ installed? Installer said it was not which caused me to get a little confused at first.
Now that I've had a look at what is and is not included I can reflash and setup properly. Essentially the same way as I do Nimax Slim Fit, Tekcafe, and Fulmics.
This is UX4? I forget. Last year I realized the old G3 TweaksBox themes for LP work on MM just fine. I used a few just to liven things up a bit on two ROMs running UX4.

No the framework itself isn't preinstalled. Just the new installer. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by UX4? If you let me know how I can find out. I'll let you know though. Also I never used g3 tweaksbox's theme engine myself, but if it works just let me know. I'm looking at options for managing my future themes, as decompiling, and retheming every one after an update would be tedious. Thanks for the feedback I appreciate it. ?
Sorry about the UX4 questions. Brain is scattered. I forget that some of the stock-based ROMs out there have incorporated the user interface, launcher, and whatnot from elsewhere like the G4 or G5. Also forgetting that Arko is essentially straight stock, debloated. A good thing.
EDIT: The following had all kinds of goodies, mostly G5 compatible stuff with some stock G3 compatible mods. Maybe the dev over there can help out on the theming front.

I've found this guide:https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2038675
For a bunch of different samsung mods while searching for info on 4 way reboot. 4wr however is my main focus as having it could save a lot of time rebooting to recovery, and what not. I'm having issues getting a custom zip with a minor colors.xml change to test if that would work vs having to manually edit pngs & 9pngs. It flashes fine but won't boot past the animation.
I probably won't have time to look into it too much this week as I'm going to begin the process of moving, but most of my spare time if not spent working on the rom. Is spent reading about rom related things, and trying to learn as much as I can. Thank guys ?.
Thought I would post an update on the 4 way reboot progress.
I have finally managed to find the right dl links to the latest est smali/baksmali and new commands baksmalied services.jar (formally com.android.policy.jar) and found where to paste the smali resource files. Now as far as I can tell the are rather old. Probably even pre kk not sure. Assuming they work however (Not really expecting it hoping, but not expecting lol). They only issue will be finding the right GlobalAction number for the reboot button. The thread I linked to ealier said something about possibly being able to find it by tracking mreboot (have absolutely no clue.) I'm just gonna try the number listed in the guide, and go from there. If anyone knows how to find it however let me know. Thanks guys. ?
I let my phone go dead last night, and upon recharging my double tap to wake isn't functioning dt2sleep is. As well as google now isn't opening links. It grays slightly, and that's it.
I don't know if they are related, but I'm planning on hopefully releasing a new build with just minor changes. Volume steps mostly. So I may just reflash the boot.img, and see if that helps. If it does I'll make a zip, and post it here in case it happens to anyone.
I know updates have been far, and few inbetween lately. That's because I'm working on some android n dev courses I bought through xda-depot, and having to work a bit of overtime as well.
I haven't given up though just have a lot to do, and too little time to do it in. Lol. Thanks guys.
Edit: I also tried to start it up before charging and it made it to the homescreen with 1% and killed over. So that may also have something to do with it.
Edit 2: I discovered at least one other person was experiencing issues with google now as well, after a few reboots the dt2w starting working just fine. I haven't been able to finish the new build as I'm setting up a new enviroment. Got a desktop pc with a intel core 2 quad cpu 2.4 GHz 2.3GHz
5 gigs of ram, and nvidia quadro fx 570 with 256 mb dvram.
I plan on upgrading this pc quite a bit, but until it exceeds my quadcore laptop. I'll be running linux on my laptop, and windows on the desktop. Now all I need is KVM switch. Once my desktop can handle it I'll probably build with linux on a vm.
In case you're wondering I do all my apk editing/building/coding in windows.
Hey all I was hoping to have a the new build up today, but I haven't been able to make it because after setting up my new desktop the hd went bad so I had to have it replaced. I'm gonna start resetting up tonight when I get off of work. So I'll hopefully have it uploaded by Thursday, or Friday.
Edit: The vm took a little while longer to get set up, but rest assured I'm working on it. I'll get the new build up as soon as I can. Thanks guys.
New build is up guys. Enjoy!

Hi sorry for the late reply. I didn't get a notification, and my computer has been in the shop. Wi fi calling works just fine as far as I'm aware, but let me know if you run into any issues & let me know if you try it out. Thanks!
The loss of my G3's SD slot has curtailed my ROM flashing. No longer able to have half a dozen ROMs running on the phone but I still had enough internal space to try.
TAP runs fine. Data, Bluetooth, WiFi okay. Went through all the settings. All good.
GApps are ancient but that's okay I guess.
Needs some kind of file manager though. I like to setup Google later during ROM testing so I usually need to install certain tools first. Not possible via the ROM's DocumentsUI. I think the only flashable file manager I have is CM's. It might work.
About to flash ROM again with some extras and give 'er a longer test.
Oh, almost forgot. An OTA update of about 75MB came through. Not gonna take it, of course, but was surprised to see it.

So, if anyone can point me to the right direction please do!! I just need a little help to find and maybe make a fix for some problems that I enjoy using from the Emotion OS r22 Rom..
So....after awhile i just gave up and just used the N7 Port instead because I grew tired of.....these issues from Emotion OS and I don't have these in the N7 Ported rom.
====Issues====
Camera Doesn't record in 60FPS or 4K.
Fast Charging doesn't seem to exist in the system , especially when it's selected in the Kernel Auditor.
it reads at Cable Charging, USB Charging but theirs no Fast Charging but I DO see, Charging on AC.
Snapchat Support! - Having to Import Through Titanium, Not every-time but after every install of this Rom if needed be.
Method is to.
Backup the Snapchat Data before hand from a TW Rom that lets me Login, ovbiously because its stock and not rooted it should bypass. OR To Download Snapchat on the Rooted Phone, Uninstall it, Reboot, Login, profit? ,reinstall root.
GPS issues where it eithers locates but doesn't navigate well, doesn't lock, or doesn't work at all.
=-=--SMS-=-=-=
*#*#*# SMS FIX *#*#*#
It doesn't work unless I do that *#*#4636#*#* fix
I use an app called "Advanced Signal Status" and I select
CDMA ONLY or CMDA Auto PRL wait for it to switch and then Select LTE/ CDMA Auto PRL, but as
it can be hassle as i have to do this for every reboot.
And that will be if it only works for 5 minutes then i have to do that fix for it or hjust doing this anyways after every reboot...

All i end up using is Snap,PK GO, Viper 4 Android for Pandora, Spotify, Insta, FB, FB Messenger, SoundCloud, Inkpad, Colornotes, Ifunny, Daily Horoscope, Vaulty, recforge Pro, Scr Pro,Yahoo,Gmail, Drive,Tumblr, teamviewer, Regular music app, and even root explorer as my daily driver. And obivously clearing apps almost immediately when i'm not using it anymore but overall nothing else really. lol And I'm just wishing and hoping for and if theirs a rom like Emotion OS but with Working SMS and MMS and Phone just like the N7 Ported Rom......AS I'm using it right now or aswell as the Camera Ported From the N7 Rom to the Emotion OS Rom.. AS I'm not sure what to do, I want to make a permanent fix or flash able zip instead of having to do the dialer code after every reboot. I was thinking of using the APNS from a working custom rom a.k.a the N7 Port and then trying the Rom after that but I just don't know the information for that, I'm more like the reporting and or reporter and Rom guinea pig lol but I also had wished it would install as fast as the AOSP Emotion OS Rom. But i just yeah I'm not sure, I do have a partition and an extra EFS backup and everythings has been running just fine for me with the N7 Rom.
Do you if anybody would happen to know of a Rom the way I describe it? I am also-up for testings Roms that are in develop as i had made a full list of "Roms in The Graveyard" on my PC but only 2 of them I kept as they are reliable to me for the moment. Stock just doesn't do it for me but deoxdexed has lol and the N7 Port but my phones basically my guinea pig for Rom Testing. and I don't ever use magisk just official Super Su or Super User. but i haven't seen that for along time, since S3 days .lol
