Repairing memory problems through adb?

My p4wifi died on my a few days ago. It kept freezing and then stopped rebooting successfully. I can still get into the recovery system but the factory reset freezes in the process. My guess is that there is some hardware fault in the memory. I know my chances are slim, but is there any way to go through adb and attempt some measures to rescue the device?

[Q] Stuck on APX mode? Any way out?

Hello,
after two days spending to repair my HTC One X without any personal help, I gave up. So, this is the story: since wednesday the 19th, my HOX got some problems. From turning off without any reason through to completly resetting my settings and so on, finally no vital signs any more. Now, it got stucked in APX mode. I've installed APX drivers for the HOX, downloaded nvflash, but whatever I do, nvflash throws error UnKnown device found and then terminates. How I got stuck into APX mode? I don't know neither I know how I get rid of this. Well, there are many many many data on phone, which I just need. I can't send it to HTC because (1) unfortunately I got a crack from the left to the right and (2) I need my data, because I know HTC would just send a refurbished device back to me. Actually, I need this data really and I rely on them.
tl;dr: Is there any possible way to get out of the APX mode without sending it to HTC or to get my data back?
I hope someone could help me with this frustrating and headache giving problem?
Thanks in advance!
Greetings
sweeep

Send the phone in ...you can't get out permanently from it...

Only thing to try is to mount the sdcard via the recovery as a mass storage device. If that doesn't work it's not retrievable. Try rebooting the hox many.....many times sometimes it kicks out of apx but in general it's a no go

Thanks. But how could I, assuming that I got out of APX, mount sd card, if I don't installed ClockWorkMod (?)? I want to keep my warranty, so there is no possible way or am I wrong?
So your phone is completely locked? Send the phone in and state in the letter that it is stuck in apx mode...they will change the motherboard...did the same and got nearly 85% new phone screen was the same...but everything else was new

Yes, you are right. But I have a crack across my display and it is scratched, so I question how HTC/Amazon (my seller) would react.
No one can answer that, it depends all in who's hands it ends up !
I broke even my WiFi and my back housing was a bit cracked and they just changed nearly all...even if your screen is damaged they should fix Mainboard/ Change it because it's under warranty and has nothing to do with the cracked screen
Gesendet von meinem HTC One X mit Tapatalk
Maybe, but HTC can credit the broken mainboard to the (previous) downfall damage. By the way: when I send to my seller, I can assume I have no chance to recover my data?

[HELP] starts and reboot (overheating?)

It started few days ago when my G3 started to reboot itself every now and then
but today it gone beyond, now the phone reboots about 0-10 sec after the home page is appeared it reboots
I formatted dalvik cache+data+system+etc. installed a fresh new firmware 20U
for a while it seemed to be working but it started to reboot again
also I've noticed that the phone becomes very hot, measured at 70C+
also I've removed the sd card and sim card.
any idea what can make it so hot?
I'd the same problem. My g3 reboots alone, without touching anything. I do not know why, but I'm going to flash a tot and test it, if the issue continues I gonna send to sat.

Hard bricked / Semi-bricked or dead Nexus 5x H791

I need help to know if my Nexus 5x is bricked / Semi-bricked or simply consider it as a dead device
I bought it as a new device from Amazon and used it for a quite time (about two months) then decide to Unlock the bootloader and install Cyanogenmod, everything works perfect, but when trying to force the phone to restart cause of à process which turns the phone run slow at this moment the phone restarts but stuck in bootloop, I forced it again but this Time to shutdown and then nothing happens after trying to power it, only red blink when plug it to charging !?
Is there any solution to fix that ?

NOTE 7 N935FD dead after update (not even download mode or charging)

Hello guys,
I just need your help after 2 days of searching on internet about this problem: I just updated accidentally my note 7 firmware and after the process was completed my phone died <=> black screen, not even charging or led blinking while charging and off course it's not entering in download mode/recovery menu.
I don't know what anything else to do, I was thinking to take out the battery and charge it with an universal charger, but I really don't want to unseal the back of this phone.
Did you have any ideas about this problem?
Thank you guys and I am waiting for your proposals.
Cheers !

Is it the first generation or second? Mine first generation is dead after several reboots for 2 weeks. It was definitely a hardware issue for me...

It is the first generation, but it's not a hard issue for sure, because it has been worked just fine till the update..

I am thinking that is something from the firmware witch can control the charging process, something that doesn't allow anymore the arival of the voltage in the acumulator. And I am thinking to charge tha battery separately. But I thought that somebody has experienced already this issue.
Let's say that it will work aftet this charging process and then I will be able to boot in download mode. What firmware should I have to choose to enable the 100% percent of charging process? Is that downgrade possible? Thank.s

The downgrade is impossible from the kill update. The only way to charge 100% it's to install a custom rom [emoji6]

Ok then, I will try to charge the battery and I will flash some custom rom from here. After that I will let you know about the succes or not !

Your phone is recognized by the computer? I mean do you hear the sound when you plug it?

the latest firmware killed your n7 you know, need to charging before update, and rooted then flash custom rom before your battery drop down to zero, mean if your battery 0% you cannot do anything, your n7 dead forever
Bro I had same problem i just fixed by custom ROM . You can put your phone on download mode it's fine
By the way now your phone is working on charger just try different chargers.
Hi guys , just a little info about my note 7 UK n930f experience.. I got the 0% battery kill update and I'm still at a loss on how to fix it because I didn't enable OEM unlock before it died but what I can tell you is even the it looks completely dead I can still get into download mode. ( No led's no battery symbol when charging no boot up or recovery, ) what I did to get it into download mode was :- plug the note 7 into my computer's USB and immediately hold volume down, home and power for 3 seconds then release for 1 second then immediately repeat the process for 5 times and on the fifth time when I release the buttons it shows press up for download or down to restart. Without doing it this way it just won't go into download mode but if I follow those steps exactly I can always access download mode. Very strange, but I hope it helps others... I'm on binary 3 so I can only flash v3 firmware which I believe is the 0% battery kill so can't get my phone started at all gutted

I already fixed a Note 7 from the kill 0% update. I got the 30% firmware you need to recover your Note 7. The 30% is also a v3 firmware. Once you got the 30%, you can install a custom rom or custom kernel to get the 100% battery again [emoji6]

Could you tell.me which is the 30% and where is it?

It's in my personal Google Drive. I searched of it in the web for hours and hours. Now I m glad to share it with you. Remember to use only BL, AP and CP files cause it's firmware from Dubai. You don't need the csc. Happy to help Note 7 users [emoji6]

Good news. First step now : oem unlock, usb debug. Then you can find a custom kernel or custom rom to get back to 100% battery.
Enjoy again this amazing Note 7 ! [emoji6]
