It started few days ago when my G3 started to reboot itself every now and then
but today it gone beyond, now the phone reboots about 0-10 sec after the home page is appeared it reboots
I formatted dalvik cache+data+system+etc. installed a fresh new firmware 20U
for a while it seemed to be working but it started to reboot again
also I've noticed that the phone becomes very hot, measured at 70C+
also I've removed the sd card and sim card.
any idea what can make it so hot?
I'd the same problem. My g3 reboots alone, without touching anything. I do not know why, but I'm going to flash a tot and test it, if the issue continues I gonna send to sat.

I left the phone to cool down and tried to boot it but unsuccefully
I entered TWRP and after few seconds there the phone rebooted again (temp was about 55C)
I'm starting to give up

but the same thing happens one again the phone restarts itself
can it be because of faulty battery?
(I don't have a new one to test)

Maybe Hard Brick ? ... Try Old Methods like While turning on holf on in home volume bottom . maybe works
what?

Reflash the ROM, without wipe. Or just restore your NAND backup.

I able go to the download mode, but only for about 5seconds, then the phone boot automatically..
how can I reflash the Rom if it's like that.
joehanh88 themed GT-I9070
Even I have the exact same problem. Happened randomly 3 days back.
Not able to get into Download/Recovery Mode. And battery also doesn't charge
Not in warranty, so can't go to Samsung.
I was running CM 10.1 when it happened
I just running stock ROM..
I can go to the download mode, but only last for 5 second, then the phone boot automatically again.
joehanh88 themed GT-I9070
Same here. I went to a repair shop - he says it is a Software issue and was charging a high amount for reflashing on his own, and says no guarantees it will work.
So I got it back and am trying on my own
so there is no other way except bring to the repair shop?

I dunno, because if I put the battery, it will directly show the booting even I'm not push the power button.then it keep repeating until the gt-i8150 logo..
is it hard brick? But what cause the brick?
this phone is running all stock..it's weird..

No clue what caused it. It was running smoothly for months before that.
My battery died after bootlooping for a while. Now charging it in another phone and trying
Okay, I got into download mode for enough time to reflash CWM Recovery - No use. After rebooting, bootloop still there.
I got into Recovery mode too - flashed cm 10.1, still after rebooting, bootloop.
The time before loop is random - sometimes can go into recovery/download mode, sometime, just restarts on starts.

or maybe your power chip is broken. but you should get to service center to make sure.

I just bought a new battery, and u don't think the new battery is the problem..but it might, because I'm using power bank to recharge the battery since I can't charge the phone with the provided charger because of I'm in the bus..
plus, my phone warranty already used once..I don't think I can use it for the second time.

I got it to boot, but only once.
I did the following steps :
1) Connected it by USB to PC
2) Started Odin, Flashed latest recovery
3) Went into recovery at the next boot, Installed CM 10.1
4) Phone booted
No battery detected, it says running on USB :S
Next time I rebooted it, again same bootloop.
I feel its a power chip problem. Like some loose connection between charger -> battery and phone.
Anyone else who can help out ?

Hi and firstly. thanks for your help!!
A friend gave me his hox for a repair after he tried putting in a new rom the wrong way...
so ive managed to put the rom he wanted (revolution hd 22) and the phone is now working ok...
calls, data, heavy apps... all works fine.
UNLESS- and thats the awkward part- unless you plug the usb data\charging cable out.
once the usb is out- the phone freezes for 30 seconds> reboots >than works fine for 30 seconds and than freezes whole over again
-this can happen until battery dies.
ive tried putting a new RUU
ive tried different kernels
ive tried wiping anything with fastboot or from the recovery
also tried TWRP and CWM- altough it dosnt even seems to be related
ive tried locking, unlocking, clearing fastboots cache... and NOTHING...
Now, the most weird thing, is when the phone is in recovery mode- it works on battery just fine!!
it can install my roms and kernels ok!
problem only occours when system goes up- than it will work only if its connected.
because of that- i can tell this isnt a hardware problem, and there must be a solution
does anyone has a clue with my issue please?

try a custom kernel...if that doesn't wprk just go into a store or so and ask there what could the issue...if it wasn't there when he had the stock rom on it than he had a really bad flash and it is maybe rom or mainboard problem in some way
Sounds like a power issue. I think its hardware
Yep its maybe HW problem but why he can charge then in Recovery Mode
Solution:Your friend could charge in Recovery Mode and then boot up to the Rom
or you could try another ROM (your last hope ?)
Hey, thanks for helping,
There is no problem with charging it...
Problem is it cant work on battery
Only recovery works with bat power.
When using rom on bat- it freezes.
Edit: oh and one more thing, the phone is almost brand new, it has been used for only one week and worked ok. Until my friend took it to a store here for adding other lang...

Recovery mode is taking less battery power then if you are using it with a rom booted up... Maybe the battery is now broken or the connectors are bad or so...
And what do you mean with adding other lang?

i thought about it, but i think installing a new rom via recovery is taking more power
than just staring at the regular booted screen while its on idle

and i ment my friend wanted to add another os language that didnt come stock (rom change)

But it isnt resonable to determine the phone mainboard is dead, all signs shows its software...
If it helps, the hox makes a long beep, or drawing stripes on the screen sometimes before it restarts, the other times it just freezes.

Hey there,
I finally decided to unlock the bootloader of my Play (now that it isn't my main phone) and I decided to flash Lupus's Kernel. After flashing, I disconnected my phone to restart the phone. However, now, when I try and turn it on, it's just completely dead. No LED lights, nothing. I tried plugging in the charger, doesn't work, plugging it into my PC, doesn't work.
Have I managed to brick it?
EDIT: It vibrates, but still nothing happens. ;d

^He is unable to charge it because it doesn't work.
I'd try taking the battery out leave it for 15 mins putting it back in and try charging again. If that doesn't work then try using a difference charger and if THAT doesn't work then try locking your bootloader then flashing ftf file and then maybe re attempt to unlock the bootloader. Sorry if it sounds like a lot of steps and good luck on fixing it i hope some of my tips help.

I think flashing Lupus caused this to occur, as it ran normally afterwards. I flashed it again later, and the same happened. O_O

I also figered out how to get into flash modenor fastboot mode.
But my the flashmode always stops after about half minute and reconnects, so I'm not able to flash a ftf. I tried to flash it manually, booted to the kernel, then it shuts down.
Then I flashed ICS Beta from Sony, still the same.

Hi all,
I apologize if opening a new thread as first post but I did that after an extensive research and I noticed the questions in the sticky are 4 days old.
I purchased a soft bricked Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML Z00AD for fairly cheap as I needed a decent dual-sim phone.
Initially it was just stuck on the first asus screen and nothing more - not even spinning wheel. It would not go in recovery mode with vol+ and power, nor vibrate.
Tried to adb / fastboot but even when adb was listing the device ok, fastboot would just say "Waiting for device"
Leaving the phone connected to PC I noticed it was rebooting by itself after a few minutes and leaving it alone for about 15 mins it went in a TWRP 3.0.0.0 screen - was probably installed before....
From there I wiped everything and managed to install latest image that I downloaded from Asus site - UL-Z00A-WW-2.20.40.183-user.zip by using an SD card. Nothing else installed
The phone booted up just fine after this - I had some troubles with the Asus Cover screen going on/off every second but I managed to turn it off - proximity sensor and light sensor tested ok. It is not rooted now.
I have a few problem though and I need your expertise and advice.
1. There is absolutely no sound from it. Speaker test in normal and Safe mode stays silent. There is sound through the headset.
2. I does not detect any SIM card in either Slot 1 or 2
2. Screen never goes off unless I press the power button - display set to 1 min and lock to swipe.
3. Storage only shows 16Gb while it should show 64GB
Given the issue described I would suspect this is still a firmware/software issue but I would like someone with experience to confirm and hopefully advise a few steps.
Thanks!
Can you get into bootloader now?
Sent from my SM-T710 using Tapatalk
---------- Post added at 09:26 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:15 PM ----------
I agree that this sounds like a software issue and if it was my phone I would take the following steps.
1. hard reset
2. Download the pre rooted software that shakalaka provides, you'll find it in the thread for flashing from cn to ww in this forum it also gives all instructions for downloading, prep & flashing.
3. Flash through bootloader everything but the bootloader
4. Reboot and it should work fine, this is the procedure I have always had to follow whenever my Zenny won't find the Sim card.
5. Let us know how that worked for you?
Sent from my SM-T710 using Tapatalk
yes I can - TWRP is still active - I installed an older firmware from Asus website - 139 but the cover flicker is much worse and I got it stuck on now
I have to reload it again
Thanks for the tip = I will try that as well if older firmware fails too
Edit - older firmware did not fix anything - trying your route next
EDIT2 - after another 3h on 2 PC's still cant make fastboot to work. I will try tomorrow on another one
What are you getting with fastboot? Error msg? You need to flash .183, if you want to flash earlier you have to change the boot loader to earlier edition

Not term, twrp
Sent from my ASUS_Z00AD using Tapatalk
so far I tried:
UL-Z00A-WW-2.20.40.183-user.zip - the only one usable with the original problems - sound, SIM, storage space, screen
UL-Z00A-WW-2.20.40.139-user.zip - Asus cover flicker makes it aamost imposible to reach the normal screen
UL-Z00A-WW-2.12.40.11-user.zip - not booting - stuck at first android screen then rebooting itself until it goes in TWRP
cm-13.0-20160512-NIGHTLY-Z00A.zip - won't install from TWRP
things got worse though
Used xFSTK - and after a few unsuccessful tries I got stuck on the TV 4 color screen with no bootloader anymore and cannot reach fastboot anymore and TWRP is gone. FW will load in xFSTK but not the OS image - seems problem is more common - and the issue is that there is no proper file with signature for my Z00AD available anywhere.
I tried Asus Flash tool as well - there are only 3 raw images I was able to find but none will match the device and it will not show up.
Also tried Intel Flash tool - That will see the phone but could not find any flash.xml for it.
Now I don't have any way to use adb and will have to wait until a proper droidboot_dnx.img.POS_sign.bin or .raw image is released somewhere...
If I find any other solution I will post it here
I do not understand why you continued to try to flash a zip through twrp, I specifically told you that it would not work and you have now made fastboot, you're only way to solve this problem, inaccessible. If you have any hope of rescuing now it will have to be with flashing the raw image, but frankly I think you have little possibility of that working now.... situations such as yours can almost never be solved with recovery, you almost always have to use fastboot, so good luck, I have no other solutions and you are likely in need of a new device.

I tried to flash original ROM on my OP5, but it wouldn't flash because the oem was unlocked.
I tried to lock the bootloader, but now it says "your device is corrupt and cannot be trusted"
It does not appear in fastboot devices list.
Did I just brick my phone or is there a way around it?
You won't know if it's bricked until you try to continue to get it working. If you have twrp installed, you can try a complete wipe. Then an install of Los I would stay away from op5 oxygen until you try to get it running with Los, then try oxygen following OnePlus directions to the letter.

Brw, that message itself is there due to Google beefed up security harassment about 4 years ago. Can happen just due to unlocked bootloader. Personally I think it, I would not be too worried about it alone .
