Maybe it's something I overlook. But how do I switch between running Apps.
In KitKat, I switched by pressing the home button.
How do I do this in CM13?

It turns out, that you need the change the behaviour of the home button.
Configurations>Buttons.

Long Pressing Home brings up the recently used apps list. Single pressing the button to the right does the same thing, so the long press seems wasteful. I would like to change Home's Long Press action to bring up the application drawer. Is this possible?

Long pressing home on my phone doesn't do that, are you on stock ROM?
I am on a custom rom. I guess this has to be baked into the rom then?

Would think so, don't know if its kernel or ROM dependant.
Hello,
I'm getting used to holding down the home button to switch between current running apps.
The duration to trigger the home button recent apps is longer than I like.
Is there an app/mod/xposed to increase the response time of the home button.
I'm rooted. However, I"m not looking for a whole new ROM to achieve this.
Thank you!

This issue goes all the way back to the SIII. It has to do with S-Voice. If you don't use S-Voice, just turn it off in the settings and the lag will be gone. Personally, I use Dragon to replace S-Voice, and it does not have the lag. Hope this helps.
Hello guys!
I need something to power on phone without using a jig. A rom with working button remap to power on phone, or is there anyway to make volume + button to work when phone is turned off, and actually manage to turn it on?
I have done button remap and it only works as long as phone is turned on.

I would recommend you get a rom with volume wake. There are apps on the google play store that, the one I use is call "Button Savior".
This is assuming that you can get the phone to power up to recovery and flash a working rom. Currently using the CM 10.1 and it's working pretty well for me.

Thanks I downloaded Beanstalk because of 4.4.2 version, It included Volume button wake but. I remap the Volume key to turn on and off screen by editing the key layout files in system. I used this guide of reference: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1696526
Removed faulty switch and use a paper clip to turn on and off the phone.
Paper clip can be stored inside battery cover.
This phone is from my friend which I fixed for him.
Thanks :good:
I cannot lock or wake up the device. HOWEVER, double tapping the power button works. Does anyone know what's going on?

sounds like you installed an app/xposed module/rom/kernel that might be responsible for that, or at least one of it's settings. is that possible?
My phone is completely stock. No mods of any kind.

did you enable "press power button twice to open camera" in display settings? if so, disable it and try again.
Disabling that feature results in a completely useless power button.
Hey, guys. On marshmallow OOS we could do screenshots through the power menu.
This option in power menu seems to be gone now in nougat OOS.
So, since 3finger swipe doesnt work in some apps is there any other system integrated way to take screenshots?
Or do i need third party app for it now?
Volume down + power for a few seconds. Hold it too long though (10 sec) and it will shutdown.

You can enable it in 'Gestures' (where you can enable double tap to wake, draw circle for camera etc)
It should be working, (in settings-gestures), or you could get screenshot by pressing power button + volume down button, it always work for me.
