Hi, I'm always facing the freezed "WiFi turning ON" issue always after flashing a custom kernel. It happens ON ANY ROM.
So Im forced to use stock ROM kernel...
I tried Xcelerate, God's Kernel, Monster Kernel, Carbon Kernel, The Beast, blablabla kernel...
I still have the WiFi stuck on "turning ON".

I also tried all methods of installing kernels. With wipe cache+dalvik, without wiping cache, after installing ROM, or after first ROM boot, etc etc. Always the same WiFi problem. Im installing this kernels in TWRP 3.0.0.0
My actual "stock" governor from my Carbon ROM R3 is a battery-eating monster...
Photos of my current Carbon ROM stock kernel:
My only "smart" choices for governor are Interactive or Ondemand.
Both governors jump on freqs like a monkey.................. From 300mhz to MAX in a split of second...... 30% battery in 1 hour or so :crying:
Can someone help me pls ? thanks...
Both ondemand\interactive (specially interactive) governors goes MAX freq and uses 4 cores while Im doing NOTHING ((((
Monkey governor....:
Try using synapse to change it

I've been doing research for days and still haven't came up with a kernel to use. Im rooted and running cm7 for about 3 weeks. I have been getting random reboots, probably 2-3 a day at random times. Ive tried the wifi sleep to never and that hasn't seemed to fix anything. I have read that switching to a different kernel may fix my problem. And since I have used the stock kernel for the beginning I think its time to change to something fast, stable, and possibly better battery life. So the more the better, but please list the best kernel to use with CM7 and the download link for it. Thanks

Personally I like the incredikernel. Its fairly stable and provides the smartass governor with havs, so you get very good battery life.

So your not having any reboot problems with that kernel?
The problem with CM7 and our device is that Gingerbread uses a 2.6.35 kernel with updated usb drivers, among other things. The inc has only officially been updated to .32.17, so slayher had to backport the necessities to the stock kernel source (stock cm7 kernel). There was an effort by several devs to bring our device out of the dark ages, up to .35 for Gingerbread, and now several have branched off to .37
So, my advice would be to test a couple out. They are all still in beta stages, so it's up to you really.
Hello there, can someone suggest what kernel would add nice performance and some battery life on stock 4.0.4 (yakju biuld) ?
I've read almost all KERNEL threads, and I'm closed to two choices:
1. oo7 kernel
2. FuguMod kernel
What do you think of above? Also, can you provide some scr shots of batt life with kernel which you suggest?
Thanks!
I'm running stock 4.0.4 too. I use franco's kernel. Smooth and great battery life.
Can you put some screenshots of batt usage and display time on if you have?

Here you go. Im using franco kernel too.
- Tapatalked
franco.kernel updater also features a powersave mode - could save some additional percent battery...
LeanKernel FTW.
But this is all based on OUR phones.
And OUR opinions.
Try a few out.
Keep them for at least a day before deciding.
@Trixnix
Good usage. I decided to try bond's kernel and after first cycle I've got 4h 28mins of display.... So, good as franco's as I see
Yep, sure phone is new and ready to be "tortured" with kernels...
My tablet seems to be messed up...
I get constant app crashes even when just browsing, watching a youtube video is almost impossible due to lag and antutu reboots the device or the app crashes and when I get a benchmark done I get this....:

That's almost as bad as the Galaxy Y....
My device is clocked at 2.0gHz(or 1.7 or 1.5 it does not matter)
Trust me I've tried every rom... from kitkat cm11 to stock 5.1 and it's all the same
Is this thing broken?
Restore stock clock speeds, then maybe someone can help? Revert to stock kernel and ROM, replicate. That would be the first order of business.
Save your stuff and perform a factory reset: delete everything, flash the latest 5.1.1 factory image.
I guess you have dirty flashed your ROMs too often ? Some leave thrash behind and some so called "developers" like to use some tweaks which are no use anymore ( and have been made for Android 2 or even older ..)
If your device behaves like this even in a 100% Stock environment, it might be faulty indeed..
Hi,
a question please.
Is out there a custom kernel (or more) for the Miui v5 (Global v50) ROM?

Governor: alucard
I/O: sio
Zzmoove and smartmax seems good also... ill test a few months
No kernels for jellybean......kindly upgrade to KitKat. Those sources had become too old. Upgrade..........
Miui5 is using old base kernel. No possible way to use custom kernel. Usually wifi not working if flash one of them
i was wondering if theres a good tw based rom to improve performance with stock android look with all the s pen features
any help is appreciated
I am using stock romen and just rooted it works like a charm, disabled a bunch of bloatware through Titanium Backup. WAS using Hydra it's rely good too. What Model if your phone?
I tried Hydra 1.1, but i did not like the performance and battery life with it. On the other hand DrKetan's rom is better as of the moment.
BUT there will be a new version of Hydra coming out soon, and from what i gathered the new version fixed the problems that majority of users are having.
do the themes on hydra or dr ketan support stock marshmallow look
I flashed Hydra 1.1.5 this morning and observed the performance the whole day.
It's na AMAZING rom!
Some test scores using the Hydra V1.1.5 rom with the Hydra kernel
Geekbench
