More information would be helpful (firmware version, ARHD version, TWRP version). I suspect that your phone is not updated to the latest firmware, which is required to run the latest version of ARHD.

There's your problem - you must have the Marshmallow updated firmware installed in order for ARHD to boot. You'll need to return to stock and update to the latest software.

Check out this Google Sheet by Flippy498.
You'll need the RUU for your device (HTC__001 translates to the Europe WWE edition). Click on the 'RUU' tab (3rd link from the left in the top row) and read the instructions carefully. It's pretty straightforward.

You are a genius! Thank you so much!

[Q] how to update to least lollipop

hi all
my friend tried to update his phone, and all he's got is:
the phone can't boot into recovery. stuck on "entering recovery"
insert coin rom (v 3.0.8) works fine, except the play store!
i tried to flash a new recovery with no success. finally i flash a twrp by captain throwback version 2.8.0.6, and wow it works!
now, i'm wanna to update his M8 to least android version.
fastboot getvar all:
m8_ul
s-on
CID: HTC__K18
MID: 0P6B10000
HBOOT: 3.16.0.0000
version main: empty
settings >> about >> software information:
android version 4.4.2
sense 6.0
InsertCoin version 3.0.8
build number 1.54.401.10
can i simply flash 4.16.401.10 firmware.zip, least TWRP version, ARHD 34.0 (don't worry i don't forget the boot.img )
or
it's better to return to stock and perform software updates?
by the way,
the build number in settings, is the current firmware.zip that installed? or the firmware that the rom based on??
thank's
i read somewhere that its safer to flash firmwares in row, start at 1.54.401.10 then the others in the x.xx.401.xx line
you can also try simply to flash the latest RUU. maybe you get some wifi errors.
i was on 3.xx.401 firmware and installed the 4.x DEV RUU without any errors
yeah the build number in settings shows the rom base.
ok, thanks

so, i cannot know the exact firmware he has..
i'm asked that because the safest way to update is going back to stock. i found only 1.54.401.5 NAND Backups.
i'm afraid to flash the wrong nand backup..
how can i know which firmware he has?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2701376
If you want to go the save way Try the 1.54.401.x RUU.exe from the thread. Then you should be fine to apply the otas
Dont be to afraid from flashing wrong files in most cases your phone wont get bricked it just dont boot up

Version main is empty because of the older recovery. Try to flash TWRP 2.8.4.0 again.
You can't flash the firmware zip without being S-Off. Sunshine is the only way to do it now, and it costs $25 (totally worth it). Or you could return to stock and take the OTAs. (stock ROM and recovery plus unmodified system partition)
The build number in settings is in fact the ROM base, and not the current firmware version.

first thanks for your help!
i will try this tomorrow .
on my m8 I bought sunshine (totally worth it) agree
but before i have s-off i'm flashed new firmware.zip (you have to relock your bootloader)
s-off lets you to flash firmware.zip without Signature and without relock
look at this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2696282

Another part of the problem is that HTC updates incrementally. You can't just leap frog from 4.4.2 to 5.0.1.
Once you get S-Off, you can flash a firmware zip from this thread. @Sneakyghost makes his firmware packages so that you don't have to flash each update one at a time. You can just jump to the newest.
But.....from the readout on the earlier post, it is WWE and there is an RUU for that. It is signed, so it should work. It will only get you to 4.4.4. (3.28.401.9 is the newest on this thread). You could try to flash the Lolly firmware after you have updated to this.

Reverting back to stock from LeeDroid

Hi,
I recently bought a HTC One M8 and I'm realizing now the phone is running a custom ROM called LeeDroid, upon research I find out it's a pretty awesome ROM.
However, I would love to go back to the stock version that HTC provides.
It's currently running the following:
Android Version: 5.0.2
HTC Sense Version: 7.0
Software Number: LeeDrOiD_One_M8_S7_V7.4.2
I'm kind of a newbie. If anyone could please guide me back to stock which would also allow me to receive OTA updates it would be highly appreciated.
Many thanks in advance.

Ok, so this is what I've done so far.
My CID using the CID Getter app off the Play Store was showing: 11111111
I then followed instruction on this site to get my MID: 0P6B12000
Using that MID number on the thread you mentioned, I understood there were two versions of the TWRP Backup, one was 4.16.1540.8 and the other 4.17.1540.9 - I downloaded the later version, is that ok?
I then downloaded the corresponding number under Stock Recovery Collections.
Afterwards I downloaded the relevant TWRP [2.8.7.0 as it says the latest version for the TWRP Backup 4.xx.xxxx.x].
Am I on the right track? Could you dumb down the next steps?
Much appreciated.
If those are your CID & MID, suggest that you get the 4.17.1540.9 RUU instead of going thru nandroids.
4.17.1540.9 backup may not the right one for your device, 4.16.1540.8 is better choice. But 4.17.1540.9 RUU is the best.
Try to search for that RUU or I'll get you the link when I'm home later (in 2 hours)

When you say flash the stock recovery, you mean the 11th step here yes?
Also, why would I update using TWRP? Sorry I'm a little confused.
Thanks
He means that when you perform an official OTA with TWRP it won't work.......bricking the device certainly won't happen. It maybe doesn't boot up that's all (that's certainly NOT a brick) so a reflash of the OS is needed.
You can ONLY perform official OTA with the stock HTC recovery !

It seems like you have an incompatible bootloader installed.
Try this guide if you can boot into fastboot. Make sure you follow the step-by-step to the letter:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/development/progress-fuu-m8-t2813792
For going back to stock, download WIPE ZIP files.

No offense, I know you mean well, but I think you need to learn more before giving advice. You gave some incorrect (dangerous) advice in another thread. And you aren't giving correct advice here either.
The OP probably has a ROM that is corrupt/damaged. There is nothing to indicate that anything is wrong with the bootloader. And no reason to assume "incompatible bootloader", whatever that is (where did you get that info from???).
Flashing firmware won't get the phone booted to OS (not in itself). In fact, flashing firmware (with s-on), by definition expects an RUU to be run, in order to boot again.

This is the correct path, as I don't think Vodaphone version has RUU. But I'm still curious what you meant, when you said "previous os was a developer version" as that may be relevant.
Are you sure you followed all the instructions exactly? What version TWRP did you use?

No Sim Card After Flashing Firmware?

Hello All,
Mostly a newb to the flashing process for the HTC10 but I've read a lot of the firmware flashing posts etc. Using these posts I successfully debranded a phone from Mexico, using SunShine etc. All was fine until I wanted to try to upgrade the firmware to the latest version. Here's my info:
Code:

CID-HTC__001
MID-2PS620000
ColorID-BLK00

OS-2.41.401.41
Aug 2 2017, 12:18:15(857212)
So I've upgraded this firmware using the guide (https://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-10/how-to/2016-05-27-fastboot-flashing-firmware-t3387520) and then flashed the latest TWRP, using it to wipe the system and re-install my OS (Pure Fusion OS latest, https://download.purefusionos.com/roms/pme/testing-o/). However after flashing, it no longer detects my SIM Card, asking for it to be inserted. I've tried re-flashing the Full Stock and NoWipe versions of the firmware to no avail.
My question is, have I bricked my phone? I've tried flashing the stock 2.41.401.41 via TWRP and via zip but it won't get past the logo screen. It gets past "upgrading apps" but then just shows the HTC logo permanently. I can tell it's reached the OS because I can lock the screen and unlock it, but there are no menus.
What else can I try?

Did you format data in twrp? Not wipe but format. Twrp-wipe- advanced-format- type yes. If that still doesn't work flash this RUU https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=213105
rename the zip to 2PS6IMG.zip
Place on external SD card
Boot to download mode
Press vol up to flash.
Ruu will erase your internal storage. Once you have stock running with everything working then you can try flashing ROMS. also it might tell you to OTA update to Oreo after that ruu so you might want to make sure that purefusion boots with Oreo firmware before taking the OTA
You sir are a god amongst men ; I am tempted to search out your other posts so I can give you more 'thanks' votes. The new software did the trick, and I found out that I wasn't waiting long enough for the green "HTC" logo to go away. Cheers!
I have the same problem. After installing the software does not see the SIM card. I tried to clean and format but it did not help.

It does not work because you flashed an OREO rom (leedroid) on your NOUGAT firmware. That's a no go. Now you need either to upgrade to OREO or erase the persist partition. Check the GUIDE section and look for the downgrade thread, the specific fastboot command is given there.

Help with Restoring Stock Android on HTC 10 CID: HTC__060 RUU 3.18.400.2

Hi guys, I need help in restoring my HTC 10 to stock android and the problem is I can't seem to find any RUUs or TWRP backups for my OS version. I was stupid enough NOT to do a TWRP backup myself.
I'm currently on PureFusion OS Android 8.0 but the homebutton/fingerprint doesn't work. I checked their forums and it says i have to downgrade back to Stock Android 7.0 then flash PureFusion 8.0 again. Problem is, I'm stuck at the downgrade part!
Link: forum.purefusionos[.com]/threads/purefusion-on-htc-no-sim-detected.10/
I have the exact same problem with the OP on the post, but I solved my sim issue by restoring a stock recovery.
Anyone can help me find a suitable RUU or TWRP backup for OS ver 3.18.400.2 and CID HTC__060?
Much appreciated.

I have the exact same problem with the OP on the post, but I solved my sim issue by restoring a stock recovery.
Anyone can help me find a suitable RUU or TWRP backup for OS ver 3.18.400.2 and CID HTC__060?
Much appreciated.

Boot to download mode and it will say your firmware version next to OS. RUU won't flash if your downgrading while S ON.

My firmware is 3.18.400.2
I tried using Sunshine tool to turn S-Off but it wont work in PureFusion. Any ideas how to work around this?

Sorry but no. Not sure why sunshine won't work.
Purefusion is probably to modified. Try maximus rom, it's as close to a stock sense rom you can get. S-off with that rom as driver and sunshine will likely work
