[LOOKING FOR TESTER] Unlock Bootloader without Unlock Token

Hello guys.
When you use htcdev.com to unlock your bootloader, you will have to provide a device identifier to HTC. Then you get an unlock code.
This way HTC knows you have unlocked, or at least tried to unlock your phone.
What I am looking for is someone with a completely unmodified HTC Wildfire S (factory state). So it must be S-ON and never have been unlocked before. Best would be a brand new Wildfire S.
What do I want to test?
Dump the /radio and the /misc partition before and after several events
---- on an unmodified WFS
---- on an umodified WFS having installed the HTCDEV RUU
Then we will try to unlock the phone without getting the unlock token from HTCDEV.
If that works we will again dump some partitions to see what has changed.
As you may probably be new to this with an unlocked phone I will guide you to all the steps needed. There is nothing to worry about your phone. If it does not work we will make your phone as it was before.
I look forward to getting help in this matter. If it works out this will make the unlocking process easier and will keep your warranty.

i guess you couldn't, since this is meant for the wfs not sensation and that sensation and wfs are completely different

In china you unlock your HTC phone don't need to unlock token，just a tools，and click unlock，and then your phone unlocked.very east and fast,no body know that？

Need some help unlocking/branding this old phone!

I know this is an old phone but my mother was complain about it so I told her I'd see what I could do, the usual method of unlocking the phone via htcdev does not work, just gives me code is to long error, so I turned to the forums looking for way to unlock and root the phone, all I want to do is install CM 10.1 but since I can't even get it unlocked, and it will not downgrade with RUU is come to ask if anyone here is still alive is there a still working method with active links to I can get the job done?

Well first I tried unlocking it via HTC dev but it would not take the code, so I came to the forums and seen that first I have to debrand it, so I'm stuck at debranding since the phone will not allow the firmware to be downgraded, which i learnt then that id have to force downgrade h-boot so I can downgrade the firmware, thats where im at, stuck at debranding -.-

You don't require to debrand to unlock IMHO...............go word by word on the instructions on HTCdev.com, Just proceed to the steps since you have an unlockable bootloader

[Q] S-Off process failed ( With Firewater )

I tried gaining s 0ff on my international htc one m8 with the method of firewarter but it couldnt be successful as it showed failed error on the last final result after whole process was done. i did exactly same as shown in this turtorial but still it didnt work at last. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--Hlms1BuPg , are there any other ways of gaining so off on htc one m8 int: ? plz guide

There isn't any other way. Firewater (free) or Sunshine ($25). If firewater fails then your only option is sunshine or s-on

Yeah that's correct.
Good thing you posted there, I didn't even notice that I typed wrong info in wrong thread. I thought that it was the thread where someone asked about unlocking his device and I mentioned Sunshine in there as well.

HTC One M9 Unlocking Bootloader and Rooting Help

I recently got my HTC One M9 and I wanted to root it. The first step to rooting it on all of the guides that I've seen is that you have to unlock the bootloader. Whenever I try to unlock the bootloader I get to the point where I use the CMD to use "fastboot oem get_identifier_token" but I don't get the string of letters and numbers instead I get this:
(bootloader) [KillSwitch] : /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/frp
(bootloader) [KillSwitch] Last Byte is 0X00, disable unlock
(bootloader) [KillSwitch] oem unlock Turn Off!
OKAY [ 0.063s]
finished. total time: 0.063s
I have developer mode enabled but the Turn OEM unlocking on option does not exist on my phone. Is there anyway to get that option without already having your phone rooted? Or is there a way to root your phone without an unlocked bootloader? Any help would be extremely appreciated but keep in mind that I have never done this before so being as specific as possible would be very helpful.
EDIT: So the way I unlocked the boot loader is with this website, it costs 25$ but worked easily. http://theroot.ninja/

That is the guide that I tried to use, unfortunately I think that one of the newer software updates disables the OEM options, or maybe my service provider (which is verizon by the way)

I believe that Verizon doesn't support boot loader unlocking. Only solution is to get s off with a xtc2 clip.

So instead of trying to do the unlocking myself I found a program to do it for me called "Sunshine." I will try and see if this will unlock the bootloader and post back so this could help someone else in the future.

Yeah sunshine can get u s off, but you need root to complete the process

HTC One m9 relocked and will not unlock

Good morning, My HTC One M9 is relocked and I cannot unlock keeps coming up with (bootloader) kill switch : disable then failed (REMOTE:unlock token Verify fail !! Can anyone please help is s-off and rooted assistance would be awesome cheers also is debugging enabled and developer unlocked

Are you using you old unlock token? You will need to go through the HTC dev procedure to get a new one if you are.

Yes the old unlock token do I have to get a new one thought I could use the same one

I actually tried to go for a new code last Nite and it said incorrect details when it was exactly what it was and tried that twice which has left me in the dark now as I am s-off and need to be unlocked 2

Then you're copying the Wrong info, make sure you have all the little <<<<<< >>>>>>'s and make sure there is no spaces in front or behind them.
