Watch Face Weather Dial Sometimes Shows Dashes - Moto 360

Hello all,
Does anyone else use the Interactive Dials watch face to get weather from stock Android Wear? I've been having a long-running issue with mine.
Basically, the weather dial will turn to dashes sometime overnight, and won't return until after I've been on the move and arrived at work. When it's showing the dashes, and I click on the dial to try to update the weather, I get an error stating that weather is not available and to check my location settings. My location settings are on high accuracy, so I don't know what else could cause it.
I've found a couple of workarounds from Reddit, mainly to either re-assign the dial to Weather again, or to download third party watch faces. I was wondering if you guys came across this and found a resolution for the native weather dial?
I was hoping the Wear MM update would fix this, but apparently I didn't...
I am running a custom ROM, Pure Nexus. Maybe that has something to do with it.

I've also had this issue. Very annoying and quite stupid that I have to reboot my watch every day for it to fix it.

Same issue with my 360, very annoying. Does anybody know how to resolve. Phone is in accuracy mode not battery saving. Android wear has permission to access location.

easiest temp fix i could find was just choosing a different watch face, then changing back.
So annoying.

"Add a note" phone cards not going away

I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this, if it's normal behavior and if there is a way to correct it.
When I get a phone call, I get the standard caller ID. When I take the call, it changes to the "add a note" card with the caller id image in the background. But when I hang up (from the phone) this card never goes away. If I'm in the office with the watch on the charger in my living room and take a call, I can go in there an hour or two later and that card is being displayed in full brightness in the charger. This is a bit fo a pain, especially if I'm sitting on the couch with the watch in the charger and take a call.
It seemed to me that when I first got the watch, this didn't happen; when I hung up the call, the display would go back to my watch face. I was hoping that once the Lollipop update came through (which seemed to take forever to come) it would go back to the original behavior but it hasn't.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
Is this by design? Is there anyway to either make it go away on call end or stop it from displaying at all?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
So nobody? I'm the only one in the world experiencing this?
Same here
I am also facing this issue and haven't found solution till date. At first I thought one if call recorder app is causing this , still no luck even after removing that app.

My ultimate solution was to buy the Huawei watch. I never could determine the cause which survived every fw upgrade. Between that and the miserable battery life, it was the right decision. The Huawei is better in every way for me and two months into it, I still haven't run the battery out once.

I am also experiencing this and wonder has anyone come up with a solution?

New user needs help!

Hi ALL,
I just got my ZW yesterday and although there was a fair amount of frustration initially I think I'm getting the hang of it. I do have small wrists so its kind of big, but I think its livable. I have a few questions I hoping to get some answers to.
It is paired with an LG Volt running Kit Kat 4.4.2 and the ZW got updates to Android OS 5.1.1.
1. Part of the frustration I had yesterday was in connecting to my phone. I had already installed the Android Wear and Zenwatch apps on my phone and I started both and then turned the ZW on for the first time and it did connect reasonably soon. It updated and then I played with it for a while powering both down to see what would happen. But then I had hard time re-connecting and ultimately had to do a factory reset and the ZW updated again and at least it did connect. Now when I want to use the ZW I power on the phone, start the A-Wear app and then power up the ZW. The last several times it did connect but took a minute or so. My question is this all normal operation for the ZW and have others had to do a factory reset?
2. One thing that really bothered me was that when the ZW was connected all the sounds on the phone (like the sound when you tap on an icon) were very low, almost silent. Even when I powered down the ZW the sounds were still very low. I had to restart the phone to restore the proper sound level. BUT . . . this morning I tried everything out before writing this and the ZW connected and the tapping sounds on the phone are FINE!!! This is not what it was doing yesterday! Has anyone seen this behavior?
3. When an incoming call comes in the ZW displays the caller ID and if its in my contacts their name and picture - this is what I really wanted in a watch. Then you can swipe to the red to send the call to voice mail or swipe to the green to connect the call. Once connected there are three screens: Mic, Speaker and Hang up. Tapping on the Mic draws a line though it and mutes the mic. But tapping the Speaker also draws a line through it but that TURNS ON THE SPEAKER, just the opposite of the Mic. Is this a bug?
4. Lastly, from the clock face, when I swipe to the left the first screen are the apps. The third screen is the Google Now stuff. But the second screen says: No contacts found - Add contacts to contacts app on phone. But I have plenty of contacts in the app on the phone and when a call comes in the ZW correctly shows the called ID info from my contacts. Is there another place I have to enter the contacts on the phone?
Thanks in advance for anyone who can help me out!!
Gerry
1. I definitely have seen some delay between connecting the Zenwatch and my phone (Zenfone 2), sometimes I have to fully close the Android Wear app and reset the BT connection before it reconnects, usually if I reboot either the watch or phone, or if I separate the pair too far, and the connection is dropped. I did, at one point have to do a system wipe, but it's gotten better over the updates.
2. It might be that your phone is trying to route sounds to the ZW as an audio device (not too sure about this one, since I leave my phone on vibrate at almost all times).
3. The call control is pretty buggy, since it's not Android Wear native, it's an Asus made app. It's kind of weird, if I tap the speaker button, it doesn't reflect it on my phone, but it turns on speaker anyways, and if speaker was already on, it also draws a line through the icon on the watch. Hopefully they fix this in a future update.
4. I believe you need to have your contacts synced with your Google account, because I think incoming calls just read off of what the phone says.
Hi itechnoguy,
Thanks for the input. First off I just wanted to say that I ordered the Zenwatch 2, but not for its new features. My wrist is kind of small and the original ZW was just way to big on it. So I ordered the smaller ZW 2 and I'm hoping it fits better.
As far as my questions:
1. Before I decided to get the ZW 2 and was still playing with the ZW it did seem to connect more reliably. So maybe the ZW 2 will connect even better!
2. I don't know why it did that but the last several times that the ZW connected the phone's sounds were normal!! Strange!
3. Yeah, I kind of figured that.
4. Once I get settled with thee ZW 2 I'll play with Google some more to see if that helps.
Again, thanks very much for your comments.

I have the same problem. But I've gotten answers from several people that the contacts on you phone are NOT the contacts that will show up in the contacts on the watch. It seems that you have to add contacts into Google somewhere and frankly I really haven't looked into it any further. I think if you go into you Gmail account on the web there is some place to enter contacts and perhaps they will then show up on the watch.

Notifications don't show up on my watch

I'm using Samsung Galaxy S6 paired with Huwei watch. The notifications for all apps (messenger, whatsapp, inbox, etc.) do not show up on the watch. Only calls show up on the watch. The voice command (ok google) works also fine. So the connection is good and stable. None of the apps are blocked. If I do factory reset everything works fine, but only for a couple of days. Then I have the same problem again. Does somebody know what is going wrong and what I can do to fix it? Thanks in advance!
Do you have an app installed, that interferes with notifications, e.g. "Do not disturb"-apps, that enable and disable notifications under certain conditions?
This behavior is not a common problem (at least none of which I've heard of or experiencing myself), so I assume it has something to do with configuration/apps on your phone.
Another thought: Maybe you are using an app that causes a problem with the notification system on the watch (e.g. due to a software bug). So maybe this app somehow breaks the notification queue after it is received by the watch.
Maybe this app will notify only every couple of days and after it does you're not signaled any further notifications.
So just think of the apps you have installed. Which apps are not very common and do not notify every day? Block the notification to the watch of this app(s) and see if the problem still occurs.
I am using only the build in "do not disturb" function at night. Other than that no apps have a do not disturb function enabled. I will try to block various apps as you proposed. I'll start with clean master. There is a function on Samsung Galaxy S6 that allows to switch on notification access for various apps. It was off for huawei wear but on for andorid wear. Although I'm not using huawei wear this might have caused the problem. I have switched it on! Let's see if it helps! Thanks!
I can switch back to my S6 if you cant find out. Just post and let me know. I havent used it in a while.
Thanks guys, but I figured it out. Allowing huawei wear to access the notifications solved the issue!
How did you do? I mean how can I allow Huawei Wear to access notifications?
Thank you, I have the same problem...

You have to allow the Notification from the phone. I think it varies depending on your Android version. For me it's Settings- Notifications- Notification Access- then allow whatever you want to get i.e. Android Wear, Huawei Wear, etc.

Is the GT 2 really this limited, I must be missing something?

Just got myself a GT 2 - love the hardware and just hope I will be able to live with the software. There are a few thing I haven't found, can you please let me know if I'm missing something?
Is there no way to adjust the step goal per day? It is set to 10.000 steps and I want to change it.
Can't I receive notifications while in the workout mode, like a walk och running?
If I get a notification on my phone and delete it from the phone it is still visible on my watch. And if I delete a notification on my watch it is still visible on my phone. This can't be right?
Is there no way to see coming calendar entries?
I got a Gmail but could only see the subject and sender, nothing of the content?
Is it likely that more features will be added, maybe when GT 3 is released?
After an update incomming phone calls do not show up on my watch. And in the list in the Health app I can no longer enable notifications from "Phone". Anyone else with this issue?
Would really appreciate if someone could comment on the above.
Thanks a lot!
You're right, hardware is great, software is limited.
#1, change step goal in Health app on phone (settings, goal).
#2-5, unfortunately correct.
Having said that, I'm wearing this watch since December, day and night, only taking out during shower. I have latest Samsung watches, have few Wear watches, like all of them, but GT2 just looks great and does just enough job (tell time and show notifications). I've loaded multiple custom watches and love it.

Thanks @ddavtian! I have been through every single menu without finding step goal, can you please help me find it? I consider myself as a "power user" so this is really embarrassing
Health app: Me, Settings, Goal
There you can set weight and steps goals
6. I do jot think so.
7. What firmware version are you on? Did incommig call work correctly before update?

Wow, that one wasn't there until I switched to English language on my phone. Now it was there and I could finally change it. What a bug
Regarding incoming call I cannot even find "Phone" under notification settings in the long list of all available apps. It worked just fine when I got the watch a week ago. Do you have "Phone" in the app list in the Health app under "Notifications"?
Firmware: 1.0.6.32
Health app version: 10.0.5.317
No, if you gave Health app permissions, it will do its work, no need for separate settings, just watch needs to be connected to phone via bluetooth.

Reposition status icons on watch face

Hi all,
I've just bought a new phone and pairing my Smartwatch 3 with it is causing multiple issues, firstly it wouldn't sync all my apps, having to push them over manually via ADB after having updated Google Play Services, but the other issue is, I used to know the way to move the status icons (e.g. charging, no cloud etc.) to different positions on my watch screen. Currently it's at the top in the middle, but I want it on the top left as that's where I used to have it with my old phone. I've looked through all the settings in the Wear OS app and my watch face app (I'm using a modified watch face via Facer). Does anyone know how I amend this? It's been bugging me for the past day or so and I can't figure out how I did it with my previous phone.
Many thanks,
I didnt had problems moving the icons in facer, did you find a way to fix it ?
No, I haven't yet. Can you tell me where you found the option as I'm struggling. Would greatly appreciate the help.
