Hi guys,
i bought the secondhand sony smartwatch 3 today and i have a problem with connection
The phone does'nt detect the watch. when i am running Android Wear app and seek watches, phone doesn't detect my smartwatch.
i trying reset watch. not helped.
Please help.
Did you go through the Android Wear app's pairing process? After a factory reset the watch guides you through the steps on how to pair with your phone. Also check that the watch isn't paired as a regular bluetooth device first (forget the device in bluetooth settings of the phone before trying to setup via android wear)
You definitely need to factory reset the watch in order to begin the correct pairing sequence with your phone, if you haven't already done so.

I am having problems keeping the watch connected to my phone. Android Wear will report it's connecting... then disconnect very quickly. It will repeat this cycle over and over. On the watch, it shows a little cloud icon with a slash thru it, pulling up Google Now reports the watch is disconnected.
My phone reports it is paired with the watch via bluetooth and the radio is turned on. I tried changing my wifi access to use my 5G radio instead of 2.4 but that didn't help. No other bluetooth devices are paired with my phone or with my watch. Phone is a Galaxy Note 2 running Android 4.4.2. Any suggestions that I can try?
I have this as well with my GS4.
are you having this issue when the phone is near you or like say across the house from you?
I got my watch yesterday.
Problem occured with out of the box firmware (4.4.4). I manage to reconnect and connect last enough to update to 5.0.2. ANd there I was hoping it will be good. But unfrontunately no. I still have the problem.
I have a galaxy note 4 (N910F) on Lollipop. I reset factory my phone and the watch. I have stil random disconnections. And when disconnected, It is hard to made the watch reconnect. Didn't have any problem with my LH watch R.
Kind of disappointed by the Moto 360 (a colleague with a one plus one and the same watch doesn't have such problems.
Really don't know mess things up.
What a burden to have to reset the watch each time we need to connect to a new mobile / reconnect to the current one.
They should have add an option to connect / disconnect
I managed to get my Zenwatch set up for the first time with my Galaxy S4 (running Lollipop 5.0.1) yesterday, but following an OTA update on the watch (to 5.1.1) the battery life seemed awful (about 8 hours), so I tried a factory reset of the watch. Since then I have struggled to get the phone to re-connect to the watch.
I've tried another factory reset of the watch, and un-installing the Android Wear and Asus Zenwatch Manager apps from my phone, but the Android Wear app will not connect to the watch - it just hangs at "Connecting..."
I did manage to manually pair with the watch using Bluetooth Settings on the phone, and this got the Android Wear app connected, but I was still unable to connect the Asus Zenwatch Manager app to the watch, and the clock on the watch was showing 1 hour behind (my local time is BST), and I wasn't receiving any notifications on the watch.
So I factory reset the watch again, uninstalled and re-installed Android Wear on the phone, and I'm back to the situation where the Android Wear app will not connect to the watch.
Any ideas??
I occasionally have that problem, reboot the phone and watch and all is well again.

Unfortunately a phone reboot didn't do it for me. I found that "forgetting" the watch from the Android Wear app, then a factory reset of the watch, got me reconnected to the Android Wear app, but I still couldn't get the Asus Zenwatch Manager to connect to the watch.
Re update again, i find it update are downloaded in the watch and waiting for us to execute, just go to setting on your watch and choose about, then software update. there must be and update waiting and you can just touch update... it works with me... just make sure you check software update regularly if this problem happens. it just need to most update android wear to be installed and will connect with the latest zenwatch manager
hope this help
recently I've bought ASUS zenwatch. But after pairing with my Lenovo P780 running on Kitkat 4.4.2, it's keep disconnected and cannot connect.
I have check my Google Play Service, Google Now, and all programs need to be updated, all checked.
I tried to reset device my zenwatch 5 times, and still after pairing with my P780 it will disconnected. The Initialization was running and the Setup done on my zenwatch, but in my android wear on my phone just gets status Updating. And finally Android wear in my phone just says "Trying to connect" .
I also try to bluetooth connect with manual connect from both my phone and zenwatch, and stll after pairing request, it's just disconnected.
what should i check now? :crying:
In the android wear app dropdown menu select disconnect from zen watch, then reconnect from the same menu

still no luck. :crying:
I try to connect it with my brother's Xiaomi Redmi Note, it's connected flawlessly. Then i try do system update my zenwatch to Build 5.0.2, but still i can't connect to my phone.
I think the problem is in my phone, i had it flash manually twice, now it's running on Build P780_ROW_S228_150112 KitKat 4.4.2 , but i don't see any issue about my phone after i flash it, except for this Zenwatch issue. I had it well connected with earphone bluetooth.
What should i check about in my phone regarding this issue?
Uninstall Android wear and ZenWatch manager, forget the phone on Bluetooth. Factory reset the phone and start the process from scratch. Make sure you disable the Wi-Fi option when reinstalling Android wear.

I read on other forum, it seems the trouble is in Kitkat version on Lenovo P780. Other people using same phone cannot connect to any android wear (moto 360, sony smartwatch, LG watch). Temporary solution is to use custom ROM for Nexus 5 chinabase version.
Hello everyone. I'm new here. I don't know if there is a topic similar with my issue but my smartwatch sony 3 can't connect with the internet and with the android wear app. Yesterday it was working well with my android tablet, but then I pair with another android smartphone and I can't connect it again with my tablet. It says on the smartwatch that is connected but then it shows "Just a minute..." and on the android tablet "checking for updates... this may take a few minutes". After a few minutes it shows on the smartwatch "can't connect to the android wear app on your phone. Swipe for some tips."
I have done the downgrade of the smartwatch to LWX48P version because I want to update to LCA43 to use NFC with freestyle libre because I am diabetic. Please help me, and thank you so much for your patience.
Best regards from Portugal,
Catarina
Greetings. Perhaps the problem you are having is the switch. Your watch can only be connected to one host device (phone/tablet) at a time. In order to switch you need to disconnect it from the device and set it up as a new device on the new one. This will trigger a wipe (at least of /data). There may be an app to make the switch easier, but I am not sure.
Good luck.

Just a hunch, but you probably need to disconnect it from Android Wear on both devices, then remove Bluetooth pair from both devices in Bluetooth settings, then reset the watch to factory settings, then start with a clean slate.
But previous poster is correct, you cannot pair it with 2 devices, which is really annoying, so pick one device only, and you can't switch from one to the other, and then back again.

Thank you so much for your reply! It works if the smartwatch has the latest version ! But the main question is that with the LWX48P version I can't connect with my tablet. But I need to update to LCA43, and without internet I can't do it. I searched for a OTA version of LWX48P to LWX49K to LDZ22D and finally to LCA43 to make the upgrade manually but I can't find it. Can you help me please? Thank you!

**Update... Problem solved by doing a full reset on my watch. Also, apparently the Huawei app no longer supports the HW1 as well.
I had to do a hard reset on my LG Stylo 3 the other day and today I find that I cannot install a different watch face from my WatchMaker app because the watch is not connected to the Wear OS app. The watch is connected to my phone via Bluetooth and WiFi but the Wear OS app cannot find it. It will not connect to the Huawei Wear app as well. I have reset the BT connection as well as did a re-pairing of the watch to the phone as well. I hope one of you has a solution for this as I am out of ideas other than doing a full reset on the watch. Thanks for any help on this.
