i like to share my experience on beanstalk kitkat , i was using c-11 alot of bugs is there and like to say thanks to whome are trying to solve it and recently release 6th version update but about 2 hours back i installed beanstalk in art and later flash with minimal google gapps so far working perfect and main thing for me that network signal has much improve like there was no signal in corner of my hall with c-11 but now i m getting signal ,this is my experiance on this rom in these afew hours and of-course alot of new things added to setting that you should try it i think it worth to go for this instead of c-11 . so far working perfect let see its bug's later , good job , thanks
Yes the ROM is realy good but Android OS and Googel Play Service needs 15-18% battery. I hope MrGezz can fix that.
:fingers-crossed:
agree with you. beanstalk is a great rom. only the battery bothers me a little. when my phone is standby, most battery is used by clock.
thanks for developers:good:
I want a stable ROM for my younger brother's WFS, i tried to do some search but found tons of them, thus didnt had time to read everyones working and not working list, so please i need your kind suggestion, looking for a simple ROM which has gud battery life + small size...

It always depends on your usage.................
Stock rom is probably not bad option for stability and battery life.........You can also try sense 3.5, it has been stable for me............CM10 is also stable(Though battery life is a bit low) and I am using it now.............and CM10.1 by OWLTeam is also a good option(Battery life is good, mostly stable though has a few bugs(WiFi Hotspot and photo editor)).
Hi There,
I noticed we are not supposed to ask questions about "the best ultimate mega rom", or anything similar. I hope this thread, however, is different enough to not violate those rules..
What ROM would you suggest as a good daily driver? I do not need the fastest rom, or the newest android version. I just need to flash something on my Arc so my sister can use the phone for few months without a need for any troubleshooting from my side.. She wants working texting and calling, snapchat, facebook, whatsapp, wifi, camera, music player. She doesn't care about bluetooth, or video recording, or radio. Here are my findings so far:
Official gingerbread is too old.
Official ICS is too slow, even after cleanup (removal of some unnecessary official apps).
I tried some LegacyXperia-based roms, and they were amazing EXCEPT battery life was 4-5 hours even if the phone was not in use.
What would you suggest? Perhaps an older build of Cyanogen Mod? If yes, which one? Any ROM that is reasonably fast and stable would be OK, as long as it is ICS or newer.
Thank you!
Legacy Xperia ROMs are good, you just need to tweak the ROM such that it doesn't use up a lot of battery

You're right.
As I don't care about latest android (well I do, but my sister doesn't), I have used LegacyXperia cm10.2 release version: cm-10.2-20140303-RELEASE-LegacyXperia-anzu
She is running it only for a day, but so far it seems remarkably stable and battery life seems good enough to last a day. I will report back here if anything changes, but so far so good!

CM10.1 is stabler & more battery than 10.2 . else theres not much other. or choose KK cm10.2 isnt best choice (if then better use 10.1)
Legacy Xperia CM 11
I'm using Legacy Xperia CM 11 with Android KitKat. It's pretty good. Many issues are resolved. Previously I used CM 10 nightly, the new one is way better than that. And the KitKat is light weight. But battery usage is kinda high.
Maybe you should try Ultimate HD, now version 5.0.1 but version 6.0.1 will be available soon. I have experienced nearly all custom ROMs for Arc and Ultimate HD seems the most stable Rom, good battery life, app compatibility, ... Cyanogen Mod is good but it has problem with app, especially camera apps downloaded from Google store; battery drains a little fast.
There are many choices when it comes to ROM, depending on how you use it. UHD is a good ROM for daily use, but if you play games with your phone then UHD is not a good choice because the base ROM itself cannot handle games well. If you want AOSP ROM with no modifications, you can use CM.
Things like battery life and apps can be managed if you search properly and apply the knowledge.

I don't think the rom is your problem.
I was on the last couple of RR builds and my phone didin't even switch off at 10 %
Now I am again on blisppop and this one is at 18% at the moment and all works.
Both are stable as a daily driver.
They are not flawless but usable without to much problems that interfere with daily routine

If it's switching off at 50% I think it could be battery related as nobody is reporting this problem.
The torch is indeed a bug but a minor one but like I said they are not flawless but usable without to much problems that interfere with daily routine.
I think battery life is all the same on RR and blisppop
I get around according GSam 33h 46m battery life and screen on 2h 48m on blisspop measured for a week
update . . . .
plz tell me what is the best rom right now In terms of battery charge now im using blisspop but Battery charge decreases quickly so if im install " monster kernel " it will be better ? or tell me name of another rom ?
touchviz revolution 11
yo touchviz revolution 11 is the best ROM as of now comes with modification in stock rom but still very powerful thanks to devlopers...
Can anybody please suggest a good rom which supports VoLTE and has decent battery backup. I've installed AospExtended Oreo but the battery life is pathetic which i never expected. I don't know why but i found Nougat to be more stable than Oreo (I'm using Oreo only because of GCam stability). Please now if you can suggest any rom.
Thanks in advance

Try Bootleggers , The discharge rate is so OP on normal usage , but when u start playing games ! It starts sucking battery very very fast !

It would be helpful for others to know few details about your setup.
Which version of AEX do you have ?
Any special Mods you have installed ?
Which Kernel are you using ?
What is the SoT reported by AEX default bat settings and 3rd party apps like AccuBattery
Have you checked the top most battery consuming apps or service ? What are they ?
What is your usage pattern, are you a heavy gamer ?
Secondly, never ever judge battery backup of a ROM with few hours or usage. Make sure to use the device for few days. Best would be commenting about battery after a week of usage (10/12 charge cycles).
Thirdly, same setup may offer completely different backup to two different user. For example a heavy gamer running longer PubG sessions may end up with 3 hours and 30 mins of SoT where as with same device and software, a person only using the device for phone calls and text may end up 7 hours (even more) of SoT !!

Ya you're right. But I've used it for around 15-20 cycles. No mods installed or any custom kernel. The mechanism of checking battery stats is not good on this rom. It shows the breakdown of stats and not complete analysis.
I think my network was the real culprit plus the temperature in the area i visited.
And for gaming, i never use my phone for gaming (I've a PC for that, even PUBG). I'm a moderate user. I used Greenify the same way i used in Nougat AICP. Battery drain was considerably very less.
The rom has got mixed reviews on sot...so i think this may be a 50-50. Anyway i want a rom with more features...

Its been long since I haven't tried any non Treble build so I wont be able to comment on that, but on Treble, RR 6.1 having the most customization options by far. This version of RR is very similar to AiCP UI wise, so as an previous AiCP user, you may feel comfortable. The main different UI wise is at the ROM extra, huge number of settings to play with.
Thanks.

Thanks. I think i will have to install a treble rom as it is the next step and today or tomorrow, all roms will be treble compatible.
And you're right, AICP has the most customisations..i just loved the nougat base of it as i used it for a very long time...

It's popular but better not try a treble ROM
Its a lot of hassle and performance is a little low compared to non treble ROMs
