But, does the method used to root Lollipop after unlocking the BL work with MarshMallow?
I am still running Auras67 v5.1.1 with the BL unlocked obviously, if I was to flash the FTF MM would the BL remain unlocked and would the previous method of rooting work, providing it was solely for Lollipop and by that I mean the Kernel is different to the current MM build?

BL still remain unlocked but rooting i don't know
maybe not work because diff kernel
wait for another forumer answer u....

If your BL isn't unlocked, yes.

If you want to keep your drm keys or backup them, yes you have to downgrade (see my guide in signature).

Thanks.
I did, but could not find anything related to the latest firmware.
I was able to root 4.4.2 using the "japanese" exploit tho, but this no longer work on the the 4.4.3 single sim.
Did I miss anything?

That's incorrect.
There is root for Kitkat 4.4.2, as I wrote "I was able to root 4.4.2 using the "japanese" exploit":

ROOT TWRP on G4 H815 Marsmallow possible???

Hi
I´ve searched a lot but could find a way to install custom ROMs, or more precisely: I can´t root, custom recovery, etc
Does anyone knows how I can be rooted? My G4 is H815 (not european) and it came with Android 6 on it. My main reason is to install custom roms.
Please help
Anyone?

If it isn't the European H815 model you can't unlock it, root will only be possible on LP and you won't be able to install custom ROMs on it.

No, if you downgrade to LP you will be able to obtain root access but you won't be able to flash any popular Custom ROMs on your device.

why honor 8 pro development stoped..

Guys, did any one knows what are the reasons behind no custom rom development for our devices.
It has very good hardware and a lot of developments can be done.
There are openkirin roms though!!! I did use the RROS gsi... It wasn't all that bad!!
Ghoos khilaya hoga sale chutiyo ne developers ko.
I don't think even Honor Play will be getting root now, because Huawei will not be providing bootloader unlock codes for new devices:https://www.xda-developers.com/huawei-stop-providing-bootloader-unlock-codes/

Or rooting without unlocking the bootloader? I don't think thats possible though, is it?
