Hi
I´ve searched a lot but could find a way to install custom ROMs, or more precisely: I can´t root, custom recovery, etc
Does anyone knows how I can be rooted? My G4 is H815 (not european) and it came with Android 6 on it. My main reason is to install custom roms.
Please help
Anyone?

If it isn't the European H815 model you can't unlock it, root will only be possible on LP and you won't be able to install custom ROMs on it.

No, if you downgrade to LP you will be able to obtain root access but you won't be able to flash any popular Custom ROMs on your device.

Unfortunately there isn't anyway to root it directly. You can follow my guide about downgrade, root and flash here (skip n.5 and flash whatever you prefer): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2997824

How did you downgraded the device? Any recommended guide?
I think we will just have to wait for the official SEA bootloader unlock, I'm in the same situation as you. GODDAMMIT.

On marshmallow rooting requires an unlocked bootloader due to new security measures, so thats what you need to ask for first. Currenrly only the european h815 and the t-mobile-us h811 can be unlocked.

Ho boy
I'm gonna need some time to work through getting all that setup. So I need to boot into that Linux, install Salt, unlock with UsU, Install Custom Recovery and finally root the darn thing
Wish me luck

That's why FWUL exists. It is fully android compatible and has SALT pre-installed (just do an update when starting SALT and do a backup before doing anything else)

No ! Not now unless you got an unlocked bootloader . You can root that but can not install recovery . You can get root access from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/lg-g4-dual-sim-models-h818p-h818n-t3115759

Yes, you can. But if in the future you want to return to miui, the version has to be 9.5.19 or higher.
With custom roms you have to be careful if you install firmwares.

What do you mean by firmwares? If I unlock bootloader, flash a clean ROM like Lineage, root it, then am I still at any risk from Xiaomi?
