Hello guys, I'm brand new to xda today so we'll see if I'm posting in the right section.
I've got a Galaxy Tab A 9.7, SM-T550 which I am trying to restore to factory settings. This tablet has been through an Odin root and I have since removed that via the in-app button. Right now I am receiving a dm-verity verification failure on the boot menu. Any help you can get me would be appreciated.
You need to flash the stock firmware.
This isn't the Tab A forum.
Any chance you could direct me to the Tab A forum, so we can kill this post and move my questions to a more relevant location?

Hello,
So as the forum discussion I have the AT&T S3 I747 - Initially I rooted the phone to be able to use it at as a wireless hotspot and everything worked great the method i used was galaxys3root .com (I cant post the actual link <10 posts)
What I thought was a notification OTA triggered me to opening superuser and doing an uninstall/permanent unroot to ensure i didn't brick my phone, well I was wrong about the notification feeling like an idiot i decided to go ahead a reroot the phone again.
I followed the same procedure as linked above this time with problems, I have no Superuser Icon in apps tray, under applications manager it appears but only gives me the option to "Uninstall Updates" and that all
Things I have tried
- installing both versions onto the phone Clockwork mod simply just sits there under "Installing Superuser" Chain version installs but appears to do nothing.
- Used odin to reflash the stock rom then tried the re root process again
- reinstalled the wifi app to see if working but no longer is
I am not looking for a custom rom I like the default one I have I just want the Superuser app to show up again, anyone know what I could do to fix this?
Thanks for all your help

Thanks for your reply I seem to have got it solved. I downloaded a File Explorer Went into system/Apps found the SuperUser APK opened it, let it install updates and what not after done the app showed back in my apps drawer, installed my wifi mod and superuser granted permissions so everything is good

Hi guys I hope i'm in the right place.
So i've had a samsung galaxy s3 t999v for 2-3 years now and just yesterday i decided to root and upgrade the rom.
so i've been messing with it and now in a difficult situation...
I installed Lollipop Custom ROM...
i followed this link
Everything worked out, i had installed the ROM and was working, but I hadn't put installed the GAPPS and when I tried to just get the apk files which i did but google services would keep crashing.
"unfortunately google services has stopped".
Now you may say, oh just go into recovery mode and reset to factory or w.e, well that's the thing... I can't get into Recovery mode.
and that's where I am now... Help.

You can factory reset the phone in Settings > Backup and reset > Factory data reset. If that doesn't work, what happens when you try to get into recovery? It probably wouldn't hurt to try reflashing your recovery.
successfully rooted my Galaxy Tab 4 w/ Odin - when I was prompted to update SuperSU binary, i made the wrong choice to use TWRP/***? instead of Normal -
(had tried "Normal" previously and root failed, likely for some other reason...)
"Unfortunately, Music, SystemUI, etc, etc, etc has stopped" ad continuum... and I can't boot.
I'm sure there's a way out, I'm just not an android geek (web geek).
Can I get some help? VERY MUCH appreciated.

I'm new to this, and I've seen a lot of places mentioning that I need to have my stock 4.1.2 bootloader upgraded to 4.2.2 before I attempt to flash any custom roms. How do I do this?
Hi !
I've successfully rooted my A3 2017 but a question remains.
Can I upgrade with another updated stock rom via odin ?
Because if I do that, the developper option "OEM Unlock" will reset back to default
and I won't be able to boot anymore... Is this correct ?
As somebody an upgrade procedure with stock roms ?
Thank you (and sorry for my english...)
Yes you can normally flash via odin if there is a new rom release from Samsung!

You allways can flash with ODIN an original ROM , but that do not fix knox counter.
Can you post a list of the applications from samsung that you uninstall?

Ok, so flashing a new rom via Odin doesn't turn off OEM Unlock in developper options... Cool.
From samsung, I've deleted all knox related apps, galaxy apps and samsung update. Kept mail, message app, browser as second option( use Lightning browser).
The interesting thing is I deleted all google apps, but finally wanted to have them back. Couldn't find a working gapps zip to flash...
Later, I've disabled crypto for TWRP by formating data. After reboot, the phone was clean, with just facebook app and a minimal install for a working google play store. Cool !
sorry duplicated
