nooby question here
sorry if this is the wrong thread
i once rooted my galaxy grand with kingroot (using iroot)
then i had to remove it
but now root flashable zips dont work in stock recovery, can anyone find a solution?
Unfortunately ,the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped
Since this morning i keep getting this error message, not letting me use the phone and wen i open playstore it says google sign in required, some downloaded apps to are not showing
I'm new to this, and I've seen a lot of places mentioning that I need to have my stock 4.1.2 bootloader upgraded to 4.2.2 before I attempt to flash any custom roms. How do I do this?

I'm trying to nail down the exact procedure for installing Hulu into Roms other than SkyRaider. Specifically I am currently using HeyItsLouFroyo which after trying all the ROMs I could find worked the best.
So far I have downloaded the Hulupack.zip from the OP of this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=764787&highlight=hulu
and the Hulu.apk.zip file from an update to the same thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=7903587&highlight=hulu#post7903587
I tried installing the "install_huluflash_player.apk" but it gave me an error during the install something to the effect of "Application was not installed". From there I installed the "Hulu.apk" which installed successfully. Next I tried "flash_fixed_final.apk" which gave me the same error as the original flash install. Just for grins I launched the Hulu app and to my surprise it seemed to be working until I got a message that said "Unfortunately Hulu is not supported on your platform" I have not installed the updated hulu.apk that I found later in the thread yet. I wanted to first start a thread and see if you guys can save me some time and frustration by telling me what the proper process is for getting this working.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
It looks like I may have posted this in the wrong spot. Can someone please move this to the correct spot or tell me how I can move it and where to?

I did not. I just removed the flash app via Titanium and tried to install the flash_fixed_final.apk but received the same error as before.
Now I have no flash at all and still can't install flash. HMMM, now what?
Wait, alright I rebooted and after the reboot I was able to install the new version of flash. I opened hulu and it seems to be working now except it has this issue where the voices are super slow. I remember reading something about this in another forum but I think it was fixed by an update to the ROM. Anyone know how to fix the demon voices?
I have a 100% working Hulu now.
The fix for the demon audio was found in another forum. Here is what I did.
1. Opened Rom Manager
2. Selected "Download ROM"
3. Selected "Ihtfp69"
4. Selected "Goodies for 2.2+"
5. Clicked on the "Download" button
6. Checked the checkbox next to "Revert Audio Fix" and clicked OK.
Hello,
So as the forum discussion I have the AT&T S3 I747 - Initially I rooted the phone to be able to use it at as a wireless hotspot and everything worked great the method i used was galaxys3root .com (I cant post the actual link <10 posts)
What I thought was a notification OTA triggered me to opening superuser and doing an uninstall/permanent unroot to ensure i didn't brick my phone, well I was wrong about the notification feeling like an idiot i decided to go ahead a reroot the phone again.
I followed the same procedure as linked above this time with problems, I have no Superuser Icon in apps tray, under applications manager it appears but only gives me the option to "Uninstall Updates" and that all
Things I have tried
- installing both versions onto the phone Clockwork mod simply just sits there under "Installing Superuser" Chain version installs but appears to do nothing.
- Used odin to reflash the stock rom then tried the re root process again
- reinstalled the wifi app to see if working but no longer is
I am not looking for a custom rom I like the default one I have I just want the Superuser app to show up again, anyone know what I could do to fix this?
Thanks for all your help

Hey
Is there any way to install linux on Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 P5200? I have tried some way but no luck. F. ex. Linux Deploy gives errors like "Updating environment ... fail" and "Updating configuration file ... fail". Any idea how to fix it?
1) Please check the thread you are posting in. AFAIK this should have been in the Q and A section.
2) as far as I know there is NO way. There might be in the future.
3) Please give us some more details on what you did. This is like saying I opened a program and windows crashed. We have no detail at all.
4) A little google searching goes a long way. Google search and the XDA forum search are your best friends
Other than that hello to XDA and enjoy your stay
Sorry for this, but searched mr. google well, and haven't found any way how to do it.
What i did? I have root my Tab and after installing and running Linux Deploy gives me those info. I have running Android 4.2.2 (P5200XXUAMG7). Anything else needed?
Hi there,
I have a SM-T805 from a few months, and I grew tired of its lags and sloppiness. I've tried to read many threads to find the most simple way too root, install TWRP and a ROM, but most of the threads are old and quite confusing.
So... could someone please tell me, step by step and with the proper links, how to ROOT and install TWRP in the easiest and most safe way?
Thanks a lot!

You don't need to ROOT 'AND' install TWRP.
Just install TWRP and it will root for you.
You can use the version below if you wish which I built, I have updated the Super su root files and fixed an issue with the wrong reboot option showing - BOOTLOADER instead of DOWNLOAD mode.
Just install via ODIN then boot into TWRP, select reboot from within TWRP and it will ask if you wish to root your device. After that your device will be rooted with the latest updated root.

Did it and installed Iron Rom. Thanks a lot
I have one problem... after I installed TWRP and rooted, with ANY rom I install, included the original one, I get the "no connection" error with every single app from google. In other words, I can't use the tablet. It's like Google knows the tablet is rooted and blocks it. How can I solve this?
Try resigning into your Google account. If that doesn't work clear cache and data for Google play services.

I found out that when I'm rooted, Android automatically sets my wifi connection behind a non-existent proxy. This happens in EVERY ROM I install, from the original one to Cyanogen. I just have to disable that proxy and everything works. WTF.
I recently rooted my N900T using CF root, and all went well. Now I would like to install the Xposed framework, and have no clue which file to install, as I have found dozens of them, as well as reading there are different instructions on Samsung.
This phone has a stock rom, running 5.0 and I'd rather leave it that way. I've heard about using either Odin or Flashfire to flash the xposed framework, then just installing the APK, but once again, which file out of the dozens out there is for this device?
My main reasons are ad blocking, and to disable the idiotic headphone warning (since I can't strangle the developer of that screw up, heh heh) I use xposed on my old Nexus 7 and love it, and afaik, it was easy to put it on there.
I have searched, but either didn't find what I was sure applied to my device, or didn't find it, so sorry if it's already out there.
Thanks for any help!
my understanding is that to install xposed on a touchwiz ROM (samsung's rom), it needs to be deodex-ed
(see first post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...m-stock-lollipop-5-0-n900tuvufob6-v1-t3215571 )
look for deodex for instructions. Then the thread I linked should have the correct links to xposed install.
If you use an AOSP rom, you can install directly (no deode step required).

Thanks for the info, about to give it a try.
SUCCESS! The file I was trying to flash was the wrong one, apparently. was trying to flash xposed-v75-sdk21-arm-arter97-snapdragon.zip, but I needed the V71 version instead.
v85 by dkcldark works without needing to deodex your ROM.

I am currently using this on rooted stock FOL1 knox 0x0 flashed using FlashFire.
Interesting. As this phone was given to me, and is over 3 years old, I could care less about knox or warranties, but still nice to know it can be done. The only problem I had was the touchwiz launcher deciding to just stop working, and getting those idiotic prompts "unfortunately touchwiz home has stopped, if this inconveniences you, too bad". I fixed that by ditching touchwiz home and going with Nova launcher, which I like better anyway. I also like that this phone has an IR blaster, which has led to fun with random TV's!
I hope its ok to ask my question here in this recent thread. I'm messed up with xposed I think. I had xposed installed and working while on the NK3 firmware. I don't do a lot of updates to my device very often, but decided it was finally time to move to 5.0. So I downloaded FOB6, got it flashed, rooted, twrp installed, sd card fix. I totally missed the part where I should have disabled or removed xposed before I upgraded. Now I seem to be stuck. Can't quite figure out how to remove the old version and install newer version. I tried downloading from the post by dkcldark ref'd above. I installed using flashfire (first time using that), but it seems I still have the same older version still showing when I run the app.
If all else fails I guess I'll make a backup and factory reset, but I'm hoping there is an easier way. Thanks in advance for any ideas.
