Htc one m8 needing to go back to stock rom - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, i recently bought an M8 from eBay and it came with Version 4.4.4 but wouldnt update to anything else (your phone is up to date) so i unlocked the boot loader and using Sunshine S-Off i did the S-Off thing as it was set to On ...then i downloaded and installed the Revolution HD custom ROM which all went ahead smoothly but all i want really is the latest Stock ROM for my phone and wipe the Rev HD and instal the original ROM and firmware but i really dont know where to look for the Firmware & ROM ...i know how to flash them but have no idea what to look for when searching for them.. could anyone help please?
I will try to give as much info as possible (i'm quite sure the CID was 1111111 or something like that before the HD flash)
(bootloader) version-baseband: 1.21.21331147A1.19_2G

I hope that's enough info..when i spoke to HTC they said, going by the IMEI that the phone had a US carrier or desighed for US and was on T-Mobile? The phone works fine in the UK so i don't understand that unless the seller on eBay has altered it?
Thanks a lot for your time and help
I have downloaded RUU_M8_UL_M60_SENSE70_MR_BrightstarUS_WWE_6.12.1540.4 and firmware-6.12.1540.4 ...are these right anyone? i'm really not sure..i have been reading about this all day and it still baffles me

HTC One M8 - Going Back To Stock - Help

Hi

When i purchased my M8 i decided to root it.
However i have found too many apps wont work. I.e Skygo and banking
I am trying to unroot however i having big difficulty finding a ROM
Getvar gives me the following
(bootloader) version: 0.5
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 3.16.0.000
(bootloader) version-baseband: 1.16.2133156
(bootloader) version-cpld: None

(bootloader) boot-mode: FASTBOOT
(bootloader) commitno-bootloader: ab0efa49
(bootloader) hbootpreupdate: 11

Thanks for the reply
However both of those threads dont have the 3.14.206.27 i require.
They all have one for a CId of O2__ 102 but as mentioned mine is O2 __ 001
Would it work?
Thanks

3.14.206.27 is a version for HTC One X not M8

[Q] - Another - unlocking question regarding sprint

I'm using a sprint m8 internationally on a permanent basis so at the very least I need a sim to work with a gsm network on the m8, tried to flash some radios (which failed). So... is there a way to purge everything 'sprint' from a htc one m8 ? Will an RUU do the trick (recommendations)?
Phone is s-off, unlocked, rooted etc. See below for the getvar dump. cid is 1's mid is dev. No luck on installing custom roms - still restricted to sprint variants.
Code:
(bootloader) version: 0.5
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 3.19.0.0000
(bootloader) version-baseband: 1.08.20.0916
(bootloader) version-cpld: None

You could convert it to the Developer Edition using the RUU and see if that works. If not, you can flash the Sprint RUU to go back to the beginning
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/development/ruu-m8-developer-edition-sense-1-54-t2884777 this one?
This one:
http://dl3.htc.com/application/RUU_...G_20.68.4196.01_F_release_411207_signed_2.exe
It's on that thread, but above is the direct link to HTCs server
" ERROR 155 The ROM Update utility cannot update your android phone. Please get the correct ROM Update Utility and try again" is what it shows....
So it appears something 'sprint' is blocking it. Although I suspected a full ROM,radio might work...

I think my phone is bricked(kinda?)

I have a HTC One M8 Unlocked and I haven't been able to use the phone for a couple days because I think I bricked it. First I unlocked my bootloader (successful) and then I rooted my phone (I assume it went successful) and after that I ran the ViperOneM8 4.6.1 rom. I was in a hurry so I did not read that you were supposed to update your firmware before installing the rom. I ****ed up and installed the rom and I was left with a phone that couldn't connect to wifi. I tried to fix the problem but I think I just made it worse and now I don't know what to do. Any help/links would be greatly appreciated thank you!

Check this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/general/vomerguides-m8-bootldr-unlock-s-off-t2800727
and update your firmware to at least 4.16.401.10
And no need to root if you are installing a (already rooted) custom rom ! Useless and totally unnecessary.
People should stop thinking that they "root the phone", you are only modding the running OS to give it root access !

The problem is, i dont have Wifi, everytime an error occurs (Failed to load drivers). With SunShine i need a working internet connection, which i dont have. And at the Android 5 Stock ROM i dont even have Mobile internet.

Hboot 3.18
i believe your wifi issue is because you have an outdated firmware ( kitkat ) i think
so you need to flash the latest firmware ( marshmallow ) then flash the latest twrp ( 3.0.2-0 ) and flash your rom or restore stock backup ( 6.12.114.4 )
then you can achieve s-off ( if you need it for something else )
Here is the links
signed firmware 6.12.114.4

You can't just flash any M8 RUU. They are version dependent, meaning only the RUU intended for your device's CID/MID will work. Further, there is no officially available RUU in .exe format for your CID. But you can flash the zip version, by carefully following the instructions here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64926626&postcount=6
