AOKP-ANDROID OPEN KANG PROJECT
What is AOKP?
AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).
With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.
Why AOKP ?
We were waiting for when you'd ask this.
There are a variety of reasons why a hilly billy Android user, on a bright sunny day, would suddenly start using AOKP and loving it.
For one, AOKP is lightweight. Most OEMs provide a heavy UI layer over Android and have loads of bloatware (i.e. apps that not everyone use every day, but you cannot remove because they're "baked in" by default). Since AOKP is built upon vanilla Android source, it has neither of the above.
Also AOKP has features that you will not find on your stock firmware. You can have a multitude of toggles to quickly flip a lot of your phone's settings right at your fingertips, or you can launch apps quickly from any screen using our Ribbons.
You can change almost each and every aspect of the OS, from its looks to the way it functions, with total freedom. And did we tell you, AOKP helps you make tacos?

Send GtrCraft a log cat. Try a factory wipe. If not booting, then I would fully wipe and start again
My phone is running really hot after installing this ROM, which is a shame as I really like the features of this ROM.

THIS IS AN UNOFFICIAL BUILD OF LIQUID LOLLIPOP AND NOT SUPPORTED BY THE NORMAL DEV TEAM. SO IF YOU FIND A BUG, DON'T ASK THEM FOR ANY KIND OF SUPPORT. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE OFFICIAL LIQUID LOLLIPOP, YOU CAN FIND THAT HERE.
Here is a build I put together today of LiquidSmooth v4.0 (Android 5.0.1). I build unofficial builds for one of the S2 variants, and having the d2att S3, I figured I would build it for it too. And since it worked, figured I would just drop it here.
THINGS TO NOTE
ABOUT THE ROM
This build does not use the Material Dark theme that the official Liquid Lollipop uses it. I reverted it to Material Light in some places just because I prefer it. There are still a few system apps and places you will find the darker theme, but most of the ROM is light. Camera is a little off still. Works for some, doesn't for others. I recommend Open Camera from the PlayStore. Pictures work flawless with it.. Video will cause FC.. Wifi, Mobile Data, etc are also working. As far as bugs, I'm sure there are some, but being early in the Lollipop era, it should be expected.
ABOUT THE KERNEL
The D2-Shift that I recommend to use with this comes from the awesome @rogersb11. It's built with Linaro GCC-4.9.1 and includes the faux sound mod (thanks to @faux123). When flashing the kernel, it will install Stweak kernel control app. HOWEVER Stweaks support is not complete yet. So use Trickster or whatever kernel control app you wish with it.
DOWNLOAD AND INSTALLATION
THAT USUAL DISCLAIMER STUFF
Yup, you knew this was coming. Neither I nor anyone else including, but not limited to, my wife, kids, your neighbor, or that annoying Fluffy the cat down the road are responsible to damage to your phone while flashing this. This includes, soft brick, hard brick, one brick, two brick, red brick, blue brick. ALSO, I built this specifically for the d2att variant. If you want to try it on another d2 variant then you do so at your own risk. It's up to you to know if it can work and how.
DOWNLOADS
Unofficial Liquid Lollipop from this link right here.
Gapps from this here link (or 5.0 Gapps of your choice)
Shift-D2 Kernel can be found here.
Update SuperSU (thank you @Chainfire) from the link you can click on right here.
INSTALLATION
1) BACK THAT THANG UP! Seriously, it never hurts.
2) Factory Reset, Full Wipe
3) Flash ROM, Gapps, Kernel
4) Flash Update SuperSU
5) Safety Wipe of Dalvik (ART now)
6) Reboot
SPECIAL THANKS
First and foremost thanks to the entire LiquidSmooth team because of course, without them, this wouldn't exist. I always have to thank @rogersb11 like my life would cease without him. Seriously though, the kernel is all his building, and the help he has given me over the last little while as I learn how to build from source. Say thank you to the man, would ya? Thanks to @bob24260 who first introduced me to Android and rooting and all that fun stuff a long time ago, and who also took that nervous step of being the first to flash this with me.

No Thank you!
I've had the distinct pleasure of knowing GeekyNimrod for a while now in "real" life and I also had the pleasure of being the first to flash this.I'm loving it.Great job Geeky.I may have been the person to introduce Geeky to Android but I've always been old school gingerbread person.Geeky changed that with his work.I'm absolutely in love with this build.Camera straight out of the "box" so to speak.Once again great job and I look forward to future builds. In my thread title it says No thank you,it should have said No,thank you!Was thanking Geeky not criticizing as the lack of comma implied.Overlook me,I'm a doofus.

Hardware repo should be good to go. Video MOST LIKELY comes from a d2 common repo. IDK tho, I don't have this device and my N2 is Exynos not Qualcomm
not taking pics also,It took a pic first time, next time it stopped working, the focus circle stuck and it won't take pictures
there's no file manager!

Try clearing data on camera in settings, reboot to recovery and wipe dalvik (ART)and cache. Its worked for me on similar issues before.Camera is working fine for me.As far as file manager there's plenty to choose from in the Play store.
I found Clear Dalvik cache, but why you mention (ART)
I do not find such option in my TWRP 8

There is no dalvik on Lollipop. When you clear dalvik in recovery you are actually clearing ART.ART stands for Android Run Time.It replaced dalvik.

Silky smooth ROM.
Awesome. Thank again Shelnutt!
@Shelnutt2
Banks gapps have been inactive for awhile. PA GApps took over for him and has packages that are very similar now. I always use the micro modular package and it's perfect.
(They have specific 5.0 lollipop apps too)

Awesome job on the ROM Shelutt. Been sporting the nightlies sense they've been available for download. Anyone else on 20150118 having issues with radio?
Been kinda hanging back with the last nightly of [GEE/B] UNOFFICIAL CyanogenMOD 11 seeing how CM12 is shaping up. 11's been good to me so far.
Has this build put in a GEE base for us? I've noticed CM (at least 11 anyway) much smoother w/ a GEE base, or is it really not needed in Lollipop?
Thanks for your work, I wouldn't be enjoying any of these builds w/o your dedication.
Keeping this phone alive is saving me tons of money by taking my butt to Ting vs being a slave to the man (contracts).
I'm not getting network on the latest Nightly.

... What doesn't work about it?
Will it flash in recovery?
You get force closes on boot until you reset?
You have to be a little more specific.
Also, are you using the 5.0 GApps? I linked it on the last page. I use the Micro Modular Package and have NEVER had a problem. The 5.0.x PA GApps is here. 4th package from the bottom of the first post.

I wipe dalvik and cache after flashing gapps, but other than that it sounds right.
Full wipe, System, data I think I just realized something... Are you wiping data as well? Because if not, you are using data from another rom.
About your other question, I have used them all. Seriously, I have tried every Lollipop rom I can find. And I have flashed a few different nightlies of each.
Is only me or can't change the keyboard, it FCs every time.

Why shouldn´t it be possible to flash superSU? It´s no problem on AOSP roms and shouldn´t be one on AOKP. Use latest superSU 2.78.
Any screeshot,Dev?

Because, though it is not CM based, it is prerooted. Flashing superSU might get you bugs (or worst)
When will this rom be updated?

Tell me the Russian translation is added in the settings?
I have this problem with the percentage of the battery is not giving me what has to be in the status bar
I tried clean flashing this but I am unable to boot it. When I try to reboot twrp says no OS installed.
EDIT: So it flashed properly but there was no custom boot logo as I expected. Had an Internal Error at startup too but I think that may just be a one time on boot thing.

flash the rom 2 times the error does not come anymore.
I've flashed several times.. the internal problem popup won't go away... Aside from that? Things are running fairly well!

I did try the right vendor but it's not gone.
I'd grab a shot for you but I've moved back to stock until I figure out what I want to do.. Also, and I'm not sure this matters, but whatever is going on, SafetyNet failed the ctsProfile but passed on basicIntegrity.. Not sure if that matters in relation to what's going on with the error message but SafetyNet passes on all roms I've tried, stock and custom.
First off this is a GREAT rom and my daily driver. Secondly I am receiving that error also. Since it seems to be built for the December vendor possibly this error is due to a signing key?
