Hi guys i hope im posting in the right thread
But my question is the following:
I have a tmo s6 edge 128gb which i just rooted with the unikernel and i still have stock but i installed titanium backup from play store and i tried running a second backup of the apps and i got an error that reads:
"Backup failed: insufficient free storage space" and i know that i have more than 40gbs of free space available. Can anyone tell me how to fix this titanium problem?

Uncheck "mount namespace separation" in the settings menu of SuperSU

I had the same issue on my oneplus one. As far as i knew there hadn't been any changes between TB working and not working. No idea if the SU setting set itself recently or what, but unchecking (and rebooting, as per the setting's info!) fixed the error.

Is anyone getting errors with the new update on Mybackup root ? I am trying to figure it out as to why I can't get it going. It work before. Now its just has errors like .... " error opening DB " or " Error: Unable to convert old backup files " Is anyone else getting these errors ??? Is there anything better then Mybackup Root ??
Thanks.
I got errors when there wasn't enough space on my SD card. However, some of yours seem rather random
Pretty much. Don't know why. I just got a brand new sd card. 32gb. Could that be the problem ?

Please try to uninstall the app, reboot the phone, and install it again.

Still the same out come.
I guess I am glad I did not buy the full version. Need to start looking for a good back up. Especially when rooted.
I've downloaded this, but haven't really used it yet. I know it doesn't have all the same features as either the pay or free version of Titanium Backup. But one thing the free version of Titanium lacks that this has for free is the ability to do a silent restore. I *hate* having to confirm each reinstall on the free version of TB. I'm leaning towards buying TB Pro, but I want to give this a shot first.
So to the OP, yes, I'd say Titanium Backup Pro does basically the same thing and more. Titanium free may have some features MB Root doesn't, but MB Root has a killer feature on the restore that you can't get for free on TB. But if you can't get MB Root to work, TB Pro would probably be your best alternative, for $6.
Those who have used both TB Pro and this, do you think it still is worth paying for TB Pro? Assuming MB Root works properly...I'm more talking about the TB Pro features vs MB root features.
Whenever I attempt to install one of my paid apps on my new GSM Nexus (Torque Pro) I get the error in the subject line - Unknown -24. I'm able to install it on any of my other devices and I'm running out of ideas. Any suggestions?
Is it compatible with the gnex?

Yep, it's up and running on my VZW one right now. I did use app2zip to restore my apps on the new Nexus, but many of my paid apps didn't restore. This seems to be the only one which refuses to install, though... I've tried clearing the cache and everything.
Bump. I'm baffled, over here
FIXED. Never using App2Zip again.
For anyone using google in the future -
Remove /data/data/org.prowl.torque from your phone. App2Zip seems to restore the data folder for certain apps even if you tell it to not restore data...

ciao coldfire, i'm having same problems with app2zip and purchased apps
actually app2zip works great with free apps, so I'll continue using it for free apps, but I can't resintall my paid apps now (for example tapatalk2, the most important!)
I got same error while trying to reinstall it (unknown error 24).. can you help me getting it back please?
(I can't find /data/data/org.prowl.torque in my phone!)
thanks in advance bye!
EDIT: I try another full wipe and tried reinstalling the app before using app2 zip to restore free apps. now I get another error when trying reinstalling tapatalk2: "file of package not valid" (((((((((( any suggestion? ((((((((
RE-EDIT: after multiple full wipes, rom flashings and reboots, at last I could reinstall my purchased apps!
So, I'm trying to backup my Titanium backup to drop box and I keep getting a network error, I'm currently at my house on Wi-Fi. Any thoughts?
Thanks!
Anyone? Thanks!
In dropbox when you enter your email or password wrongly it says network error when you try uploading backups, if I remember correctly
Thanks for the reply. It TB it shows me logging into drop box no problem, then I get the error message.

UPDATE: Uninstalled TB and then re installed it, Up and running. Thanks!
Okay, just for future reference, I was having the same exact problem and an uninstall/re-install of both Dropbox and the TB app didn't help. And I was at it for a few hours.
I finally got it to work - with a reboot :cyclops:
Hello All,
Been using XDA ever since my switch to Android, almost a year ago. For the most part I never had to write because all questions seem to be addressed with a bit of searching.
With that said, I just updated my Note 3 to KitKat using this amazing guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2672393, worked flawlessly - no hassles.
On to my problem. While on 4.3, I flashed a mod that changes the one-handed operation mode from blue to black. After playing with KitKat for no longer than 6 minutes, I got annoyed with the stock blue background, and in my infinite wisdom decided to flash the Mod to change it to black again.
To make a long story, it goes into one handed operation mode, it is black the way I like it (because I use this stupid function so damn much), but it doesn't respond properly at the upper and lower portions of the reduced size screen.
Any ideas on how to revert back to stock? Or better yet, is there a Mod that actually works with KitKat?
Thank you in advance!
edit: Sorry, just realized this was posted to the wrong forum.
factory reset
Factory reset won't help, here's Easy one hand taken from XNote. I believe that it'll work.
Just push it into the system with the correct permissions.

Thank you for your help, unfortunately it didn't work. I downloaded the APK, made sure "Unknown Sources" was checked. After attempting to install, I get a message saying "X App not installed".

I'm guessing that your rooted. Uninstall the Easyonehand.apk using titanium backup then use a root explorer and copy the file into system -> app then change the permissions then reboot.

Awesome... this worked perfectly! Thank you for your help... and I got the black background too
As much as I love the Note 3 it has problems with backup apps. I haven't got Titanium Backup to work successfully. Now it won't even let me install it, it says not enough space. I just used Rom Toolbox, flashed a rom and restored and it and only some apps restored and no data restored. So what are people using successfully?
I use titanium Backup Pro 6.1.5.2 and I run the tb fixer app after each restore and I have no problems.
Edit: so you're aware, in still on 4.3 I've been doing this this way since i got my phone in January, but this works fine for me.
I'm on TMo KitKat and TB works fine for me. Always has. There was a time when I had to use the fixer app but that isn't an issue anymore. I have tried Helium Backup and it's ok, but it still doesn't touch TB imo. I believe Helium doesn't require root either.

I uninstalled TB so I could reinstall it and see if it would work. But now all I get is an error saying that there is "insufficient storage available", any idea how to fix that? Thanks.

That's an old TB issue but to fix it is simple:
1- Use any file explorer like Root Explorer or ES File Explorer, etc.
2- go to /data/app,
3- find and delete "com.kermidas.TitaniumBackup-1.odex".
Used TB since I got the phone. Now on Stock rooted 4.4.2 still works fine. I backup to the external SDcard which gets copied one of my servers at home every Sunday as an archive backup. Pictures, videos that might be on the phone, and other stuff is stored on the External as well.
Using current version as updated by Play market as updates come out.
Titanium backup is the king when it comes to backup, constantly supported and updated. Nothing competes with it imho, cloud backup is junk.

Mybackup Pro is a nice one too
I use TB all the time on my Note 3 and haven't had any problems. After a fresh install, I've also restored apps via Nandroid Manager Pro from a recent nandroid which saved me the trouble of going through and selecting or deselecting apps that I don't need installed but want a backup of. The process took a really long time but was pretty much automated. That will probably be my preferred method after a fresh flash, assuming that I have a recent enough nandroid.
Not a fan of My Backup Pro. Can you say DRM that prevents use by paying customers?... I bought the app on my Note 3 and installed it there and on my Note 8. It worked fine on the tablet, but on my Note 3, kept giving me an "invalid license" message. I tried all kinds of things: reinstall after wiping Dalvik / cache, running a few junk cleaner apps, but no love. Dev seemed like kind of a hard-ass when I emailed him for a refund, but got my money back after a few emails.
Anyways, yeah. What I said before.
Ok gonna try TB, has good feedbacks

Titanium Backup has worked flawlessly for me for many years, on HTC G2, SGS2, and now Note 3.
I just straight up use the app backup that es file explorer has built in to it. TB for me had many problems, ROM toolbox as mentioned actually only backed up/restored certain apps for me, but es has not failed me once since ice cream sandwich. As long as you keep your backups fresh...
