Been getting a lot of idle drain and phone says its awake a lot. How can I isolate which app is doing this?
Betterbatterystats might help, it should show wakelock duration.
This will probably be Google Services... I've been having a ton of wakelock and BetterBatteryStats is saying it's GoogleServices, several hours worth of wakelock... I read somewhere that it was the Calendar sync, but I haven't been able to find any fix for it....
Hi,
I tried to search the whole wide web for identification on this particular wakelock, but the search came out negative. I have rooted Nexus 7 (2013) with stock rom and this wakelock is getting over a thousand alarm wakelocks per discharging cycle. I know it has something to do with scheduled tasks, but have you guys had this same issue with your Nexus? Can't say how much this effects the batterylife, but it would be nice to know what causes this and is it avoidable
Here is a pic from my BetterBatteryStats so you can see the wakelock in question:
So it is called ALARM_WAKEUP_ACTIVITY_DETECTION.
Thanks!
Figured it out, at least i pinpointed the cause of this wakelock. It has something to do with Googles location services. I turned all the location services off and the wakelock disappeared. Why does Google want to wakeup my device every 3 minutes even though i have device management off, google now off, everything else that relates to location, off?

Turning Google Now off usually does it. Did you have location history and/or reporting on?

I had Google Now off as well for a few days without any effect. I also disabled the history and reporting and no effect. The only thing that ended those wakelocks was to permanently shut down location services. But it's not a burden to me, only a few clicks and i can have them on when i need them.
So I've finally discovered what was causing my random excessive battery drains.
Turns out that google search is keeping my phone awake. More specifically, the AudioIn function.
How can I be rid of this?
bump
Turn off okay Google hotword detection.
I've had issues with battery drain from Google Play Services since the day 1. I've turned off location and sync, disabled a "Keep awake" permission for Google Play Services with App Ops. I also use Amplify to limit the wakelocks and alarms. Literally everything I could think of, and I'm still experiencing this weird issue.
The phone is running stock lollipop. Screenshots below:
Battery Stats
Battery Stats 2 (Google Play services)
Wakelock Detector not detecting any wakelocks
GSam Battery Monitor showing only 1.7% drain from google play services, compared to the 16% from system's battery stats
Amplify - limited wakelocks (most of them are set to 420 secs)
Amplify - limited alarms
What else can I do to fix this?
Hi, my phone is being kept awake by a wakelock called net_scheduler. I believe it's linked to Play Services, but the icon that appears next to it in BBS is Gboard.
Is there anyway to block wakelocks if I'm rooted? Thanks
