SM-T800 after root all apps crashes - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've rooted my galaxy tab s 10.5 SM T-800 with android version 5.0.2
after rooting the tablet everytime it boots display message "unfortunately <application> has stopped"
and even pressing ok keeps appearing for other message for other app nonstop
I cannot access android home screen even

I doubt it's because of root. Try wiping dalvik cache. If that doesn't fix it you may have to flash the stock firmware.

When I had this issue I found that doing a factory reset helped temporarily.
It's temporary because when I rebooted the device the same crash happened

I've wiped the dalvik cache

is there any solution other than stock firmware?

anybody?

Had this same issue, as I said...
My intention was to root the device and get it working, so I started this thread...

(I got some help, including from ashyx who posted above (thanks again!) and have had a working tablet for 4 months now )

problems with force closing apps

i started getting this message 3 weeks ago. it just started out of nowhere. whenever i started my phone i got all my apps force closing. now it seems to be happening to me every time i restart or turn off my phone. i did have a nandroid backup from 1 month ago but it also gets the force closing error after it restarts.
i have tried fixing permissions from CMW but this dows nothing. i tried a few other apps to try fix them (appextract, rom manager) but non of these helped.
i have a samsung galaxy ace 2 (XXLD8) on three IE network. its running android 2.3.6. rooted with CMW.
the only other option i have left would be to flash the firmware back onto the device but would anyone have an option that i could try before i do that?
thanks

Did this all happen after flashing root access?? Maybe you used bad root file??
Did you flash stock rom through odin
If you flash stock rom(odin) without wipe data, cahe and dalvik, force closes will occur.

no this was the stock rom i got with the phone ie. lik ive never flashed a new rom to it. i used a root method on this to flash it: this one. but i rooted it about 7 months ago its just randomly happening :L. but one of the last apps i installed onto it i remember was this sd booster. i remember it seemed a bit strange and dodgy but i still used it. that wouldnt have anyting got to do with it by any chance?

SD booster app is the culprit behind this. This app have caused may devices to malfunction and sd cards to burn.
Setting -->manage app-->choose the app & clear data
This is my method

Problem Booting

so heres my problem. i had slimbean 4.1 on my device and it worked great. but i got a new phone and left it in a drawer
decided to give my phone to my sister and the update message showed up in my notifications
i downloaded it and flashed as i have a million times before
then i was stuck in a bootloop.
i did the usual, full while, cache and dalvik, and no success, the same has occured with every rom except the miui rom for some reason that one works
i have noticed that i can not factory reset the normal way, i have to use the alternate under settings in twrp
i have also used the super scripts and i noticed that it gets stuck on clearing the cache, any ideas?

Are you still using the same version of TWRP you used to flash slimbean 4.1? If you are trying to flash newer ROMS with an older version of TWRP, that could be causing the problem.

[Q] i747 ATT 4.1.2 downgrade to 4.1.1 I get errors

So I originally had the phone on 4.1.2. I was trying to unlock it via box. I couldnt not do so, so I downgraded via odin to 4.1.1. The issue I get now it error screens such as:
The process android.process.acore has stopped.
What did I do wrong?
Did you wipe cache and Dalvik after downgrading?
Thank you!

You saved my day (what was left of). That solved the problem. Since it didnt matter to loose any stored data I did a factory reset (after doing a google search) and then my phone worked perfectly fine and I was also able to unlock it.
THank you again for taking time to respond to this question.

[Q] Camera Flash Stopped Working

Anyone encountered camera flash stopped working suddenky in camera mode, flashlight app or other 3rd party app? I used to clear dalvik and cache n it was ok for awhile but now it totally stopped working. Will reflashing it and reformatting it bring back the flash? T705 user here btw.

Well let's find out if it is a software issue or hardware issue. Backup your current ROM, then wipe data, flash a new rom and see if it works. If it doesn't it's hardware issue.

i already reformat everything and reflash.... it was fine till one point it started again. what i did next, i tried to fix permission in TWRP and it works!!! i wonder which permission causes the flash to stop working.... i had to fix permissionb everytime it stopped working....
anyone knows any way of which i can actually see what or which thing that causes the break??
My Tab S (T700) wont flash too! Only rarely. I tried in complete darkness and no flash! Im prolly gonna end up registering for this site just to comment!

[HELP] crash, then infinite boot animation

Hi I am using DN4 with their latest updates from a few weeks ago. It ran for several weeks now without issues but today it just crashed after i took a photo with the samsung camera app.
Problem is now that it wont boot through, it just shows the bootanimation all the time.
1. How can this be?
2. How can I fix it to boot again without losing apps+their data?
What I already tried by booting into twrp-recovery:
wipe cache+dalvik and restart
fix permissions and restart
repair file systems of the partitions
Help please!

Dirty flash the rom (no wipe no nothing)
You wont lose any app you installed.
Sent from my handphone, not yours
Try dirty flash in Philz recovery. TWRP doesn't work good for DN4
I tried alot in the last hours...
The data partition seems to be corrupted. none of the recoveries can mount it and if I install a new ROM I see that the part where the data partition is populated is over too fast so I assume it cant access it and skips it. Flashed Roms even booted sometimes but there are massive FCes probably because all from data is missing
Hope this is not hardware failure. Will try flashing 4.1.2 with odin next (was still on mj5)
4.1.2 via odin seems to do the trick. Thanks for the help, guys!
