I just got a lg optimus g e973 from telus and so did my mom. I've noticed that the colour on her screen has more contrast and looks far better. When displaying the same white image her whites are much more white and the dark colours are far darker. Is my phone broken? The brightness settings are set exactly the same and both phones have no screen protectors.
I currently own both models because I am a US AT&T user and was thinking about switching from a white f400S (korean variant) to the black AT&T D850 model but the lcd looks yellow compared and not as bright on the AT&T version and this is consistent with all of them, not just mine (I work in a store so I have been comparing as I sell them).
Any guesses as to why? And does anyone else notice a very small but definitely noticeable checkerboard look on these phones when looking at a blank screen or over the flat colors? the quality seems poor for a 2k display and I have been satisfied with my f400. It doesn't make sense being that LG wouldn't outsource their displays to different manufacturers.
I bought 2 Sprint g3's and they have different displays. One is more yellowish but seems to have a bit better contrast and the other is cooler or bluer looking and seems to be a little brighter. Its really odd since I bought both at the same time on launch day but one is gold and the other is black.

I buyed a lg g3 2 days ago. When i powered it on i noticed the black is bluish, not grayish phones with lcds. I compared it to my friends xperia z1 and other phones in store, and my g3 is the only one phone that have the blue tint when displaying black. I dont have acess to other g3 and i dont know if this is normal. I am running the latest android 5 that is available for me. Thanks
I trying to find info about how modify screen sharpness on lg g4 screen but can't find anything. I would like a little more sharpness.
Does anyone know if it is possible?
What do you mean by sharpening,? G4 has same QHD resolution as G3 but also has much better contrast and color reproduction. So it's already much better display than the one on G3.

I mean that on LG G3, there is a mod that allow change the sharpness. I tried to find it for G4 but I don't find it.
g4 no use oversharpening settings.Only G3
