I love this phone. Some thing could be improved, but taking in account this is the first smartphone from Nextbit, it's pretty good!
It's good, but not great for me
I absolutely am in love with my Robin, so much so that my 6P just sits in a drawer. The only thing I could ever think of to improve would be using an amoled screen but that's just personal preference.

Phone is really nice. I think the form factor is phenomenal, very light, thin. Great great camera, that thing can focus to almost any macro distance, and quick. I'm impressed with that aspect.
There is a big but, I couldn't get over the quality of the screen. The whites are not even close to white, and text has a shadow of red pixels.
I also thought it wasn't bright enough, it was in Auto and I felt it was very dim. I turned it all the way up and that setting matched the mid level of the EVO 4G.
So for that reason, I wouldn't order it online before going to see it in person if I were you. You may not like the screen.
Turn off auto-brightness. The screen is top-notch.
The unit you were looking at was either faulty, or your trolling. The screen on this device is one of the main selling points and (maybe its my opinion, maybe its fact) SAMOLED+ screens are some of the best, if not the best screens currently being produced.
Development how???
open up your camera app.. thats where you'll get the best idea of the screen. right now ur just looking at icons/etc. its taken me awhile to get used to it.. but after 2 days, its very sharp and crisp IMO.i'm coming from the Evo btw
I just played with it...screen is amazing. I thought the huge screen without a change in resolution would be bad but it was nicer then my ns4g screen..easily
Obviously your eyes are bad because you posted this in the wrong section.
I love the screen, top notch if you ask me.

sure is troll in here. Of all the things you might be able to criticize the screen is the last. Now you may prefer a more accurate desaturated pictures...that's a matter of preference. Typically I do too, I do video editing and if anything is going to sweeten the video it's going to be me--and I have to have accurate colors to know if I am doing that or not.
...but this is a smartphone, it's for browsing and playing games. Sure, the occasional phone call if you have time...saturate the hell out of it.
Whites are white. Quit your trolling. Only a faulty SAMOLED+ would look bad, even to trained eyes who would know how exaggerated the colors are.
i lol at this thread.....the screen..........trolllllllllll
i mean if you dont like it you dont like it, but no point of making a thread just to get flamed
change screen type to movie and see if that helps
trolllllllllll???
I gave the phone great feedback but I'm insisting that the screen has some faults, which i personally won't accept.
If you guys don't like to hear the bad don't read reviews.

I only tried dynamic and normal. Didn't try movie because frankly i was turned off by the whites.
I'll more time to look at it in the few days and check movies setting.

I didn't make a thread to get flamed.
I made it so people know that maybe they should check it out before ordering online. I'm glad I didn't. (especially since my EVO still works nice, if i didn't have a working phone that would be another matter)
I think if you change it that will make it a whole new screen
Wow, you guys are quick with the negative replies. My Epic Touch's screen has a slight blue tint on white backgrounds as well. Not as bad as my old Moment's was, but is very obvious when comparing to computer/laptop monitors, the Evo 3D's screen, and my coworker's iPhone 4.
Edit - Changing to movie mode doesn't help. To see the blue, pull up xda-developers on both the Epic Touch and your computer then hold the phone up to the monitor and compare the white background. It is much warmer on the computer screen and much colder/bluer on the phone.
My Epic had a blue tinted screen. The Photon was a bit more reddish. I don't know if it is the LED style screen or just Samsung parts, but my LED monitor has a blue tint to it also.
I think the bluish tint is normal for the manufacturer, unless its Really bad...
Perhaps more people can compare to other fresh phones, not necessarily phones at the store. Those things get tore up bad in some places, at least they do where I am.
Damned people dragging their kids in and letting the display phones babysit them..
Have had the Galaxy Nexus for a week today. I have to say, this is the most satisfying camera on a phone I've ever used bar none. I have a dslr for those real moments, but use my phone camera multiple times a day to catch candid shots. This thing is just so fast! My dog/cat/car/drunk friends are never too quick to catch with it. Was at a niece's first birthday this past weekend, and I was the only one who could get nice photos of her. Literally every single other device simply took too long to focus and catch what she was doing. This was at a large family gathering with dedicated cameras and phones trying to get shots, and the Galaxy Nexus was the only one that could catch her expressions opening presents etc.
I'll take an MP drop any day of the week to be able to capture the images this thing can. The Galaxy Nexus camera is the best I've used on a phone without a doubt. There are higher quality sensors out there, and higher resolution sensors, but on a phone honestly speed is what I see mattering.
Again, this is a phone. If you're planning on taking extremely high quality shots... then you have a dedicated camera. Given the quality of phone camera sensors, do you really wanna blow a pic up like the 8 or 12MP sensors allow? Hell no. So what does that leave? Speed. And damn, I haven't ever been so impressed. The whole family gathering was in awe. I see people calling the 5MP sensor a downgrade, but wow are they wrong. This year I've owned an Evo, G2x, Sensation, and Epic4G....and not one could capture the things this can. In a week I've taken over 200 shots, while my higher quality but slower Epic hasn't hit that amount in the two months I've owned it.
So if the camera is turning you off about buying a GalNex...don't. It rocks.
Yep, I love it. It takes AMAZING pictures. I believe there are some reviews that bash the camera, but it's honestly user error. They are probably taking pictures way too quickly before it focuses.
I love it. I'm amazed at the photos it produces.
Cool. I'm coming from a G2x and I love its camera so it was a concern but not a deal breaker.
G2x had the best phone camera I've ever had. Colors just popped. I have a 5year old boy so its worth it for me.
G2x - 2.3.7 CM7
Transformer - 3.2 Revolver OC/UV
There's almost nothing more worthless than a slow digital camera. I have a 3yr old and it's about impossible to get a good picture. I'm glad the GN is fast!
Speed is king. I miss no shots.
Quality is suspect though. And no it isn't user error. It's an average camera unless the sun is blazing, then it looks great along with any other cellphone camera.
Same here. I absolutely love the speed of the camera. I keep getting surprised by how fast it is!
Same here.
Before I lost many shutter chance with slow camera.
galaxy nexus's camera is great.

No user error here, can safely say the camera is quite poor apart from the speed - for a mobile though it will satisfy some.

+1, but the speed is quite incredible.
I noted that it is more responsiveness than speed actually, because the camera is not that fast (it is quite hard to freeze a movement with it).
wow. really? i was kinda bummed about the camera. i guess ill have to wait and see for myself....
I had a Nexus for just under a week (long story..) and have to say, the camera was great.
I managed to get a *very* "herpderp" shot of my cat, which I don't think i'd have caught had it not had such a fast shutter. I'll attach the pic later when i'm home from work
Camera app much improved, but camera itself isn't as good as my old Galaxy S2

Could you post a zoomed in crop comparison?
I understand that there is no focus/shutter button lag, but quality wise, can you see the difference?

With all due respect, those shots are all really blurry / grainy. I hope the camera is capable of more than that.

How on earth did you get a shot with that level of detail? I can't get anywhere near that quality, and it makes me wonder whether I have a faulty sensor.
My take on the camera is... Most Android devices by the time the app is up and focused you missed the shot. I would much rather a 5mp shot than have an 8mp camera on my phone with no photo. If I want really high quality I won't be taking them on a phone but on a DSLR.... So in my opinion speed/focus wins out over raw pixel count. I'm VERY pleased with this camera much better than my SGS2!

Yeah, those pictures are pretty bad.
Your friends are never going to believe what you did. The only way to prove it to them is with that video you took. Rate this thread to express how videos shot on the Honor 8 come out. Wish it had OIS. Video is a little shaky, esp at 60FPS.

Yeah, not to mention 4K.
But it performs great when it comes to photos.
---------- Post added at 10:50 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:49 AM ----------
I would give 8/10, but the lack of OIS and 4K makes it 7/10
decent not the best
Good, shaky at times
Quality is good at stills, but not so good at stabilization
The video quality of the Honor 8 is OK. It's not the best that is available on the market nor is it the worst that I have ever seen.
Great,
60 fps is shaky but the slow motion and 30 fps video is pretty darn good. Only wish it had 4k.
I really liked the slowmo feature. Me and my friends had a lot of fun with it,
not the best but decent enough
its good i would say
excellent video quality
Better than most phones with higher price.

I confirm that the video quality is amazing. I like the slow motion capabilities. I have Exynos version.

Here are some Note 7 video captured in slow motion
Video quality is AMAZING but what is the point of having the best camera if you can't send it to your peers (most with iPhones) without being 56k quality videos?
And it's near impossible to get someone to download a 3rd party app that adds memory space to another person's phone only for them to cater to an android trying to reclaim how great your phone camera is
