[Q] [LG G3s] - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, first of all really thanks for this awful forum it helped me a lot in the past. But now i have a huge problem with a device the LG g3s D722 for be more specific i. I have a backlight problem it seems.
The light is at 0 and won't light at all. I can see barely something with some led light trough the display. I tried to restore with hard reset, changed the lcd but nothing. My question is
There is a service manual or someone who know where the backlight ic is located?
If someone could help me would be great :\ Thanks in advice for the replies.

Hi, thanks for trying to help me. If you go on youtube and search for : iPhone 3Gs backlight dim LCD 6R8 coil inductor fix repair. You will know my issues.
In few words i have the brightness at max but i do not have light on the display, seems at 0. I was searching for a schematic PCB of this device for localize the backlight chip without success. If someone here know how to solve this problem or have a schematic of the LG g3 D722 or similar model would be great.

Hadware or Software Issue?

I have the dash for two weeks now (wm6.5)... about 3 days ago and out of the blue the lcd started to show this white scanlines. It was just placed next to the pc and connected by the usb cable when i noticed the problem (it wasn´t phisically damaged). I hard reseted it...nothing. Installed wm6 and wm5 and nothing.. the lines are still there. I am pretty upset with this matter
Is it the lcd or something else..?
How can i fix it and prevent this to happen again?
Does anybody know if this problem is covered by the warranty and under which arguments?
Thanks.
Here is a picture of the screen so you can get an idea...

Maybe something is loose regarding your lcd (hardware), If you haven't dropped maybe you should give a shot with your warranty and probably you will get a new dash
sure you have problem with your display.you must change,or if it is new go to store, for change.good luck, and a happy cristmanth
if you say you already did some hard reseting then it's a hardware problem.. if the warranty does not cover it then try to disarm it following the instructions that you can find in this forum.. suerte amigo!
Thanks guys for the advices. I purchased a new lcd, relaced it and now it works right, seems like the problem is solved. I hope i don´t get any more problems in the future cause the dash has everything i want in a mobile phone.

Broken WiFi and Bluetooth

Hi all. My phone felt on the floor from 1,5 metres and now I get errors while trying to switch on bluetooth or wifi. I wiped all, flashed stock rom with stock boot.img and already done all can I do in terms of software modifications.. Also I deassembled it to be sure any cable is disconnected. In fact seems that all is ok . Surely is an hardware fault but I don't know where wifi and bluetooth hardware is. Can anyone help me telling me where they are ? Maybe with a photo of the internal part of the hox to indicate them.. Maybe I didn't look with attention for a disconnected cable or a broken part..
Also my cpu is unable to go in deep sleep now..
Please help me guys

Google for a YouTube tutorial on changing screen or something, they often explain what each part is as they are disconnecting or reconnecting

this video is for screen replacement but it shows how to remove and replace mobo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIeO0DueMcg
I hope you are not thinking of buying the mobo in the ebay link? it states "untested", "moisture sticker activated" and "ripped cable"!!

Don't know which country you are in, but they are going for about £70 on UK site. Alternatively have you considered just buying the antenna boards? I have seen those going on UK eBay for just under £15

I don't understand. The problem is that the phone, when fully charged, doesn't vibrate. If I were you I would not bother opening up the phone. If you can't live without the vibration then you can replace it, if it's the faulty part.
Unfortunately it's not possible to determine what is causing your problem from this side

It isn`t vibrate, start light or something to show it is live... Thats why i search for other ways to determining motherboard problem with tools. I want to know this other ways  maybe molticet (multitool) + power supply maybe i dont know

Then you will probably have to replace the whole motherboard, or maybe JTAG yours. It's strange though, phones don't usually die.
Did you pull the battery while the phone was on?

Testing the motherboard is theoretically possible, for example with a JTAG or Riffbox, but I assume you son't have one, otherwise you would be running a mobile repair shop and you would know more than most people here as far as mobile tech goes. There is no way of testing the phone otherwise, the only way of having an usable phone again is replacing the motherboard.

No backlight.

Ok so I was on the way to the mall and I plugged my phone to charge in my cousins car and it was charging when I tried turning on the phone the buttons turned on but no screen I took the battery out and put it back in and it took 5 mins for the buttons to light up but still no screen. When I look at the screen in sunlight I can see that it's on but there's no back light. So I'm wondering if anyone knows how or why this would happen? I had to buy a new one because I need my phone on a daily basis. I have 14 days to return it so please help me out if anyone knows anyway to fix it. Please

As always everything you do is on your own risk.

I bought a used one for cheap because it had screen fading problem. I knew I could fix it and now I have working G3! Basically you need to put pressure on the RAM chip because it lost some solder connections to the soc. I recommen using something thermally conductive.
