Will the black Stainless Steel band scratches the watch on the pin connectors? Because there is always a movement on wearing the watch.
I haven't noticed any scratches. I've been wearing it regularly for over 4 months now.
2.5 months here without a scratch.
I do see some discoloration on mine. Hands on desk typing all day. I don't sweat it though, watches are meant to be worn. You can always buy a new band down the road or better yet, the next generation watch . Life is too short to worry about things like that.

I've been highly anticipating this phone for a while, and was wondering if those with the white model have noticed any stains or scuffing on their phones. I keep my phone in my front right jeans pocket most of the time and I'm worried about the denim dye rubbing off. If it easily becomes grubby I might just get the gray model instead.
I've had mine for a week and I have seen a bit of denim staining on it, but only a few small patches and they easily wipe off.
Thanks!
Hi Guys,
Looking to get this watch, but looking for opinion, how durable is this watch ? since i'm bound to knock my watch here and there. Can it survive several drops to the floor ?
Thanks all
I have not tested dropping it on the floor and not sure why would that be the case. It's not something you can drop like a phone.
Anyway, I have had mine over a month now (black with metal band) and the Sucker still looks new. I have banged it few good times but seems to hold up very Well.
I love it and in my opinion the most durable and most elegant looking android watch on the market.
I have my one on hand for about 2 months. The screen is still looking nice, no scratch. I wouldn't try to drop the watch because it is different from phones, you may drop it. You don't need to worry about dropping test on Watch, the only thing you should consider it the screen.
The watch itself is durable from what I've experienced. I can't say the same for the mesh strap. It stopped locking for me and had to replace it with a leather strap.
Thanks all for input looks to be good maybe i should get the leather if the mesh can stop locking

I got the black with black metal strap. So good. Here is my post with pictures when I opened the box. It was an awesome day hehehehe

I have the mesh strap no problems here. I think it can be damaged if you try to close it in a non recessed slot on the back of the band, this would happen if you have to force it to close it. It should clasp closed very easily,if it doesn't then you are not in the right hole.( that's what she said)
Anyway...... I have also dropped the watch as I was putting it on my wrist it slipped out of my hand and fell directly on a hardwood floor over concrete, which is very hard. This was from about 4 feet high. Didn't phase the watch one bit.
My only complaint is that the stainless steel body scratches very easily, but hardly noticeable unless you get the watch right in your face.
Why anybody would buy a normal watch ever again I will never know. Its so cool to have the ability to change the face and it's like having a whole new watch.
I have drop the watch too while putting it on. About 4 feet high, but on concert. Wow that was scary. But watch is fine. No scratches or dings on the watch because of impact and screen still looks great. I was surprised. I would like to see a drop and water test on this watch. Any brave souls out there?

I know right? I wish someone would step up and do some tests. Especially water resistance. The info that comes with the watch says don't shower,or even wash the car with it on.
I just tested mine by throwing it against the wall. Now it has scuffs and the screen shattered.

Bahahaha.... Any pics? I can't wait to try this.
I have the silver version. The metal band around the screen has scuffs when looked in the right light. It is raised around the sceen. Not a fan of the design. It looks good but I would rather have a flat screen. Across the face.

I have the same one. It has a lot of scuffs I'm not sure I'm liking that especially out of just under 2 weeks of use

You're probably going to end up scratching the metal/leather band than the screen itself. That thing is quite durable.
Unless you decide to throw it against the wall. You can break any tech gadget if you throw it against the wall.

Except the almighty Nokia 3310, of course...
Mine has many top scratches on the lugs, but hardly noticeable unless you really look. The mesh strap I don't think will ever show scratches because of its natural textured look, which is quite comfortable and amazing looking.
Zero scratches after 3 weeks!

which watch do you have exactly? just wondering.
Mine is holding up really well. Been using it daily for 3 weeks and it's in mint condition.
I've been using since I bought it in Black Friday and is like the first day
Hi all
This might have been posted before, but if maybe nice to revisit this question again.
Had my watch for about 8 months now and I have only been using it with the metal strap. However, no matter how careful I try to be, I am noticing a fair amount of hairline scratches on the bezel. It's especially visible with the chrome casing...
What do you guys do to polish it out or fix any scratches if possible?
Any ideas?
Like a high quality mechanical wristwatch a few scratches and scars from everyday life doesn't matter to me. It's part of its appeal. My Huawei Watch is no different and has a few scratches on the bezel, casing and metal band. Just as it should be. As long as the glass is unbroken (I've seen many broken iWatches) and not scratched I'm good.
Indeed. I polish my watch every 3 months with a metal Polish and a dremel (polish pad). Works perfectly and almost all scratches are gone. Just don't forget to take off the band and to tape the screen and button)

Look for the soft nail buffers that ladies use on their nails.
They only cost a few dollars & will easily remove any scratches & can buff the surface to either high polish finish or matt finish depending what side of the nail buffer you choose.
I bought a couple of the Body Z one nail buffers barcode no. 9310246042032 & use them on all my watches, yes I have too many.....
I found this tip some where on one of my google searches & I can attest to its success.

I can see your point, but I like my toys to be nice and shinny at all times.

Thanks I think i might give your idea a shot.
Hi All,
I have a SW3 for less than a month. After a week, the bank started looking aged. It was some shiny "patches" here and there......almost like some layer is peeling off. It really doesnt look good and I cannot find a replacement steel band or a 24mm adaptor anywhere locally.
How do you guys maintain the stock black strap?
Peeling? LEL.
My black silicone strap is also shiny in some places, I'm wearing my SW3 almost 24/7 (I only take it off at work since I can't take any electronics with me) but no "peeling" effect occurs. I don't even bother giving a damn about the strap and it looks fine, really!
I only have some minor shiny/glossy fragments.
As long as it doesn't look like 10$ watch, you should not be worried about that, that's the normal case for matte silicone materials especially watch straps which are constantly exposed

Thanks for the reply. By "peeling", I mean it looks like there is a thin layer of matte black which is coming off....revealing a slightly shinier surface underenath. It looks really tacky, especially in sunlight. Disappointed by this strap - after just a weeks it doesnt look great.
Perhaps it will look better when all the matte is worn away.....Just dont know how long that will take.

I remember that my strap looked a little like you're describing after a few weeks of owning the watch. I just popped the watch out of the strap and washed the strap really good in the sink. I used Dawn dish detergent if I recall... and it cleaned up nicely. I've had my SW3 for a couple of years now and my strap still looks good.

My strap doesnt show any peeling at all. I have had my watch nearly 2 years and the only slightly shiny parts on the watch are under the buckle. I change the position summer / winter as its too hot to wear the watch tight on my wrist in summer. My strap does collect lint and dust pretty easily, but apart from the dust/dirt and the buckle wear I dont see any marks on it at all.
I wear my watch 6 out of 7 days but take it off at night. I hope that helps and maybe you could post some pictures of the issues on your strap?
Hi,
Is there anyone face with a discolored S-Pen?
My grey S-Pen become brown after a month of usage. I saw one in the showroom, seems the same.
Thank you,
We wear uniform to our company; which is blue shirt among others. The pen is placed in the shirt pocket, after 3 months, find that the 0.5" around the tip has turned blue. Looks like the coating on the pen which gives the soft touch feel is more absorbent to colour!
Wanted to buy a replacement, uffff INR 8k is too much!
