Can't boot into recovery or fastboot after updating cyanogenmod 13 - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm running TWRP as a recovery.
Was running cm-13.0-20160210-NIGHTLY-m8, and updated using the OTA updater to cm-13.0-20160212-NIGHTLY-m8.zip. I have used this function before and had no issues.
Now all my phone wants to do is load the htc logo stating it's booting into recovery, then the screen goes black and illuminates every couple of seconds to a lighter shade of black. That's it.
Is there any way to force it into bootloader, so I can reflash the recovery?
I've tried holding power nothing happens.
I've tried holding power+volume up and it tries to boot into recovery and fails.
I've tried holding power+volume down and nothing happens.
I've tried holding power+volume up+volume down and it tries to boot into recovery and fails.
I've tried holding power+volume up, and changing to volume down just before it tries to reboot and it tries to boot into recovery and fails.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Fixed
My timing was off from holding all 3 buttons and switching at the right moment. What had happened was cyanogenmod had tried to update (and failed) it's own recovery. Do yourself a favor and disable it in dev settings, and use your regular recovery. Thanks.

How to reboot into recovery

I rooted my G2 about two months ago. I'm currently using MIUI, not the latest but the one before it. Somehow, my phone got turned off and when I tried to turn it back on, it was stuck in a bootloop. I have a custom recovery image so I don't know if that affects anything. I tried to reboot into recovery by pressing volume down and power, nothing happened. I then did volume up and power. It vibrated three times and the orange light started flashing. I pulled the battery and now when I try to turn it on, nothing happens. So how do I reboot into recovery and so I can restore my backup? Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Volume down + power will get you to hboot (bootloader), you can then select recovery from there.
Vol up + power is Qualcomm download mode, which is unusable.

Thank you! I saw that somewhere else and tried it but it didnt work. I plugged up my phone it seems to be charging. I guess I should've done that first because then it came up. I tried reboot now and clockwork came up again so I tried to restore my latest backup and nothing happened. I'm going to let it charge and then try again.

m9 boot loop into recovery

My M9 has been flashed with Viper ROM for several months. This morning, I rebooted my phone as I usually do (it seemed to be running a little bit slow).
It properly shut down; but instead of booting back up, it entered a boot loop. The screen lights up, briefly vibrates, the HTC logo appears for about 3 seconds, then it turns off and reboots.
I am able to press all 3 buttons (+ vol, - vol, and pwr) and get to the bootloader mode (I think) with options to boot to download & recovery modes.
Any attempts to get to any other mode result in the device rebooting after ~3 seconds.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do next? In this bootloader mode, fastboot does not detect it (not sure if it should). I am not aware of any other options.
Thanks for any help!

I can't get to recovery. When I try to boot to Recovery, the phone bootloops just before the Recovery would appear.

Stuck at boot - can't boot to recovery

I just installed flashify and TWRP. When I let flashify reboot the phone, it stuck at the main boot logo. I can get it to briefly reboot with vol down + power, but it just hangs back at the same screen. I tried holding vol up + power + home during that brief period of time but nothing happened.
Any ideas?

I'm experiencing this too, I installed stock firmware and it is still doing this. I need to access recovery so I can clear cache and partition but this damn phone refuses to get to recovery mode. It'll go to download mode no problem, but trying to get to recovery mode is just impossible this way. Anybody???

Boot Loop Problem!

Hello,
A while back I attempted to root my HTC One and I installed CyanogenMod. I've been having a few issues with various things so I attempted to do a factory reset through the settings. I'm now stuck in a boot loop 'teamwin' flashing on the screen every few seconds. I can't turn the phone off and no keys do anything.
Any ideas on how I can resolve this?
Thanks!
Hold power and volume up until screen goes dark then quickly hold power and volume down. Then you can enter recovery and flash a rom or restore a backup.

Bricked

My 7-year old was playing a game on my wife's 3a XL tonight and it shut off. Now it's stuck in a bootloop.
I tried to boot into Recovery, but was greeted with the busted android screen. So I tried to boot into Rescue, with the same result. The bootloader is still locked, so all my attempts to flash factory images or boot into stock boot, I am greeted with the "not allowed" error.
Any ideas how I can recover this, or is it completely bricked?
If your bootloader is still locked you should be able to sideload the stock OTA. I've never heard of not being able to boot to stock recovery either. What method did you use to get there?

When you reach that screen on recovery you hold the power button and tap the vol + button and your options should show up. Just factory reset the device.

I tried to boot to TWRP but couldn't because the bootloader is locked. So I tried using ADB commands to sideload through Rescue, but it only said "error: closed".
Ended up doing a factory reset. (running now)
Haven't seen you in awhile
Well well.... thought i recognized that username. Good to see you again.
Bricked help
I cannot get my phone into fastboot or recovery. It stuck on the white google loading screen loop. I hold the power and volume down and it goes into fastboot but if I release the volume down button to scroll (while holding the power button) it will then go black and go back to the google white loading screen. If I hold down the volume down button and release the power button it will restart back to the fastboot page. If I release both then it will restart and go back to the white google screen. If I do power and volume up it goes to the "andriod no command" sreen then back to the googe white screen. In sum, is my phone recoverable?

I'm guessing its locked because the phone is completely stock. When I get to fast boot I dont hold down the power button, but if I hit the volume up or down it instantly goes back to the google white screen and starts the loop over.

When on the bootloader screen can you fastboot a full image to the phone?
Said another way, try to download the full Google image.. not the ota... Setup a computer with fastboot and driver's boot the phone into bootloader mode and try to run the flashall.bat

Try-Once in bootloader scroll to recovery and press power button. When you see Android on his side hold power button and press volume up button. You should now be in stock recovery. From there you can adb or factory reset.
Edit- to get to bootloader power off phone then hold power and volume down buttons at the same time.
