Suggest of a ROM and Question - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S6

Hello,
I got a suggest for the ROM cookers, if someone can cook a lite stock rom for the G920P, removing all the bloatware from sprint and samsung that we dont need.
The other question is if I can flash thru recovery a G920F Rom in my G920P, and if is fully funtional.
Thanks

TWRP supports the Galaxy S6 now. So yes you can use TWRP. But sadly I haven't found a rom worth flashing. I wish CM12.1 or CM13 was on the S6 already. Although Marshmallow was just released on the S6 and S6 Edge on the 15th. So your carrier should be rolling out the new update soonish.

I use the TeamSPR ROM. It is heavily debloated (as you asked for) yet based off of the latest stock.
My battery life is excellent (due to both the removal of bloat and the custom kernel) and the phone feels faster than ever before.
Why don't you try that? http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-galaxy-s6/development/rom-teamspr-rom-v1-t3310425

[Q] Which Rom/Region?

This seems like a question I should be able to find an answer to myself, but I have searched all throughout the N7100 forum and can't seem to find my answer.
I have the Galaxy Note II International Version (GT-N7100). I rooted it with the Samsung Galaxy Note2 Toolkit
When I rooted, I had version 4.1.1 of android. It didn't get any OTA updates since it was rooted. I would like version 4.1.2 so I can run the Samsung Multi WIndow Manager so that I can use any app in the MultiWIndow mode.
What's the best way to do this? I tried flashing a stock rom, but I got stuck when I was required to download a stock ROM. I'm in the United States, but I don't see any region with United States so I don't know which I should get.
Sooo... Is this the proper way to update the Samsung rom if I had it rooted? Is there a better way?
What rom is best to use? Which region do I need for the U.S.? I mainly want to use the multi-window support and my understanding is that I must use a Samsung rom for that. I believe that was true when I first researched it. Is it still true today?
Thanks!
Maybe I'm being dense but did you also unlock your phone and install a custom recovery (CWM or TWRP?)
If so, you should be able to download a rom for your phone, install and enjoy the fruits of your labors. Look for roms that are based on TouchWiz and you should retain the samsung features you want. AOSP roms are base android and will not have those samsung customizations.
I don't know what "region" has to do with it though, just pick a rom that's compatible with N-7100

Thanks for the response, TrojanDroid. If region doesn't matter and I can install any TouchWiz based rom then that makes me very happy. I've used mods on other phones in the past and never had to worry about region.
Yes, I used the toolkit to install TWRP, Busybox, and Root the phone. The reason I asked about region is because I figured the easiest way to upgrade to 4.1.2 or higher would be to flash the newer stock rom. This is the webpage with an extremely large list of stock roms that the tool left me with though, which is where my question came from: http samsung-updates .com /device/ ?id=GT-N7100 (I can't post links yet)
I use the Samsung Multi Window and S-Pen features often. Is it accurate to say that as long as a rom is TouchWiz based, I will still be able to fully take advantage of those features?
You should update to any latest rom, bcoz 4.1.1 having sudden death bug and your device can be brick suddenly without a reason.
Anyway 4.1.2 stock rom itself having Multiwindow but to use any application in Multiwindow you will need to have moved version.
You can achieve it with xposed module (is simply needs rooted device +two simple apk to install)
Now what I recommend
1.You already have rooted device with cwm then make efs backup (can use Multitool from my signature for that)
2 . update latest rom (like mg1 is good in my point of view) with odin.
3.again you can use Multitool to root device.
4 . find xposed module and framework for Multiwindow mod to use any application in mw
OR
Find AnyMod from my signature and enjoy many extra features on your stock rom.
Goodluck

Thanks for the input. I have now successfully installed Thunder Lite and it seems to fit my requirements. I may investigate and play around with a few other roms in the future as well, since now I know that any Samsung based rom should work for me.
Thanks!

How can I use international roms on t-mobile note 3?

I'm using my T-mobile Jump tomorrow to get a Note 3. Of course, the first thing I'm going to do is: open the box, plug the phone in, then root it. I don't know much about this phone since I have been using an HTC One running Cyanogen Mod. So, My question is, what's the best way to unlock the Note 3's full potential? I.e: I see many root solutions, which do you prefer and why? By rooting and installing custom recovery (TWRP, CWM, ect), am I able to use ROMS on the International Samsung Galaxy Note 3 forums, or am I limited to T-Mobile only offerings? I wouldn't consider myself a NOOB, or a Dev, just an enthusiast who wants to help other enthusiasts, please leave your advice and experiences below.

First thing you need to do is to learn about KNOX, there are dozens of threads related to KNOX so
it's easy to find.
If your new phone is a NOTE 3 and you don't read up on the KNOX issue but simply go and root the
phone your warranty might be void afterwards.
You need to read up on the official 4.3 rom & the MK2 baseband which all new NOTE 3 phones have
before you root or flash any cwm/twrp flashable zip files including roms and kernels.
Once you decide what to do about the KNOX and still want to root your phone and flash custom roms
I would highly suggest to only flash roms in the Tmobile Note 3 forum, & only flash those roms which
are based on Tmobile 4.3 Jellybean Touchwiz firmwares.
Flashing any other roms will result in loosing the ability to use free tmobile wifi calling as well as loosing
most all of the bells and whistle which makes the NOTE 3 such a great phone.
In my experience with custom roms, the Wicked & Darthstalker roms are the only 2 that I would even consider flashing.
Do a lot of reading before you decide or do anything.
Good luck!
Vision X will work just fine, give it a look see also....

Yes, I flashed the Bobcat 3.0 rom too, and it looks like a Million Dollars, best LOOKING rom I have
ever seen... BUT unless the dev who created it can get himself a N900T Tmobile Note 3 phone to
test with, we will never have wifi calling if we flash the Bobcat International Note 3 rom.
I flashed it a few hours ago and am still debating with myself if I want to keep it or not. LOL
Hello!
I have a SM-N900T Baseband N900TUVUBMI7. But unfortunately, there is no Russian System language (not possible to enable it through the setting.)
I live in Russia, in this regard, I have a couple of questions:
1. Does the Russian language in international ROM?
2. What ROM you can recommend with support Russian system language and the maximum cut off apps from T-mobile and ather (consist only samsung apps)?
This "abundance" is useless for me.
I would be very grateful for the link to the thread of this ROM.
P.S.Sorry for the poor english.
Can i Flash 4.4.2 Leaked for SM-N9005 on SM-N900T?.
Hi, can i flash roms for sm-n9005 on my t-mobile note 3?? specially the leaked 4.4.2 kit kat? Thank you.

After flashing this rom on a N900T Galaxy Note 3 phone you will not have
Wifi, Bluetooth or NFC until you flash this wifi-bluetooth-nfc-FIX.zip file.
So you need to flash the rom first, set it all up so it's working properly then
go back into cwm/twrp custom recovery and flash the fix file below:
http://downloadandroidrom.com/file/...en900T/Needed_Files_BT_WIFI_NFC_Flashable.zip
After you flash the fix file, wifi, bluetooth and nfc will all work fine.
Good luck!

Sure you can, you can flash the 4.4.2 kitkat but don't expect everything to work properly,
especially wifi, data and many other things in it still need fixing.
That's why it's called a "leak"..
Good luck!
Does N900T have Russian language as a system language? I intend to root the phone and install Language Enabler from the market. The app reveals hidden languages but before I proceed I'd like to make sure that the phone does have Russian (hidden in it).
Thank you.
Hi, I have similar problem as escudovod1972. Live in the UK and have the T-mobile version (SM-N900T) of the note 3. Would like to have Russian and Lithuanian languages but keep the phone as close to stock as possible.
Was wondering if I could achieve this, by flashing one of these:
"International SM-N9005 Galaxy Note 3 Stock Firmware"
Will I need to flash a T-Mobile kernel separately?
Also if this works, will I loose any functionality?
Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks

You can flash a unified rom aka hlte (more info: http://www.cyanogenmod.org/blog/unified-builds) like cyanogen, carbon rom(using this on my N3 Tmobile in UK just now), AOKP and many more(safe to say that all have Russian), if you like the AOSP/AOKP look. Or go for X-note or other touch wiz based unified roms.
Anyways, take a look here for more info and rom lists: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3#romList
Hope this helps

I try all the roms, before posting them, make a backup then flash the rom,,, N9005XXUENE3_hlte_Stock_Odex_Not_Rooted_NoKnox.zip
I would not advise flashing the firmware... your rooted, its safer just flashing the rom...

Is anyone having issues flashing Aroma ROMs on 4.4.2 Rooted?

This is my device at this point:
1. Rooted 4.4.2
2. Stock T-Mobile ROM
3. I can flash SinLess ROM v2.1.2 with no issues after reboot
ANY Aroma ROM I try to flash (for example, DARTHSTALKER_NOTE3_V6), after reboot after installing results in a bootloop at the Samsung screen.
Are NONE of the Aroma ROMs not working on the T-Mobile Note 3?
I would really like to flash the DARTHSTALKER_NOTE3_V6 but can't if I can't get past the Samsung screen on a bootloop.
Any help would be most appreciated.
Darthstalker is a 4.3 base ROM. It won't work on a 4.4 bootloader, which is what you have if you took the OTA or flashed the Odin 4.4 package. It's not Aroma, it's just that most of the Aroma installer ROMs haven't been updated to 4.4 yet. And Samsung made the bootloader incompatible, so once you are on 4.4, you can't boot a 4.3 ROM.
Same with recovery. Make sure you flash 4.4 bootloader versions of TWRP/CWM or it won't boot.
so what IS a 4.4.2 with Aroma and NOT AOSP?

Thank you for the insight, I was seriously under the (wrong) impression that DeathStalker was a 4.4.2 ROM. I really didn't know.
IS there a list of 4.4.2 stock rooted ROMs with Aroma? You wrote "most of the Aroma installers haven't been updated to 4.4 yet." Which have? It's very confusing because honestly, i was looking and didn't see that DeathStalker was a 4.3 ROM. I went back and looked and noticed a bunch of JB stuff in the list of enhancements which gave it away.
Well, if anyone can suggest a good stable 4.4.2 ROM with Aroma and not AOSP, I want to keep the SPEN functionality that is still missing in CM. Although I do LOVE CM. Used it religiously on my S3.
thank you in advance.
I honestly don't know of any that have. Any reason you want an Aroma installer? It's not like you see it after the install is done. Most modded stock ROMs will list the "base" ROM they started from in the OP. Check that, and if it's a 4.4 base, it will likely work fine on your 4.4 bootloader phone. There's going to be a bit of a rough patch for a while as the ROMs get updated and users get updated. You just have to read up on each one to verify before installing. Just do a thread search for "bootloader" or "4.4" and read some of the posts. Chances are, it's been asked and answered in the thread if you look.
I'm just running a rooted stock build without Knox/CIQ, the stock ZIP that teshxx posted in the dev forum. Then just used Titanium Backup to un-install any bloatware I didn't want. Add a few Xposed modules, and it's a quite good ROM.
If you like CM, the SPEN does work. It acts a bit like a mouse. It's the built-in apps that don't work. You can replace the functionality of many of them. But if you really like some of them, that's not a great option. I ran CM/AOSP builds for a while, but decided the stability of a stock ROM was more important to me right now. I'll probably be back on CM after a while. I like the speed boost from the slimmer ROM.
Awesome reply

What a thoughtful and excellent reply. Thank you very much. I'm looking at MyROM Revolution and may download that.
Honestly, I wanted Aroma because it seemed so much more customizable upon installation rather than taking the vision that a dev had for the ROM they created. I may well be wrong and thank you for the update on CM and SPEN, good to know. I just didn't check out the official CM thread as I had heard no SPEN support yet.
I'm running Sinless ROM and while good, it has a certain non-customizable feel to it. Just looking for something lighter, just not as light until everything is stable of CM.
thank you and if anyone has any suggestions for any 4.4.2 ROMs with (or without) Aroma please pass them on.

It's that one. N look at there questions&answers thread has how to flash it basically download wifi nfc blue tooth fix and wootevers kernel. Wipe of course. Flash rom(CSC is default and also choose NO kernel) one done go on and flash wootevers kernel then the wifi fix. Zip should be a go I did it reverse and wifi was bad flashed it again all gravy

Oh also the side effect I had. It deleted everything in my internal so make sure you put the kernel and wifi fix on ext SD so you'll hace it available. You'll eventually get your pictures back and music too but not 3rd downloads from the net or apps like wallpapers of screen shots. Be aware

For quite a while, the t-mobile update was the most current update period and ran just as stabile as any international rom. I recommend trying the recent nf1 room from t-mobile and using Titanium backup to freeze unwanted bloat. Can't go wrong with either effortless or vision.

So you got a N900T Tmobile phone and want the best and most compatible international
custom rom, well there is only one to choose from in that catagory and it's the X-NOTE.
Unlike other N9005 roms this one does not need any wifi/nfc/bluetooth fix file for it to work.
But best of all it's truly a work of art and it will even work properly on the Tmoble network
without the need to flash any Tmobile kernels.
It comes bundled in the Aroma installer which has ton's of options as to what exactly
you want to install and what you would call junk/bloat and so forth.
But if your really into a stripped down rom and only want more or less the very
basics, why not simply flash a AOSP/CM CyanogenMOD rom?
Those have so much ripped out that the twrp/cwm flashable zip file including the
gapps is way under 3-4 hundred megs in size compared to the 1.4 to 1.8GB
full featured custom roms.

I use AOSP(I have a backup of CM11) and Touchwiz, but when I use Touchwiz, I would rather have it the way Samsung would probably want it, without carrier junk. I'll check into X-Note too. I think it's safe to say that I'm still new to the Note 3 scene.

Here is the link to the X-NOTE Kithread where you can read all about it before
downloading: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2472301
Good luck!

I've been looking for a new ROM. X-Note looks good, but i'm wondering how well it works on the N900T. I know you can install it with a patch and kernel, but does it run the way it's supposed to if it really was made for the international version of the Note 3?

I am running X-Note now and I have a Tmobile branded N900T Unlocked Note 3 and
the x-note rom works great with it.
One of the niceties about it is the fact that you don't need to apply or flash any patches
for the wifi/nfc/bluetooth to work properly and you don't even need to flash a kernel.
The X-note rom is so compatible to the Note 3 N900T that all it really needs is a full
and complete wipe including factory reset in twrp/cwm recovery before flashing.
Good luck!

Hey, I'm using a N900T, and was wondering if there are any TW ROMs that are compatible with mines with a clean international base. I don't use WiFi calling or anything, so I don't need it. I can do without the T-Mobile customizations.

Looking For Deodex/Debloated ROM T800 aka Samsung 10.5...

Okay so I am very new to T800 (Samsung 10.5 Wi-Fi) as I just received mine this week. I am not completely a newbie when it comes to flashing ROM's. I have already rooted and installed TWRP on my T800. What I am wanting is a ROM that is completely Debloated (or has Aroma where I can pick what I want to install) without all the Samsung crap that came with it. I found this ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/development/prerooted-stock-touchwiz-rom-t2973107
Has anyone installed it on their T800? I read through quite a few posts but can't find much for the new 2.1 version that was released on the 8th. I just want a ROM that is stock but without all the bloatware. Just a clean simple ROM but keeping the stock look. Can anyone help me. I have searched Google as well as XDA and maybe I am just looking in the wrong spots or not looking hard enough? My brain is on overload with everything I have read. Oh I have the Lollipop bootloader and would like to keep 5.02.
Please someone help? THANKS! :good:

I'm currently on ironrom now. As of now there's no aroma on the lollipop builds. But I'm running it now and it's really smooth.
