ID300 smartphone is a dual card dual standby smart phone which can use two SIM cards. So that we can easily distinguish between different types of calls, one SIM card used to work, another SIM card used to contact friends and family. One for working another for rest, so when you are working, you will not be disturbed, and when you have a rest, you will not be disturbed too.
Hi
I really would like to turn my two phones into one and am considering getting a one M8 dual sim but would like to know how well the dual sim functionality work?
I know the mod support is properly bad but I don't mind that if I can get rid of a phone.
It's works perfectly. Only drawback is that the update s are slow in coming compared to the single sim type.
hi..im not sure if its the correct forum..i just like to know have anyone tried using the g4 dual sim to a g4 single sim?
Hello, i have the sam A705FN (non dual sim varient, however other network providers here do have the DS varient)
When i took this phone i assumed i would get th Dual sim varient.
I see on my sim tray i have shouldhve had space for 3 cards (one last slot is blanked out)
Now my question is, if i get a ds varient sim tray will i be able to ise dual sim, even if i need to somehow flash the ds firmware.
And does the fn varient even have the hardware to support dual sim

all A705FN firmwares are for dual sim , exept on your device the dual sim is greyed out , you can buy a dual sim varient but tell me whats your country and service provider

I don't think you can use dual sim even if you used the tray form a dual sim model. If the phone only shows 1 IMEI number the device probably only has 1 sim card slot.

true but you can trick the phone by adding a 2st imei from another phone , also the firmware check of your hardware is compatible , so if it detect a dual sim it could theorically work and the settings would appear again or not be greyed out anymore

How can we be sure that there is a second sim card reader in it?

Yeah you can't be sure. My guess would be that it does not have a second sim card reader because it doesn't make sense for a company to make hardware and disable it through software (Even though it could and has happened). Cant be sure until somebody does a teardown comparison.

Hey, sorry for only getting back to you now, life has been busy..
but here's what's happened since i last posted.
I have an a70 from MTN-SA (mobile telecommunications network south Africa)
it is a single sim tray.
i used a sim tray from the Samsung galaxy a50 Dual sim variant, with no second sim detected unfortunately.
i wonder if the device has the hardware to support a second sim. If so, i do have an extra IMEI number to use that i got off a cheapo dual sim china phone.

i wondered the same thing.. But there is a dual sim variant of this device out in the wild.
My country doesn't allow dual sim (only with 2 specific carriers [cell-c & Telkom Mobile (8ta)])
so it's weird that they would make two separate hardware revisions for the same market?
I'd like to buy a OnePLus 11 from amazon but does it support dual active sims? I'd like to be able to load balance my data between the 2 sims from different carriers. Is this possible?
Or combine the data throughput from 2 sims from the same provider. Is this possible?

Yes it does. You can use two physical sims or one physical and one esim. I use two physical sims. Verizon and T-Mobile.
As for how dual sims work in Android... You select which sim you want to use data one. You don't use data from both sims at the same time. Though, you can easily pick which one you want the data for.
Both will be able to send and receive calls and texts. Though you pick your primary/default sim for what calls and texts default to.
Thank you!, Now if I can just figure out rooting so I can get call recording going.
That's not dual active. That is dual standby. You won't find any phone with dual active sim in US.
Did you need to buy a dual Sim tray?
Thanks
Oneplus has 3 sim slots: dual nano sim tray and one esim.
Tried to dual esim and sim together but some reason on sim can do nothing but text can't use it for calls since I want esim for data
Well if u use esim and sim, sim can't be Verizon
