So i think i overlooked something while using "low effort root". I though the steps just fine, but at the end i overlooked where itsaid to wait for the phone to reboot then type "LEAVE" to exit. Well i just left. I know, im a noob, but ive done this before using "rockmymoto" on my droid maxx. (which to me seemed more difficult)
Anyway, im stuck in "download mode". I can remove the battery and attemp to boot, which gets it stuck at the boot screen. I can even boot up into stock recovery, but none of the options do what they're supposed to. (factorty reset doesnt evev work.). Ican still boot into "download mode".
I think i might be stuck somewhere btween stock and root.
My appologies if this isnt the right forum in whick to discuss this, is there a way to fix this issue?...................................Ive also searched elsewhere , askung is last resort for me.
Thank you in advance.

My soft brick Verizon gnex is giving me a bit of trouble. It was stock, locked, and all those other things that you all probably frown upon, but worked fine for me and I had not reason to change this. It got stuck in a boot loop and a hard reset and wipe didn't do anything. I found efrant's guide and got everything set up. fastboot devices results in a correct read of my device and I can run fastboot reboot-bootloader, which I did as a check to make sure computer to phone commands were working fine.
The problem is that when I run fastboot oem unlock, I get the unlock bootloader?, can scroll to "Yes" and then my phone gets stuck there...indefinitely. I've let it go for up to two hours and don't get anywhere. If I terminate with a battery pull/ unplug, I get a "too many links" error. Running wug's toolkit does the same thing. Rebooting into fastboot works, but the phone is still locked. If I select "No" on the unlock screen, I get the Google splash forever. Any suggestions?
i hate to ask this question... but...
when you scrolled to yes, did you press the power button to accept the selection?

I wish the solution were that easy (though if I were that stupid....yikes). I did hit the power button and cannot scroll to No. The device is really just stuck there. My cmd prompt is just hanging (...) too. I suppose it could be that the communication is only going one way (computer to phone) but somehow isn't going phone-to-computer. I've tried different drivers/cords/USB ports, but (right now) don't have another computer that I can play around on.
I may give it one last driver reinstall try, but it's looking like Odin is the way to go?

No dice. Samsung offered to let me send it back, but I never got around to it. If you send yours in and/or figure it out, let me know and I may turn my current paperweight into something usable. Best of luck, and sorry I don't have more to offer!
OK thanks for clearing that out. I have tried everything, it seems that memory is corrupted and that's why bootloader can't format it and is stuck at unlocking... I will update if I found anything.

Hello Im Terry
Well this is far from my first root and flashing roms to phones....
i recently got a lg g2 sprint device 4.2.2, and of course i came here to root it, now the root was simple went through fine using a method i found here on the site... after this i wanted to put a different rom on it... well i installed twrp recovery, then i was trying to boot up into recovery, it wouldnt work at all whatsoever, wether i tried turning the phone off and holding the power and volume down button, releasing when screen turns on for a second then pushing them both again... this would just load the normal sprint screen, so i would try through the twrp program to reboot into recovery and the exact same thing happened.....so i googled it and i found this method to "supposably" fix it...
teamw.in /project/twrp2/197 <----- sorry about the space there but the forum wouldnt let me post the link and i cant describe what i did to cause my problem if i cant post this link.
i used the method here with the file for sprint phones.
now after doing this i tried to reboot into recovery mode using the power and volume down method, still nothing, so then i tried through the twrp program, well what happens is a screen comes up, which when ive searched this its only people that cant get past this screen and there phone is soft bricked.... [470] fastboot mode started and on the line under that it says [520] udc_start()
this is a black screen and it stays there.... now i found a file here that a guy put on the phone to help get wifi working, which i can be happy with the phone if i cant figure out how to put a rom on the phone if i can atleast be able to tether my phone since that is one of the main reasons i root, well when i tried to flash this file using the twrp program with the phone on it rebooted to the black screen with fastboot and udc_start
so basically i cant get into recovery mode at all, and i havent been able to this entire time, i could never even get to the initial sprint option to erase all settings holding those 2 buttons down.
now obviously i want to fix this, i want to figure out how to get into recovery mode. and i just got this phone from sprint 2 days ago so it already has the sprint spark update, im not sure if that what might be causing all of this if its incompatible with sprint spark or not... i know the 1 rom i looked into said it was incompatible with it, but i didnt see anything with the others....
so after figuring out how to get into recovery mode and fix my recovery mode can someone please tell me which of the roms that are currently out for my phone are compatible with sprint spark if any. thanks so much and i hope somebody can help me. have a great day and take care
well just a quick update, i uninstalled and reinstalled twrp now this is what i get when trying to boot into recovery from the app
[470] fast mode started
520 udc_start()
690 - reset -
700 -port change-
890 STALL GET_DESCRIPTOR 128 6 1006 0 18

Since your phone is only new, have you tried calling the tech support of Sprint? Or have you tried going to Sprint store to help you out with that?
to the post above me... yea that sounds like a great idea, hey sprint can you help me root my phone so i can tether without you charging me? thanks guys!... can you please not troll? if you're not going to help you dont have to respond. Thanks!
so i followed this post now, what i didnt do was patch loki on the newer vza firmware.... so i followed this thread here which is supposed to fix that... and yet im still having the same thing, btw as i posted the change in commands before its because i had my phone plugged into my computer that it showed me that.
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2522965
im not sure what im doing wrong here, but as i go through this i will surely document it incase someone else runs into the same problem in the future.
thanks for any help in advance
i made a mistake when i was doing this.... after everything when it says to use flashify to find the file... it wants you to find what is now the updated twrp 2.6.3.3 version and flash that as the last step... this is now complete. if anyone else runs into this in the future hopefully you dont do something slightly stupid like i did. thanks again xda developers cuz your all some genius ass people with all this info here

Turns out you have to downgrade your ABOOT, I had the same problem .. ...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2627765
Follow those instructions to downgrade to zv7-aboot.img, then use FLASHIFY to flash the TWRP recovery image .. ...
also, the problem i was having with booting into recovery is i just have to hold the power and volume down buttons till i get the recovery menu.... not let go when the light comes on like a bunch of things say....
also if anyone knows, it says the d3rp g2 rom doesnt work on spark that it will guaranteed brick my device, now i have it fully backed up and i could just do a test run and see... although i dont feel like having to mess with that....
has anyone successfully flashed d3rp to the spark version? and if that is incompatible none of the other roms mention anything about it.... so if someone could tell me which roms do work on the spark version i would appreciate that...
also +1 to the guy that offered help after i figured it out. i appreciate it!
Well technically i'm not really stuck on fastboot mode considering I can take the battery out and it loads up fine, but the fact that I've been trying to flash a new recovery, TWRP to be exact and I can't seem to do it, All it does is go to a black screen with "680Fastboot mode" in the top left hand corner and doesn't do anything from there, I've waited up to 15 minutes, take in mind I'm also relatively new to this so I may be doing something obviously wrong, but does anyone have some light to shine in this matter?
Thanks in advance?
the easy way to fix that is factory reset.
Can't do that just goes right back to fastboot mode started
How are you flashing the recovery?
Tried both the adb way and flashify neither works
You get the fastboot screen when trying to boot into recovery?

I'm guessing you've used a "Root Lollipop (No-Downgrade) Method" and then tried to Flash new "Recovery". You still need to Downgrade the aboot image to KitKat Image. Go here:- http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/guide-update-to-lollipop-root-bumpd-twrp-t3048845 read OP then goto, Page 16, Post #153 for Imageprep tool. That will give you TWERP. To be honest if you can, use the Downgrade Method, it's been around longer and does not have as many pitfalls (IMHO).... .....

Hey All,
I have searched the forum for this but i dont seem to get the same issue. And i dont want to make things worse, so i post it here. Hope you guys and galls are able to help.
So what happend. I wanted to flash back my G3 d855 16Gb Eur model.
Something allong the way went wrong, and i dont know what. All i know is that when i came back my phone was turned of. And my pc gave a failed message.
Now i cannot get in to download mode anymore. It gives me the LG boot logo and that is it.
When i want to enter download mode i get the download mode logo, with in the top left corner a verification error.
It goes quite fast so i cannot get the exact message. Can anyone point me in the direction of a fix. Ore is it indeed really dead?
Hello and thank you for using Q/A,
if you can't enter the download-mode, your mobile is dead. You may flashed a wrong firmware and the bootloader was overwritten with a wrong device.
Can you enter into Recovery?
Kind regards
Trafalgar Square
Nope, the phone reacts when i connect it to the pc. I get the android bootlogo. And when i power up with volume -, the i get the factory reset options but it dont work.
would the wiretrick help me out ?

Can you reboot your phone into recovery mode (If it is already rooted and custom recovery installed).
I also faced a problem like that. In my problem when i reboot into download mode it took me to fastboot mode with 4 to 5 commands on left upper edge. If you can boot into that "fastboot" mode then tell me so i can help you better.
If you can't see anything like above then tell me that too i will try best to help you get out of this problem>>
No I don't get those options.
I get some kind of miss match error
exact error is:
boot verification failed
cause mismatch_sig_len
Hey All,
Just want to let you know, that i have been struggeling with my phone for two weeks. Offcourse not 24/7. But it is back alive. I managed to do the wiretrick and i was able to load up the Qualcom 9008 driver. After a long struggle i even managed to get the phone reconized by board diag. From that on it was easy to flash back all partitions. And download/firmware update mode was back. After this all i was able to flash the KDZ file.
I then lost my IMEI, but i backed up my EFS and all other importend files in the beginning. After rooting and flasing my EFS all was back to normal.
So ... i quess the d855 is indeed unbrickable

hi, I had this also but I can go to recovery mode but not download mode.. can you help me? thanks in advance
Lemme set the scene, im doing my thing, rooting my phone with the great guide of sd_shadow and when i get to the flashing .img file i have no idea what it means and how to do it, i then search up how, find another thread saying something along the lines of "fastboot erase system" and the obviously "fastboot system flash system.img" or whatever, so i do the first act and that goes well, and then i do the second one and nothing happens, so i try to boot up and im stuck in a bootloop where the glorious motorola logo pops up, then goes back to the "this phones bootloader has been unlocked, hackers can easily steal your data." i know im making this sound lighter than it really is as im using it as a temporary coping mechanism (is a way to put it) but i have no clue, i did not install twrp so that sucks and i have no idea what to do, any help would be thankful and if anything is needed from me i will happily supply, thanks in advance!
i changed flashboot to fastboot, im going insane
im installing a moto g10 capri .zip thing, ive completely forgot, my walls are closing in, aaaaaaaaaaaa
tis completely screwed, thanks for viewing!
