Is there any way to create dialer codes on the homescreen?
If I save it as a contact it merely tries to dial the number.
I downloaded Hidden Features FREE Sammy Edt which allows me to create a custom dialer code but it saves it within the app, there is no option to save it as a shortcut.
Try anycut it's free in the market. I think its what your looking for.
*#*#4636#*#
how to create a shortcut or widget to this menu?
store it into your contacts and add a widget to this contact.
I have tried that , unfortunately it try to ring this "number" so it doesnt work this way.

Try with this code
*#*#7378423#*#*
There's two separate hidden menus
*#*#SERVICE#*#* (or) *#*#7378423#*#*
*#*#INFO#*#* (or) *#*#4636#*#*
If you want to change the SMS Service Centre number, you'll need to do it through the INFO menu.
So noone knows how to create widget / shortcut for those "hidden menus"
???
It would be nice to have that instead of "dialing the combination"
thanks
You can try an USSD checker app but not sure if it will work because it normally starts with an asterisk (*) and ends with a hash (#).

Do a search for 4636v2 on Google Play. There is a shortcut that you can download and put on your homescreen that will do this.
Download ' Hidden Menus ' from Google Play store.

it doesnt work either
In the App drawer on the tmobile version there is 2 folders (one for tmobile apps and another for google apps).
Did lg lock the ability to create additional folders?
I'm using an unbranded firmware (10i) and it doesn't come with QSlide and neither is it available in the Update Centre.
Where can I get it?
I cant find anything to do with QSlide in system/app or system/priv~app, any other location or apk name?

It's the function that lets certain apps pop-out such as messaging or the tasks app etc.
It has a little icon on the app that lets you make it pop-out but it's not on any of the unbranded firmwares that I've seen.
Is it activated in your quick settings menu? Go to edit and tick it's check box to activate.

ok, all the apps are enabled in qslide settings but messaging app doesn't have the icon to activate it.
Neither does phone/file manager.
however, if I disable them all, the calendar/phone apps still have the option.
Weird.
For Security I hide my Apps like Text, E mail, cos my work
& use SwipePad - Gesture Launcher
So is there a option to Hide apps on Note 7 or do i have to Install Apex Launcher
Thanks
Yes, it's called Secure Folder.

Samsung decided to remove the option to hide apps in the app drawer,
replacing it with an uninstall/disable feature instead.
Before, with the hide feature, you could simply hide third-party apps
that were barely used or that you didn't want others to see.
Now, you can only completely get rid of them.
I did this for the bloatware apps that couldn't be uninstalled, but also for some of the apps which I only use when traveling overseas which isn't more than once or twice a year. Guess need to wait and see how this new security works
Thanks dkb218
You can just disable packets and that is for all apps no root needed just pc or a paid app
If you disable them they won't show up in the drawer, but then again you won't get any notifications or messages until you enable it again. I think something like any package Disabler will work this way.
Add app to the secure folder and uninstall it from the app drawer.
