[Q] gapps

Are gapps packages ROM specific or can you flash any gapps package over (dirty flash) a package already on your phone?

Some are ROM specific it usually states it in the op of the ROM thread.

technically speaking, when /system is formatted, gapps are deleted as well, since gapps recovery install script puts them in /system/app.
some roms also have scripts that preserve currently installed gapps when flashing.

I recently installed Codename Android 3.6.5. and after that Gapps provided for CM10 (just Google Gapps, first link). All working fine so far.

Gapps - liquid smooth rom

Hi if anyone has advice- I cannot get gapps installed with this rom- the download page is unavailable and downloading it from another source wont show up in odin. Not sure what I am missing?

I used minimal edition gapp. You must flash gapp with TWRP.

I did not create this rom 'm just sharing all the credits are the moonlight.
The lastest version TWRP (2.8.7.0) or PhilZ Touch recovery is recommended.
Installation:
Clean Installation
1. Download the ROM.
2. Download the GApps.
3. Back up any and all important data.
5. WIPE DALVIK/CACHE/DATA/FACTORY RESET.
6. WIPE SYSTEM.
7. Flash the ROM in recovery.
7.1. DO NOT FIX PERMISSIONS AFTER FLASHING, doing so will cause a bootloop.
8. Flash the GApps.
9. WIPE DALVIK/CACHE (for good measure).
10. Reboot Device.
Dirty Flash/Update
1. Download the ROM.
2. WIPE CACHE/DALVIK.
3. Install the update zip from recovery.
3.1. DO NOT FIX PERMISSIONS AFTER FLASHING, doing so will cause a bootloop.
4. WIPE DALVIK/CACHE (for good measure).
5. Reboot Device.

Thanks for this new rom. I have a question. Does this rom have the same camera problem of the cm12.1 roms? If there is, it will be critical for me to use it.

The problem concerns ? I had no problem with me and it's based on cm with the latest changes .

The problem concerns camera. When i open it first no problem. Once you try again you face a strange problem. The camera doesnt shoot or open till you restart. This is a usual issue of CMs. But in some roms i didnt see this problem. If this rom doesnt have this issue i can try it.

I tried this rom. I havent seen any bugs yet. But sometimes last apps are laggy. When you download a file the browser give fc and closes itself theb the download begins. Thats all. Thanks to the developers...

Updating Resurrection Remix ROM.

I installed it one week ago, but then I realised my version is kinda outdated..How do I update it?Do I have to go through the exact same succes, or can I skip wiping data?a detailed guide would be awesome, I'm a noob.Also, one more thing.
If RR gets updated to M, can I use the same steps as if I would update it from a 5.1 LP build to another 5.1 LP build?

-INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS-
- Download the latest build
- Download Gapps
- Take a nandroid backup
- Recommended - Full wipe and factory reset
- Flash ROM using latest Recovery
- Flash Gapps
- Reboot.
- Enjoy!

- Download the latest build of Resurrection Remix ROM
- Take a nandroid backup
- Flash ROM using recovery
- Flash Gapps
- Wipe cache
- Wipe dalvik cache
- Reboot

[rom] lineage 18 / android 11 [chiron]

Some days one user send me a PM with a link to sourceforge to download lineage18 for our device. I'm not the creator of the rom, just i want to share the link for those users that want to try it and use this new version of Android.
I tried it and so far I didn't find any bug, just battery drain is high in my opinion but I didn't flash the last release of November, I flashed an older one and all was smooth and nice.
* How to install:
- download the rom
- go to recovery ( i use orangefox 10 sar )
- wipe cache, dalvik cache, data, system
- flash the zip file ( gapps are included in rom )
- reboot and setup
- (optional) reboot again to recovery if you want to install magisk, flash it and reboot.
