I have an international unbranded D855 just flashed with stock European MM kdz, unrooted.
After flashing I wasn't able to see my wireless router, the G3 didn't even show my 2.4GHz wireless network SSID in the network list!!!
Any other device in my house was connecting flawlessly with the same wireless router, and also the same G3 was previously able to connect.
I was just thinking about a MM wifi problem and preparing to flash back KK, Lollipop, 21C modem... bla bla...
Until I decided to check the router settings and noticed that the router's Auto channel selection option had chosen the channel 12: well... channel 12 is legally and perfectly usable in my country, but I remembered that in USA the last allowed channel is 11..
Just to be sure, I forced the router to use a channel between 1 and 11 and voila'... now the SSID was found and a wireless connection established.
The moral of the story:
the leaked stock European MM version doesn't allow to use 2.4 GHz channels 12 and 13 that are allowed in the European countries....
Any suggestion on how to enable these 2 channels?
Hi, I have Poland V30B ROM and europen version of G3 (D855). And few days ago I changed channel of my wifi router to 13, because I had slow download speed, because in my region are many wifi networks with lower channels. And G3 flawlessly connect to my router. I had hidden SSID, so I had wifi network manually created. I had only one problem with older laptop Lenovo, and that did not see channel 13, I made upgrade of wifi adapter driver and then laptop connect to wifi successfully too
Did you enable 40 MHz channel width on your 2.4 GHz wireless b/g/n/ac router?
I have Channel Width on Auto.. Options are: Auto, 20MHz, 40MHz

Is your version different from the one I installed:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/lg-g3-d855-stock-30b-marshmallow-kdz-t3283187
I think it's the same... I have this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/stock-d855-30b-images-kdz-flashables-t3282012
Then it looks like you have installed the hybrid modem (or 21A), while I have the original 30B... correct?
This might be the difference...
Yes, I have hybrid...
You can try it, maybe your problem will be solved
Then write if it caused modem

Unfortunately I can't root to install the hybrid modem zip (no TWRP available)
Waiting for an official update or a way to change the channel range (maybe using a secret code?)

Just available right now in Italy under the carrier Vodafone IT a firmware update for the LG Optimus 7 which finally enables tethering/internet sharing on the device.
Firmware now is 1.0.16.10
Source, in Italian:
http://www.plaffo.com/2011/10/lg-optimus-7-disponibile-un-nuovo-aggiornamento-firmware
Hidden Wi-Fi are also now available after this update
Weird. I got an update but my firmware and radios are still at 1.0.31.10 :-/
Would this apply to LG Quantum (7Q) as well?
Canada
Dang, I wonder if rebranding it using the registry editor would make the firmware update available in Canada (Telus)...
I got this!
Received the update this morning on Vodafone UK. Firmware and Radio both updated to 1.0.16.10 and WiFi tethering is present as is hidden wifi network support.
The bad news is that the GPS problems experienced with 1.0.13.10 are still the same. As nice as it is to have the Wifi additions, I'd rather have had the GPS issues fixed
Still no update for me, even though I have an open market Optimus 7...
My OPT7 brand TIM with 1.0.2.10 firm have not received the update...
Are tricks or solutions?

I got the GPS to work properly with this firmware by making the following changes with MFG:
In Engineer Menu / Device Test / Sensor Test / GPS Test / GPS Setting / System Setting:
URL supl.vodafone.com:7275 (Default)
posnode 255 (Default)
2G Loc Estimate
3G Loc Estimate (Default)
Use Security No Use
MO Method Control Plane
With Security On, the lock kept dropping. With MO Method as User Plane (the default) it took much longer to get locks.
For me at least, everything seems to work fine with these settings with the new LG firmware update. I've not used the MFG GPS Viewer to kick start things, and I've turned my phone off and on again many times without touching the location settings and everything works as it should.
Not sure what the implications of not having Security enabled are, I guess it could mean that someone (who???) could intercept the location data but since I'm neither a spy or on a military mission I think no-one's going to bother. Nothing but location is transmitted so there's no hacking potential.
also with european unlock firmware is not available the last update firmware
I have Galaxy Tab S 8.4 T700 (wifi model).
Is possible to conect modem 3G in USB port, with other app, to use internet like a wifi?
Download ppp widget 2. Confirmed working with my Huawei modem.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.draisberghof.pppwidget2&hl=en_GB
Some modems can be seen as ethernet adaptor, (ZTE MF 667 as a sample), if your modem support ethernet function, it is possible. Connect to ethernet, then try to open modem web page with the ip number 192.168.0.1 in chrome (it may be different your tablet. control it in device section). If you can see the modem web page just click to connect.
I use turkcell winn modem (may be the modem software special for turkcell), but anyone can build a java script to connect using ethernet function. I find this solution in Pardus (Debian based Turkish linux system), then try in tabs and succeed
Hi fellows, I recently acquired a LG G3, an astounding phone, but then I realize it doesn't connect to 4G/LTE network. I'am an advance user and I' double checked APN, Carrier Service, and all configuration staff, also I had read a lot about troubles people is having with this, but my trouble is less common, I had the 4G/LTE option available and enabled in Mobile Networks menu, but my phone just doesn't connect to 4G/LTE it just stays in HSPA. Well, I' have tried the most common solutions and none works for me, here is what I've tried:
1. Go to hidden menu: 3845#*855# -> LTE Only -> Modem Settings-> RAT SELECTION->GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto (this just restore my HSPA and cellular connection when solution 2 fails)
2. Go to hidden menu: 3845#*855# -> LTE Only -> Modem Settings->LTE Band Selection (here I switched to every band, some give me a Success other Failed, nevertheless I got no signal service unless I do solution 1)
3. Change build.prop telephony.lteOnGsmDevice from 0 to 1( it changes it, but after reboot it comes back to 0, nothing happen )
4. Renaming LTE Config apk and rebooted(I rebooted then the it says the phone is upgrading and after that nothing happen)
Now I'm sure it is something related with the phone region and my current location because my firmware has suffix ASEATN (Asian)and I'm living in Ecuador currently, but I'm skeptic about the risk of flashing and changing the region.
Can anyone give some guide or advice about my specific problem, I'm willing to do advance user staff. Thanks in advance!
These are my phone specs

I have exactly the same problem.
I'm from Peru and the model is D855P. I used to have 4G LTE when I first bought it, but after installing CloudyG3 (Lollipop), I was never able to connect to 4G again. I have the option but it never really connects. I have to set it to 2G/3G only.
It's curious that when I traveled to the U.S some weeks ago and used an AT&T SIM, 4G LTE worked perfectly and back in my country, it does not.
I tried changing LTE bands using this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...ad-progress-please-leave-im-updating-t2871269 but still not working. My carrier uses LTE Band 4.
I've also tried factory restores using the PC Suite. The original software is restored but 4G still does not work.
Any help would be appreciated!

Okp I let you know..the process es really easy...you spent more time documenting than doing it really...I think I'm going for a Cloud G3 Rom, which is more familiar and stable with the device.

All set, I fixed the trouble following this www(dot)grupoandroid(dot)com(slash)topic(slash)112493-guia-habilitar-bandas-lte-para-argentina-en-d855-int
PS.: Sorry the link format...they don´t let me post links as I´m a new user.
Hello,
My OnePlus 5T is running LineageOS 18.1, lineage-18.1-20210914 with firmware 10.0.1_dumpling
My issue : On a daily basis, some of my applications no longer have access to the Internet while others do. My device displays 4G/LTE. I have to restart my device to access the Internet. It's the same thing if I enable WiFi.
I'm in France and by default, my device was set to LTE/TDSCDMA/CDMA/EvDo/GSM/WCDMA for the preferred network.
With the code *#*#4636#*#*, in information on the phone, I changed to LTE/CDMA/EvDo/GSM/WCDMA (PRL) and I selected the radio band for Europe but the problem is still there.
I thought my mobile operator Free was the problem. But I tested my SIM card in another device and I did not encounter any problem.
Is it a firmware issue ?
I have two questions:
What is the firmware version to be installed ? Is the 10.0.1_dumpling version stable ? The LineageOS website doesn't have a link to the firmware anymore.
How to know when the problem occurs ? LOG capture ?
For information, I don't know if this is important, my device is rooted with MAGISK, I use AdAway and I have configured my DNS with Cloudflare in the network settings of the device. This doesn't seem to be the cause because when I uninstall everything, I still have the same problem.
Thanks for your help

hi dude,
had same issue on DotOS (youtube, XDA, Signal,...) / solution is: disabling 'Battery optimisation' for each app
Hi,
Wouah, OK, I would have never thought of that, thanks for the tip.
I just disabled battery optimization on the problematic APPs and will test this.
Thanks
Hello nicorvienne,
With delay (I was able to test ) I confirm that not optimizing the battery corrects my problem.
Thanks
Hi
i have my S22 Plus OXM Firmware - it has the wifi 5g channel 149 blocked - probably due to regulatory reasons - i need this channel for my wireless android auto
with my old A52s i have updated the firmware with Europe firmware and i used to see the channel when going to airplan mode - also CSC changed to Europe /UK or it was a country in east europe i cant remember Ukrain perhaps
Now
with S22 i have tried the same way i downloaded many OXM firmwares Australia/NL/UAE and everytime i see the CSC is the same and no matter in the airplan mode or not im not able to see the wifi channel
is there anyway to edit the allowed channels or change CSC without root or void warrenty/knox ?
thanks
I have the same problem too, did you manage to fix it?
