So I went to the LG website spent a couple hours getting drivers and packages all set up, on the page where i entered the imei and ID, it said unlock bootloader for my phone is not available, and apparently its a Taiwan model??? How do I get around this to install twrp and a rom?

No unofficial unlock yet. We may never have it. Some people apparently still working on it. But they're very silent.

I want to unlock my phone and have tried the free method with no success.
So I contacted tmobile and got an unlock code.
It was not accepted.
I am on 4.2.2 stock rom. Not rooted. 100% stock
My ideas:
I bought the phone from ebay 4 months ago so is it not accepted because I'm not the oroginal owner? (Very unlikely)
I must have messed up something while I was attempting the free unlock from service menu (possible)
I am not on the newest update. (Possible)
I havent done the update because I hear its impossible to access the service menu for free unlock so im holding on that till im unlocked.
Also if I have messed up my service menu if I restore it will it be back to normal?

I had the same problem as you. Pure stock and sammy's unlock codes wouldn't do crap!
I saw chainfire's region unlock app and tried it and in less than a minute, my phone is unlocked. I have posted a link for it unlock without using secret codes. It should work fine for you if you're rooted.

I have a few questions:
I am trying to unlock the bootloader for my nephews LG G4 but it seems like there is no way of doing it.
I followed the official method, entered the IMEI number and the DEVICE ID but I get a warning that they do not match and that we have X tries remaining before device gets locked. Right now it's sitting at 7 more tries remaining.
He had the bootloop issue a few months ago (phone wasn't unlocked or rooted or anything), sent it to LG, they fixed it and sent it back. The only explanation I can find is that the DEVICE ID doesn't match the IMEI number anymore because of them changing hardware? I really don't understand why the official method doesn't work or keeps saying that Device ID does not match your PHONE!
Anyway, I tried to root without unlocking the bootloader, and that didn't work either.
Is there a way to unlock this damn device without the official method?
If there isn't... Does using the One-Click-Root method work with this phone? He doesn't want to pay $80 AUD not knowing whether or not it will work...
Also all of this, just to fix the GPS Locking problem that HOPEFULLY would work if we change ROMS. Is there a way to fix the GPS problem without unlocking, rooting, and changing ROMS?

I have just purchased a used h815 and when I went to unlock via the official lg website, I was informed that my phone was a US variant, and unlock was not available.
I'm currently running 20h.. is there any way at all given the locked bootloader to
A) get root access?
B) install cm13?
If the answer is no.. i think I'll be sticking this back on eBay...

whenever the phone is rebooted i get an error message saying 'current version is not available for user. Can't find mathed cust for NT-code mcc/mnc[FFFFFF], subset[55]'

Alright guys, I was trying to fix my fingerprint (which I ended up doing) by flashing the global dev ROM 7.8.31 via fastboot with the miflash tool but I accidentally locked the bootloader while doing so. My phone came with the bootloader unlocked and now I can no longer unlock the bootloader. in developper options, the OEM unlocking option is enabled but no matter what I do in fastboot, the process simply does not work. I get the remote token verification has failed message. I have tried every freakin guide out there but my phone now refuses to get unlocked. I can't flash anything with miflash tool anymore, it just says failed, even when trying to flash the global dev 7.8.31 ROM. Anyone can help me here? Xiaomi says my device is unsupported for unlocking yet it was unlocked from the start........
What i did was the official unlock guide from xiaomi where you will get the code from them. Sadly you have to wait for 3days to be able to unlock them again.

Well I did that but it kept on saying I had too many IP requests of sorts but I used TunnelBear and set my location to Hong Kong and that allowed me to bypass that and the request was passed through. Surprisingly, I got a message 4 hours later that said I was able to unlock it instead of the 2-7 days it took for most people to get theirs
Same happened to me. I re-lock bootloader to install android pay, and bricked my phone.
Have to reboot in EDL mode (after >50 tries) and flash again.
But... Flashed a locked bootloader version, so i have to request for official unlock (phone came unlocked)
Now I have unlocked bootloader, with Magisk and Safety Net module with Android Pay working fine.
PS: i also had the IP problem. Used a Chinese proxy to override restriction.
I tried every possible way to unlock my mi6, but they all failed, including the international version, the Chinese version, I want to use the third-party rom and root, but I can't unlock my device so that I can't brush in recovery, I tried to force brush in recovery, but my mi 6 can't start, so I want to ask if there is any unofficial way to help me solve the problem of unlocking bootload, please don't tell me to use the official tools, because I tried. AFAIK there's no unofficial bootloader unlock for the Mi 6 now.
You might get one eventually but it is unlikely since even though the three days waiting sucks it does work...
What was not working on the unlock?
Did you bind the account on your phone and then wait three days (minimum) and then use the unlock tool (latest version)?
If not then try again.
Give us more information and we can help you.

All I have tried, before this, I have a mi5, I think I should know how to unlock, it should not be my problem, unlock tool tips I did not bind, but I was bound state, I tried Kind of version fails, the same problem, my account already has permission, I think there are unofficial mys5 bootload method, I think mi6 may also exist, so I come to ask you a solution? At which point you failed?
1. Failed on 99% unlock tool?
2. Failed to get the system unlock on Developer Options (the error appear as toast and say something like "10008 参数错误 请参考API文档") ?
If it's #2, then you must connect to any VPN server that is located in Mainland China (Beijing/Shanghai).
If it's #1, then you most likely have to wait 72 hours after you receive your unlock permission from your SMS.
I've just unlocked Mi Mix 2 2 weeks ago. The difference I noticed from when I unlocked my Mi6 is that I need to connect to VPN server in China. Half a year ago, I don't need to do that.
