******* TO MAKE IT MORE (ALMOST) LIKE LOLLIPOP USE THIS ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3004147
WARNING IF YOU USE THIS ROM AND THEN RETURN TO OTHER ROMS LIKE STOCK OR AOSP THE WIFI WONT WORK. FOLLOW THIS GUIDE FOR WIFI TO WORK AGAIN http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3005403 *******
Hello!
I've been seeing around about the lollipop. Many people wanted it and I thought to make a tutorial on how to make the Nokia X/XL look like close to AOSP lollipop look .
So let's get started!
Note: THIS PROCESS ONLY REQUIRES ONE REBOOT.
For this tutorial, I used CM10 ported to Nokia XL! You can use any other ROM to .
1. Make sure you have a custom ROM installed. And it should have Xposed module installed and have root access.
2. So we are going to download some stuff!
*Xstana module.
*Gravitybox [JB].
*Unicon icon themer.
*Moonshine icon pack.
*Root explorer.
*Google app (lollipop)
*Google now launcher (lollipop)
3.So when you guys have downloaded the given stuff let's get started.
4. Download the xposed module and install it (do not reboot). Next install xstana module, Gravitybox [JB], Unicon Icon themer from the link given below moonshine icon pack, root explorer, google app and google now launcher from the links given below.
5. When you have xposed installed, click xstana module and change the themes of status bar and navigation bar to lollipop.
6. Download root explorer and edit the build.prop file to get the navigation bar add qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 at the end of file.
7. Download the google app and google now launcher from given link and install it.
8. Download unicon icon themer and moonshine icon pack apply the icon pack.
9. Then install gravitybox for jellybean and restart your phone! When the phone is restarted, go into the Gravitybox and in transparent navbar and status bar and make them transparent that's it you got it!
DOWNLOADS:
*Unicon icon themer: http://m.apkhere.com/app/sg.ruqqq.iconthemer
*Xstana module (available in play store)
*Gravitybox JB (avaliable in Xposed installer)
*Moonshine icon pack (available in playstore)
*ES file explorer (to edit the build.prop for navbar also available in playstore)
*Google app: http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-search/google-app-4-1-24-1672412-arm-apk/
*Google now launcher: http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-now-launcher/google-now-launcher-1-1-1-1516623-apk/

It is because some roms have forced signal icons which cannot be changed, in order to change icons you have to compile and decompile the system ui I think. Like in semiaosp v2 the signal icons. I also have tried xstana in stock ROM and it works!

Which ROM did you used? You need to put qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 at the end of the build.prop file. And REMEMBER you have to write it and save it two times on SemiAOSP ROM because it doesn't save the first time. And also the navigation bar doesn't work in stock Nokia ROM.

Hey guys i've updated my device to android oreo but now i can't disable the navigation bar with the build.prop method which worked in the recent android versions.
If i add the "qemu.hw.mainkeys=1" line to the build prop my device screen stays black and the phone reboots after some seconds.
Is there another way to fully disable the navigation bar? I want to use pie controls so the global immersive hack is no option for me..
Thanks in advance

Hi, did you get these files? If not I can send them to you.
Could you please explain a little more the changes that you're making? Is it absolutely necessary to have busybox installed, or is it possible to make a modified systemui.apk that can be flashed/replaced to achieve the same thing?
Thanks!

These are modified systemui and frameworks being flashed. Busybox is enabling them to be installed. I have a Aroma installer on the 6P forum and it has the navigation bar disable mod in it.

I put the modded framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk for Nexus 6P in the magisk module, filled out config file, and zipped it up. I have no idea if it will work. I've had no luck doing full apk replacements in OREO.

Just tried it. Doesn't work - phone boots correctly but nav bar still there. One thing though is that Magisk no longer displays installed modules after installing your one, but I imagine that's not something you'd know why.
I'm new to themers - how do your mods work via aroma? They don't replace the full apks?

My mods only change in a apk what is necessary for the mod to work. I haven't messed with magisk since official O came out so I don't know if this will work either but this is based on the method I use in my aroma's if you want to try it.
