Hi,
I just got my new nexus 5X. Really impressed with the camera. I am big fan cyanogen mod. I wanted to know if I loose the camera quality with CM13 on nexus 5X
Will I get the same awesome HDR+ option on CM13 if download the google camera from the playstore? Will the quality be same?
Could some one using CM13, or any custom roms confirm ?
Regards,
Suman
Quality stay's the same. I advice you to get a different rom though. CM has no maintainer's on the 5X as far as I know. You have nightly builds but there is no one around to fix any device specific bugs.

Thank you, I hope the same is true for CM based roms.

I got a few questions:
1) Can you provide a link to a Lollipop rom for the S3 that has no issues? If not, can you suggest one with the least issues?
2) Can you provide a good Lollipop rom for the S3 thats not based on CM?

They all pretty much have the same issues, they're built off of the same base. And you're not gonna find a rom that's not built on CM. Maybe slim lp is the closest you're gonna come but CM is the base right now for everything. I'm running the nightlies and they're really stable. Definitely a daily driver. Some signal drops but that's pretty much it.

Works fine.
There are no best roms, what's best for you maybe isn't best for others.
That is why we don't allow these threads, since there's always members saying the rom they are using is best for them and becomes a redundant thread.
On that note, thread closed and moved.
When CM12 came out for Sprint GS3 there were camera issues so I flashed back to stock. Now I read some roms have solved that. Due to work and this phone being my daily I can't be testing out roms so I'll appreciate if you guys recommend any good Lollipop ROM with working camera and decent battery life. Thankyou.

OctOS and AICP in android development
SlimLP, Liquid, and the official CM nightly can be found in Original Development.
They are pretty decent roms...a few quirks here and there, but mostly stable and great battery life.
There are more great roms too, so just read through the threads. I'm sure I have missed a few here.

+1 on AICP. I use AICP 9.0 and have minimal bugs. The camera works fine. The nightlies are surprisingly stable.
I'm just looking for one that the Original Camera works and has good battery life and 4G.
Going to check out AICP

AICP 10.0 releases just came out yesterday. However, the stock front-facing camera doesn't work (A Better Camera on the Play Store works), but other than that it's great.
Hello, Im thinking of replacing my 1 year old LG G3 for OP3.
I have a question about AOSP roms. When AOSP rom like CM13 is flashed to phone that does not come with pure android some hardware may not work (like radio) or camera isnt as good as on stock based and battery life can be worse.
Is this the case for nexus phones and OP3?
Thanks in advance!
Unfortunately, Yes
CM is not AOSP,
stock rom ( OXYGEN ) is closer to aosp, but with experiences from my previousOP1 and 2, i thinks OOS on OP3 will sucks. CM is better for all Oneplus devices
So for example with CM the camera quality or battery quality will stay the same ?

Battery maybe even better. Camera i dont think so. Usually the camera experience is the best on a stock rom.
I was wondering if someone had experience with multiple versions of CM on this device and which one was the most stable and performs best. I noticed there is a new CM13 that seems to be actively updated so was thinking about giving it a go.

You can always try the cm13 builds listed under original android development. The issues I always seem to have with cm tend to be buggy gps or malfunctioning camera. My biggest turn off with cm or any aosp based builds are battery life and charge speed. I'm not knocking them and its definitely fun to try out but as a "daily driver" I find touchwiz based roms to just be more dependable.

Emotion is the most stable, followed by CM13, @SaintZ93 is a great developer!

That's a really convoluted way to say, "No, I don't have an answer to your question"
Which rom you guys recommend to replace official ROM?
I've been reading the threads and it seems every rom has a bug, but i'm actually fed of MIUI and want stock android.
LineageOS 15.1, no bug for me, smoother than MIUI. Just a weak SOT at some moments.

Thanks for the reply!
Moreover, there is weekly update which is really cool for bug fix and security.
LOS16 is also good rom, it doesn't still have all customizations of regular LOS15, but battery life is better

I'm waiting Official builds to update to LOS16 but I'm glad to know the battery is better than LOS 15.1 (which is not at the top...).
I'd say that LOS 16 is stable enough for daily use
