Try this
To download a ftf(a flashable file this is in types choose your type e.g, my mobile is
Xperia m c2004 so I choose "Firmware C2004 15.2.A.2.5 Generic Unbranded Brazil (4.2.2 JB)"
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2697277
And this by myself
Do as I say don't add anything
Now first of all download these
1.Flash tool (I know you already have)
2.Download CWM.img link(ignore if you already have)
LINK2-http://fs1.d-h.st/download/00124/TY6....1.5%20ROM.img
3.open flashtool and select flash icon and choose Fastboot
4.Now connect your device while pressing volume down button(device must be switched off by removing direct battery)
6.flashtool will show message "device connected in fastboot" then continue to next step
5.Now after choosing fastboot menu there is a option "Select a kernal to flash" select that option and browse the folder where you have downloaded CWM.img now you can't see that .img File because the browse the location that you have selected has by default extension ".sin" just select it to ".img"(see attachments) and flash it.
6.After this Turn on device and the notification below device glows pink.Abruptly hold volume up button and enter CWM recovery and select mounts s backup and format /system /boot /cache /data.
7.Now connect it to flashmode and flash the desired ftf(don't flash any other) choose from top given link
8.Comment Straight forward it works or not

Rooted? Access to Recovery(CWM/AmonRa)? Does Fastboot work?
I assume you are not branded, because you did not mention it.
Install HTC sync. Download this rom: http://shipped-roms.com/download.ph...9.00.32U_5.11.05.27_release_159811_signed.exe
Close htc sync if you have it running. Then run this ruu. You could also try a different computer if it does not work and make sure you run as administrator.
If above steps fail try this method:
You can extract the ROM.zip from any RUU to install via ZIP
Start the RUU and once at the first main screen click Start>Run and type
%temp%
now, find the newest folder and in there will be a ZIP file called Rom - copy this to your desktop and rename it PB99IMG. (Don't extract the file) Now copy this to your SD card and start the phone in HBOOT (turn it on whilst holding volume down). It will find the file and start the update. Just follow the instructions...
Do all this while not plugged into your computer. Thanks to Eddyos.

it is not rooted. fastboot cant start. only error screen.
I dont know what is CWM/AmonRa? i did not try. can you explain how to do it?
i say again: i have tried all shipped roms. And fastboot does not work.So i cant update by sdcard.
If your Phone is branded try a Goldcard: http://theunlockr.com/2010/03/10/how-to-create-a-goldcard/
Try the latest RUU: http://www.multiupload.com/LEJCW182AH
or: extract the ROM.zip from the RUU put it on your SDCARD and rename it PB99IMG.zip. Reboot to Bootloader
You have to be in Fastboot Mode for this. Boot your Phone in Fastboot with volume down+standy by button to enter the Bootloader. Choose Fastboot with the Side Buttons (aka Volume Keys) and confirm with StandBy Button (upper left).
To get the ROM.zip start the RUU, shortcut windows+r, type %TEMP% and search for ROM - http://t.dex01.de/fHYbU.

You don't need fastboot in order to update from sdcard.

[Q] Bricked my Desire Z.... I think (screenshots inside)

I rooted and did s-off and installed a custom ROM about a year and a half ago when I first got my phone.
Last night I obviously missed a step when I tried to update my ROM to Cyanogenmod.
Stuck in Hboot loop. My phone is recognizable in adb when it's stuck at the white HTC screen. I can power into fastboot but the volume buttons don't work so I can't access any of those options.
When I type "adb devices: it says: HT0AMRV07945
When I type "fastboot devices" nothing is found
Here are some screenshots:
No buttons work on this screen so I have to go into Hboot:

}
I mistakenly hit up instead of down and said yes to updating:
This is the only screen where my volume and power buttons still work.
Looks like the prob is that you have 2 update.zip's find the duplicate and rename reflash rom after wiping to ensure a good flash. That should work I had same prob.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA
I can find the duplicate by removing the card from my phone and inserting it into my PC. After that I don't know how to wipe the phone and load a ROM from the hboot screen.
Or are you saying it should boot normally after I rename the duplicate update.zip?
Hmm... is there anything named PC10IMG.zip on your sd card?
Go into recovery
1) Remove all ZIP files from your SD card (only the files that are NOT contained in any folder). So your phone will not try to install anything when in HBOOT.
2) When adb is working you can boot into recovery using the following command:
adb reboot recovery
3) From recovery you can do:
Wipe cache partition
Install a new ROM
Install a new radio
4) While in the white HTC screen you can get some log messages from the phone using adb. Some examples:
adb logcat : Shows logcat information (phone log)
adb logcat *:V : Shows verbose logcat info
adb shell dmesg : Shows kernel messages
adb shell ps : Shows all running processes of your phone
5) When still stuck you can write me a private message at XDA

failed upgrade Rom RUU in HTC T-Mobile M9

Trying to upgrade my HTC M9 (T-Mobile) with a ROM RUU_HIMA_UL_L51_SENSE70_TMUS_MR_TMOUS_2.11.531.19.exe (2.3GB), it reached 75% and the upgrade failed.
Now turning on the phone freezes in the HTC logo.
Trying to get "recovery mode" hangs showing me a red exclamation mark.

Got Recovery Mode
After "Exclamation Mark" Once there, hold the power button and tap the up vol button and I have all of my Recovery mode options.
In Recovery Mode made "Wipe Cache Partition" and "Factory Reset".
After reboot still hang in HTC Logo.
Can I upgrede (or fix) from SD Card. Can you tell me how?
regards
About the SD card method, you first need to rename the "RUU zip" file, (make sure RUU is not in exe format), to 0PJAIMG.zip, place it on an SD card that's formatted in FAT32, reboot to download mode and press volume up to begin flashing. But before you proceed with this method, make sure your CID and MID match with those of the RUU you are trying to flash. Hope it helped.
Edit: Alternatively, just run the RUU exe you already have. When it has finished extracting and asks to proceed by clicking "Next", do not click "Next".
Instead, hold Windows Key and then press r (to launch run) and type in %temp% and press Enter. You'll see a lot of files. Just right click and sort by "Date Modified". Locate the latest folder created, in this case it might be the first one. Open the folder, press CTRL+F and type in rom.zip. Copy rom.zip and paste it somewhere (Desktop for example). This zip file is what you need. Rename it to 0PJAIMG.zip, place it on an SD card that's formatted in FAT32, reboot to download mode and press volume up to begin flashing.

Stock Bootloader loop, can't go into recovery mode, tried everything

I wanted to downgrade to 5.0 to unlock the bootloader and install a custom recovery and ROM. Used the official FW from the Asus page, installed it from within the OS (android MM stock). It all went as expected until at the end of the install it rebooted and got into the bootloader screen instead of booting normally. It won't go into recovery.
Phone will NOT turn on with power button + volume down button, not ever.
Power button + volume up does nothing, it turns the phone on just like the power button alone would do.
Once in the stock bootloader if I select [recovery mode] it will simply reset and go back to where I was. I never get the dead android error, it just go back to the bootloader select menu
I get this screen

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
What can I do? all the tutorials I seen either asume I can get into recovery or use power button + volume down button which in my case doesn't works
Find images of system, ifwi, recovery etc. and fastboot flash them. you can try first with recovery only. the adb command will be "fastboot flash recovery recovery.
img" just search the forum plenty of guides here

I looked at the guides, most require recovery on the phone to work (it doesnt here, just reboots back into the bootloader) and for some reason adb can't find this phone, tried on 2 different computers
BTW I tried with another android phone and adb worked just fine
How is it possible no computer can even tell this phone is connected at all?

Bricked Z2 pro

Hello,
I have a z2 pro, and i wanted to change the ROM on it. Since it came with a modified ROM, i flash a stock ROM. I then unlocked bootloader sucessfully.
I transfered the new ROM to the phone and did a
Code:
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
The phone booted with twrp correctly. I then did a wipe of system, cache and dalvik.
I tried to install the new ROM, but it prompted me the error "Unknown Command [log]". Having already installed a new ROM on another device, i remembered that disconnecting the usb cable or rebooting did the work, so i did both.
Now, the phone isn't recognized by my computer, so i can't redo the "fastboot flash", and when i go into recovery mode, it isn't TWRP that is loaded but this

How can i do to load TWRP again on the phone ?
Edit: I have shut down the phone and hold the power button, windows seems to recognize it as a cd drive. QFIL still doesn't change his status from "no port available"
Thanks
