When I use the Google Voice Search to say "Call xxxx" (xxxx = any search term/non-contact) the number that shows after the search has a +1 in front of it. When it tries to dial it would ring, then a Verizon message would say the number cannot be dialed. I was hoping flashing CM7 would take care of this, but now it just fails to dial without the Verizon message. It fails immediately after attempting to dial.
I've seen a few topics across the web about this, most of them have to do with the phone adding a country code in place of the number and failing. However, I can't find a working solution.
CM7 doesn't appear to have call settings that would help. Has anyone experienced this issue? Can you dial a number that begins with a +1 from inside the US? I've heard (don't want to test) that dialing other countries with the plus sign works. I've also read that it's a known issue with HTC, and they may be working on a fix.
It's not a major problem, but that's what I typically use voice search for is searching for an address or number quickly. It's kind of a pain to memorize the number and dial that way.
For what it's worth, the issue is gone after flashing MIUI. It may be that I wiped the dalvik cache before flashing this one.
After upgrading to 4.0.4 (Evolution v4 and Darthstalker v3) Google Voice will show different number when call out. With 4.0.3 and before, everything works like it should. When call to contact, it will show contact name and number. Now, it will show contact name and some strange number. Problem is the strange number appears in logs instead of contacts' number, so I can't tell who I called.
Anyone experience this?

I haven't experienced this however I use google voice every day for VM. I used it at one point to make calls and it screwed up everyone I called because it was a Sullyvale, CA phone number instead of Orlando, FL.
Have you tried clearing the app data, uninstalling and reinstalling? Are you restoring it from TI backups? I've found I have problems when I switch ROMS and restore it from a previous backup at times.. Just a thought. My Gmail won't send mail when I restore it from TI backup, I always have to clear data or just re-install it from scratch..
It works great in cm9, cm10, jkv3

Have you checked your Google Voice settings on a computer? There are certain settings you can only access via a computer and I know there's a setting that determines the number that is displayed. I'm not in front of a computer atm, so I'm not sure if this would apply to your issue or not but it worked fine for me on 4.04
I'm using GV for all my calls via the handset and it works as expected and displays the right incoming/outgoing numbers, so maybe worth a look?

I've done everything possible, clear data, clear cache, then reinstall, then flash cache wipe via CWM, nothing work. Go back to 4.0.3 then everything works fine. I've checked the setting on my GV account and found nothing, weird.
My blutooth connects fine with my BMW 330i 2006 but will stuck at loading phonebook screen. I can make calls and receive calls, but won't see their names, just number.
I noticed Swype Beta takes forever to download and install when running on DarthStalker 4.0.4 v3. If anyone who is using that rom please help. I love the rom with unique features like incall recording.. but I can't live with those 3 issues.
Anyone who can help me solve any of those issues will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks everyone.
Bump.....
Anyone?
I have a problem with Contacts crashing. If I have the Google Voice setting enabled for Voicemail Display in the phone call log, when I access the log and look at a contact that has left me a voicemail, it crashes contacts with the message "Unfortunately contacts has stopped". It happens every time if there is a voice mail in the contacts' history. I have cleaned all the apps' caches, uninstalled and reinstalled google voice, etc. Does anyone have any other ideas to try? Anyone else having this problem?
I have the same problem, and tried to contact the google voice developer (google), but it states the email address doesn't respond to replies. I'm not sure what else to do. I think it has something to do with being incompatable with Android 5.1.1 (which is what I just upgraded to).

Same problem, note 4, t-mobile, Google voice VM enabled causes contacts to crash. Anyone with solution?
Ah, finally. now I don't feel so alone. LOL
It only happens to me when there is a voicemail on the screen of my call log. if there isn't one visible, when I scroll down to where one is, it crashes on loading. I tried deleting a lot of my voice mails, but no success; I just have too many to get rid of them all.

Hi there. I have a really strange issue with my S9 and a new Lebara SIM in the UK, and I'd really appreciate some help. I just moved from another provider where the phone worked fine, but with the new SIM and no change in settings, I can make calls and get internet and text messages using mobile data, but incoming callers just get a number unobtainable tone. I have tried everything I can think of: checked call barring, cleared phone app cache, cleared start-up cache, even done a factory reset, all to no avail. I've tried the SIM on another phone and it then does take incoming calls, so something on the S9 is causing this, it seems. Ideas and suggestions very welcome - thanks in advance!
