Slow to wake from standby - Elephone P8000

My Elephone P8000 had always been a bit slow to wake on pressing standby button. The same thing has occurred in stock room and Eragon. Does anyone have similar experience or know of any causes?

I have only had this problem on the stock rom but on the latest Eragon rom the wake is instant.

OK. I've have flashed latest Eragon. I'll give a bit more time. But if it doesn't happen to you then it may be part of my setup.

[Q] Fast battery drain inconsistent behaviour

I flashed a custom ROM [unofficial CM9 ICS4.0.4]. Everything seems to be working fine, but there are a few problems and I'm wondering if this is normal for those using this. It's my first time flashing a ROM on my android and I'm not sure if it's normal. Did some searching in the forum, couldn't find much info too. Maybe I didn't search hard enough!
Anyway, here are some issues, I'm not even sure if it's the ROM.
1. Sometimes, the apps just bring me back to the home screen several times. Example: Running whatsapp brings me to home screen a few times, or when I go into a conversation, it brings me back to the conversation list but eventually it works.
2. On another occasion, every app that I ran would be unresponsive and I needed to end it. Solved it by rebooting.
3. Battery drain is very fast with little usage. I thought running a custom ROM usually provides better battery life.
I've not overclocked it, it's still in it's default value after flashing 1024. So I doubt it's anything to do with that. But since we're on the topic on overclocking. Desire HD didn't have anything beyond Gingerbread. So if we're flashing anything greater, is there a need overclock to be able to work comfortably on a higher OS? Is there a minimum or maximum for it to function comfortably?
Thanks!
Hmm, did more reading up.
Could it be I didn't calibrate my battery after flashing a new ROM?
Just flashed ARHD 6.4, will try to calibrate after that.
Appreciate any other advice though

Problems with cm11

Hello there
I've installed cm11 on my Xperia ZL and I love it. But I've noticed some problems with this Rom. My phone gets very hot after a short time of using it. My phone is throughout on 55C even now, although I have just opened chrome. This hight Temperature also let my battery drain very fast. I woke up today with 100% and now, after 5 hours I've got just 36% . I'm sure that can't be normal, maybe you have a solution for me
And I've got a second question. I wanted to install the lightning Kernel in hope that the temperature gets normal. I've installed the Kernel with success but my phone randomly reboots itself. Do you have maybe also a solution for that?
Actually I am back on cm11 Kernel.
So I hope for help
And sorry for my English, I'm German
1st, on my opinion, cm11 is full of lag... For example the notification bar.... Sorry, i can't find any solution bcs i'm not on your rom
2nd, Well, it's normal to random reboot... I got no random reboot whe i'm using AICP, and CandyKat..
But sadly, i lost my phone sorry i can't find any solution

Screen freezing solved for me

Hi all just want to share my experience with the screen locking issue (won't wake from sleep).
It has been a real pain in my ass and lately was getting worse.
So I'm happy to say after 7 days I have not had the dreaded screen freezing at all, all i did was turn off the keep screen awake while charging. i turned it off and no more not waking while hitting the power button. I'm not saying this was the cause for every user a fix everyone. For whatever reason it did work for me and I figured I'd share and maybe help someone else.
Just wanted to update, after 2 weeks my screen has not frozen once.
My device exhibited the same behaviour on stock 4.4.4. Meaning, it did not wake up from sleep upon power button press. It eventually woke up, after a couple seconds or maybe up to 30 seconds.
I have not had the option ticked you had, for me it was a custom kernel I used. I am back on the stock kernel and have not had any spontaneous reboots I had before nor does my device not properly wake up from sleep. All perfect.
As the user above, I am simply sharing my experience. Your mileage may vary.

[Q] Freezing and Terrible Lag On any ROM (Including Stock)

My S3 has recently been extremely laggy and will be unresponsive for up to 5 minutes at a time. Occasionally, it will reboot, but usually it will just freeze and stay there. I haven't installed any new apps and I kept an eye on my CPU temps and clock speeds. Seems like it is always running at 1.5 GHz whenever I touch the screen and stays there until the screen is turned off. CPU temps also reached as high as 69 Celsius and cooled down to a constant 47-50 Celsius (which I believe is unusually high).
I've ODINed back to stock NF1 and NH2 firmware, and the lag still persists. I've flashed SlimKat 9, CM11 M12, and it seems the 4.4 ROMs freeze more often than the CM12.1 0516 nightly I'm currently running, but all ROMs I use all freeze up. On 4.4.4, I used LeanKernel v9.16 with no overclock/overvolt and interactiveX. On 5.1, I'm using the stock kernel.
Could my hardware be damaged? I can't tolerate this freezing issue anymore, especially since each reboot drains battery and will lead to another hang 50% of the time. I actually contemplated tossing my phone against the wall.
Does it hang from a fresh flash without any third party apps installed? If so, then it is probably a hardware issue

Just flashed the CM12.1 nightly as a clean install. Ran all apps and did not experience any hangs, will do further testing to confirm the issue is gone. Seems like your advice worked and I should be ashamed because I troubleshoot computers and it's what I do/recommend when a computer is slow.

Battery drain due to automatic screen wake up

Hi Friends,
In my SM-G920P, my screen wakes up automatically every 10-15 seconds. This doesn't happen 24X7 but whenever it happens it continues for a long time and stops automatically. I have disabled gesture wake up, raise to wake etc and also tried safe mode but all in vain. Disabled all notifications, turned on airplane mode also but same issue. Tried Wake Lock powermanager which helps some times but it drains the battery. The issue started when I flashed official 7.0 ROM after rooting my device. So as you can see the knox is broken and can't take to Samsung.
I love my S6 a lot. Any suggestion would really help.
Thanks

The good news is that it is not your phone or the operating system. I am pretty sure that there will be one app that turns out to be the culprit.
Wakelock Detector should help you find that.
If that doesn't work, wipe everything and reinstall. Here are instructions to install: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73232175&postcount=352

Thanks a lot. I have installed wakelock detector just now and waiting for the problem to reoccur.
