Hi there,
I'm using my g3 with stock marshmallow (but it was even was like that on lollipop), not rooted. I like it the way it is, but I've noticed, that using the default font manager does not change the fonts everywhere, like on other phones.
For example: I change the font in the settings and open whatsapp, then there's some mixture of fonts. Names and messages are displayed in the default font, but the message preview is in the new selected font.
Can somebody tell me if there's anything I can do about it, except rooting it?
I know how to root, but since it's my companys phone I would like to avoid it.
Thank you

Hey, I've got a Samsung Galaxy Nexus (Verizon, SCH-I515) that I'm working on fully customizing to my liking and I had a few questions I was hoping to get some help with, mainly pertaining to changing the default font colors. I'm running Paranoid Android 3.1 (JB 4.2.2) as well as using Nova Launcher Prime. The basic idea of what I'm doing is changing the entire phone from a dark themed phone into a light themed phone. This includes everything, the dialer, settings menu, notifications menu, etc.
I'm currently using Ninjamorph to find all the image files to replace with their light counterparts I'm doing and though sometime tedious, I seem to be slowly finding all the files I need. The problem is I need to change the font colors now from light to dark so that I can see them with my lighter backgrounds. From what I understand, I'll need to go to the framework-res.apk/res/color and inside those XML files will be the coding for the font colors.
1.) If I can just email the XML file to myself from my phone and open it on my computer, what program can I use to read the XML file to change the values I need to? I figure after that I can download the edited file to my phone and use Ninjamorph to put it back into my framework-res.apk.
2.) Would I be able to change the background in the app drawer from black by default to white, from one of these XML files as well?
3.) Is there any way that this white housing (http://www.ebay.com/itm/new-Housing...261?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20cc67e87d) would fit my phone? It's designed for i9250 but if it'll fit I'd like to try it.
I attached some screen shots below of my phone so you can see the basic idea of what I'm trying to do and where I'm at. Thanks so much for taking the time to read this!
Nothing guys? Really?
Title says it all I'm afraid. I'm using the stock TW UI & the email app with the black background inbox is infuriating me.
Is there a way to invert the colours or change it to anything but grey writing on black background?
Currently unrooted but will root to be able to read emails in sunlight.
Always a way, you will need to rooted. I do have other request for making it better to read, problem is. I don't have the apk and don't use it. Ide need the apk

It's great that there are OEMs like LG that provide this level of customization out of the box. The option that sounded the most interesting was the ability to change fonts without using root methods. The only problem I've found is that all the fonts one can download from SmartWorld are pretty hideous.
I know I can change the system font with several root apps, but this method is sketchy and was responsible for bricking one of my phones in the past. The SmartWorld fonts are installed as an APK if I'm not mistaken. My knowledge of how APKs are structured is fairly limited, but I was wondering if it would be possible to decompile one of the font APKs (if necessary. Again, not incredibly familiar with them), change the font file to a custom one, and install it on the G3 in a way that it would act like any other SmartWorld installed font and can be selected from the Settings > Display > Font type menu.
TL;DR is it possible to install a custom, non-SmartWorld font as if it were from SmartWorld and use it with the stock font changing settings? Thanks in advance.
I would love to know this as well.
UPDATE:
I used to use ifont on my GS4 but it wouldn't work on my LG G3. It used to cause boot loops but apparently they must have fixed and made it compatible and now it works flawlessly.
Please hit the thanks if I have helped you.
Me too having the same doubt. Since the SmartWorld fonts are working well, so the other fonts can also work with some customizations.. I hope any of the developers will come forward and do it..
Can someone upload a font apk from smart world? Trying to figure this out now.

"Thanks Button" is always appreciated!

Hello,
I've just updated my M8 to Android 6.0. What surprised me was keyboard. White and eye hurting. I would like to change it back to old, dark one. As I searched through, it is possible to do that by changing theme to Material Dark, but I cannot find that.
Another thing is.. emojis. Ugly Samsung ones. :\ How could I change it to old ones?
Thank you for suggestions!
emoji free font theme
it changes it to the ones like the iphone
also it changes the font
the font itself is kinda stock and just fine
but you get the whatsapp /apple emoji's witch is awesome
I know the themes app has don't changing option but it uses Huawei hwt files. I don't quite understand how they work. Before this I'd just use magisk module to switch my emojis to EmojiOne/Joy Pixels. But now I'm lost cause there aren't any EmojiOne/Joy Pixels theme made for Huawei that I can just download. Neither do I know how to make them myself. Neither do I have root or can root to use magisk modules.
Besides I found a really cool font. I noticed if I use iOS emojis, the font also gets switched. I wanna have Dubai font for Arabic, custom English font and EmojiOne/joy pixels emoji. Wonder if it's possible to mix and match like that
Whoops I screwed up, how do I move this to questions section?
