I have the M2 801W. Before I bought it, I did some research and found that unfortunately it cannot be connected to an external monitor.

I've recently bought Xperia's HDMI cable. It works fine on TV but I wonder if it's possible to connect it to PC, to Video Cards HDMI, I have one. But when I connect nothing happens. You wanna use your computer as an external screen for your phone(just like tv)? The possible HDMI port in your computer is HDMI-out, and you cannot use it as HDMI-in. You will need some kind of a usb adapter for it.
And if your monitor(you have a desktop pc?) has an HDMI port, it would be an HDMI-in port. Try plugging your phone into your monitor?
it should work probably... don't know if the graphic card or the monitor will be propertly shown on phone due to resolution issues...

I just bought a hdmi cable to the phone, but unfortunately when I connect the phone to my TV, the HDMI icon appears and then disappears, reappears, this happens all the time and I have no video. Has anyone had a similar problem?

That sounds like the cable or the port are faulty, resulting in losing connection.
Have you tried another cable?

maybe you have a problem with the hdmi service
I have faced the same problem. The new bought HDMI converter was faulty. changed and it worked.
I had a similar problem with a cheap HDMI cable, try another cable :good:

3> Check for update

I'm pretty sure there is no MHL support in the Nexus 7 2013, it supports Slimport..

I have brand new Fire TV stick 4k and trying OTG cable to work... I tried two OTG cables with two different IR receivers (Microsoft and generic) and USB to LAN adapter - nothing being recognized by stick...
Any suggestions what should I try? I have latest firmware.

Plug in a USB mouse and start an app wich shows the mouse cursor, if it doesnt work then the OTG cable is not supported with the fire tv.
